Amazon Pallets For Sale: The Liquidation Scam

There is a whole craziness online these days about a new, trending opportunity: Amazon pallets for sale. More specifically, Amazon liquidation pallets, which means return products that consumers send back as faulty. These items are placed on crates and sold as wholesale deals – some sort of mystery boxes that you can check before buying them.

However, this promising concept created a monster and generated the biggest scam of the year when it comes to online retail. There are tons of Amazon scams out there (another new one is the Amazon Empty Box Scam), but this one takes the cake. Let's take an in-depth look at the fraud – and how to avoid it. But before that, if you are a victim of a scam, we might be able to help recover your funds – click HERE to fill a form if you lost over $2,000US to this scam. Let's begin.

In this article, we'll debunk the scam and we will also tell you how to remove personal information on the Internet after a fraud like this, so criminals don't sell it to third parties. Plus, we'll show you how to detect if an Amazon pallet selling website is a fake. Keep reading.

How The Amazon Liquidation Pallets Became Fraud Subject

The actual deal about these Amazon liquidation pallets is two-fold:

First, it represents an opportunity for potential entrepreneurs to open their own businesses. They have to retrieve and make an offer for all the Amazon returns and resell them.

Secondly – where the scam comes into the picture – is that millions of consumers around the world have now the real possibility to purchase items in bulk for a fraction of the actual price. This is where the Amazon pallets for sale make a lot of sense since the value is much higher than what the buyer pays for them. Only if they were all real.

Think about it: a perfectly working laptop that was returned because of an order error could be purchased, say, for $90. Add a few other high-end items and could have an excellent mini-studio for under $200.

It is the same for the Temu pallets scam, too. But let's look more into the scheme.

Fake Amazon Return Pallets, One Notorious Bait

Let's look quickly at the incredible numbers below:

  • Each second, Amazon records $4,722.
  • Every minute, those sales amount to $283,000.
  • In an hour, that is more than $17 million.
  • There are over 119 million products for sale on Amazon.
  • Amazon's average daily sales revenue is $1.4 billion, contributing to its total revenue of $514 billion in 2022.
  • Amazon's net sales amounted to $127.36 billion in Q1 2023, with a 9.37% increase compared to the same quarter in the previous year.
  • Amazon accounts for nearly 40% of the U.S. e-commerce market.
  • In 2022, Amazon's net revenue increased by over $44 billion year-on-year, from $469.82 billion in 2021 to $513.9 billion.
  • Amazon ships to customers in more than 100 countries and regions.
  • Customers complete 28% of Amazon purchases in 3 minutes or less and 50% of purchases in less than 15 minutes.
  • In 2022, US-based sellers sold more than 4.1 billion items to customers worldwide.
  • In 2022, US-based sellers averaged more than $230,000 in sales.
  • Third-party sellers in the U.S. sold over 7,800 products per minute on Amazon in 2022.
  • Amazon ships 2.5 billion packages a year.
  • The average Amazon Prime member user spends $1,400/year.

Now, here is the thing: The average return rate on Amazon is somewhere between 5% to 15%. However, the return rate for the most popular categories – electronics, clothing or jewelry – can go as high as 40%. This means that over 200 million products are returned every year. Where do all these items go? Here comes the real Amazon return pallets business opportunity, but also the scam that's attached to it.

Criminals set up websites with fake Amazon pallets for sale and then promote them online, on platforms like Facebook, Instagram or even Google AdSense. They even buy ads to feature their suspicious domain names at the top of every search.

There are thousands of fake Amazon liquidation pallets websites out there. Sometimes, they are advertised as mystery boxes for sale. We at Scam Detector receive daily over 100 requests to validate legitimate sites that sell such things.

As a fact, 99.9% of the websites that claim to sell Amazon liquidation pallets online-only are scams. Instead of offering the ‘Add to cart' option, these crooks implemented the ‘Add to the pallet” feature.

  1. Add me to the list of people that got taken …Cost me $60, so far …. now that they have my debit card info. who knows when they may try and use it again!!! …. What amazes me is that FB doesn’t give a tinkers damn about the 99% of the scammers that use FB as their venue to advertise the Amazon Pallet Sale Scam, they do not monitor these fraudulent domains that are created daily, they do nothing to stop them, block them or delete them

    1. Only a fool uses a debit card to buy anything. Now you have to fight to get your money back use a Credit card and just dispute the charges and your money is still in your bank account.

    1. An Amazon platform cheated me, took $3000 from me and blocked me.

  2. I saw one of these sites advertising the pallets today. I had a look on the page and saw a PS5 and VR-glasses in that mystery box. A ps5 and VR-glasses for 50 euros? Is this a scam or is it something I will regret for the rest of my life? But I got sceptical first when it said there was only 5 of them left to buy and when it ticked down to 0 it went up to 35 again, very suspicious.
    2. And all the people that had commented about all the stuff they got from it or how “at least Im safe by using paypal if I get nothing”. Every single person had written in my language (swedish) but not a single actual swedish name. It was only russian or asian names.
    3. How I couldnt post my screenshots to warn ppl from buying. Pictures were somehow banned from being used in the comments but a bunch of people had somehow posted pictures of what they got in their boxes. Very suspicious.
    4. After the time to buy the -75% pallets ticked down to 0 the entire site somehow disappeared off the internet.

    1. So sorry to hear that, I lost the same amount of money to this scam. My regret is that I paid with the Sears credit card, and they are not helpful when I tried to stop a payment to this company. Had I pay with my Paypal, I should have been able to have my money back because they really have your back when a situation like this occurs. I am sure there are a lot of us out there.

  3. I was scammed by a company selling the GE Profile Icemaker for 79.00. As soon as I clicked pay, I knew it was a scam. Some Chinese company was on the pay pay invoice. I week or two went by and i emailed them, kept getting run-a-round emails back. I contacted Pay pal and the FTC. I was immediately refunded. It is a shame that these websites are able to do this. Something needs to be done ASAP!!

  4. Hi From November 21 until January 22 I was confined to house due to covid lockdown.Being Amazed by the wonderful opportunities to by Amazon pallets I went for it,Spending in the Amount of 3000 hard earned dollars. To this day i still have not seen any of them. Even having a conversation with ???someone from the Landfall.Store asking why they charged me 1000 dollars when said free shipping.Because you ordered so many was the answer…Have I learned a lesson Lets Educate our Children before they get sucked into these scams too…..Broke and Out.

  5. Abraham F Liebenberg

These guys falsely advertised tools and then they scam people Seems like FineArtsWork also trading as Ntlnn come up with a new plan every week to scamed people , have all the proof of my order and payment i made by debit card FineArtsWork also trading as Ntlnn is a scam they scammed me

    1. I got scammed on facebook Market place ordered a work bench some one posted for a total with shipping of $60.00. recieved a pair of dollar store sunglasses. paypal said I had to send them back to their china address. post office said the return postage was $700.00 so I paid $60.00 for a pair of kids no name sunglases.

  6. Something needs to be done quickly with this false ass misleading so called jerks that God only knows how much they have stolen from people like us. Im still trying to get my money back through Pay Pal.I was suppose to get 2 pallets and received 2items earbuds, kids scissors.

  7. I want to let everyone know that the Inscents Waterfall or rather the company that sells them is a scam and to NOT do business with them. I’m currently in an active dispute with my bank representing me over unauthorized charges that have been made to my credit card. There are 4 of them all in different amounts that don’t make any sense. There should have been only one charge that I authorized but that price doesn’t match any on my statement. In addition, when going through the purchase process they try to get you to buy additional Inscents Cones but when I tried to decline the offer by selecting NO THANKS it instead recorded the action as I Accept. Additionally, it did the same thing when I was offered Insurance and declined that offer. I was charged anyway. Since I was prevented from going back a page I had to continue and just hoped that I would be allowed to review and make changes to the order before it was completed. Nope, there wasn’t this option page. I did contact them but they just blamed me for hitting the incorrect selections and only offered me additional Inscent Cones “free of charge” if I kept the order the way it was. The correct and authorized charge should have been in the amount of $58.87 which includes the product price (for 3) plus $7.99 FedEx Ground Shipping. My bank statement lists 4 charges all on the same day for: $53.36, $60.80, $53.36, and $41.94. These charges are “pending” so hopefully, my bank doesn’t release them for payment since I haven’t received any items, told them I wanted to delete the order and I’m disputing the fraudulent charges. But for now the total they have charged to my credit card is $209.46…a big difference from the “would be” legitimate charge of approximately $58.87.

    1. I was scammed by the same company in the same way and PayPal refused to do anything about it, so I deleted my PayPal account. PayPal is worthless most of the time. The incense cones sent by them really stink!. They smell horrible.

  8. I’m glad I’m not the only one these assholes got I did the large pallet for 59. And some change but it took a bit to get here tracker all the way here but when I got my notification about a package coming in the mail that same day I knew I was screwed got the package that was just pieces of cardboard taped together with a cheat ass screw gun from dollar general. I bitched about it and they offered me a 30dollar in store purchase

  9. I would like to know how these people keep getting the advertisement through TickTock Facebook and any other ones this Premolo company they didn’t give me but for about 20 something dollars but it took me over 30 emails they lost my order they want to meet us in them what I bought in the sales receipt the lady that I was talking to by email of course these were canned emails they were I was an asshole and they were sending back these real nice emails but I 45 days and I got five dollars worth of crap from China I just like to know what and how they keep getting advertisement

  10. They took me for $112.00 I was supposed to get 2 xtra large pallets and didn’t get shit and said they were delivered the 28th I even paid extra for the 7 day shipping and gave the fucks a tip. I am beyond pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do I get my money back from these assholes ?

  11. Scammed for 86$ . Purchased two SUPER SIZE PALLETS and received two small items in a 9×12 bubble mailer envelope in my mailbox worth $9.99 earbuds on amazon and a cheap as heck watch with painted on dials worth nothing. Paid $3.00 for shipping insurance and even left $2.00 in the TIP CATEGORY!! Website said all poets were shipped from the United States when in fact my items were shipped from China with no return address. I did get in contact with customer service they offered me a 20% discount on my pallets when I asked for a full money back return. I told them that was not acceptable that Two items does not equal two pallets and I do believe they are scam and they replied with it’ll cost over $20 to send your package back for a refund that it would be better to just get a 30% return on my purchase not including the shipping or the tip and at that point I just accepted the 30% off which was only $24 and still believe it would have been more money back if they would have give me a return address for my refund and I shipped their items back to China. I told them once again that I do not understand how two pallets equals two items they never answered me on that and wanted a 5-star review on a website that don’t even exist anymore! Also I found the ad on Facebook under different names but the same website design and the same customer service email addresses and left many of reviews. I do believe the Amazon or Facebook should do something in order to stop this.

  12. I just got burned by the get 2 fo1 deal that flashed on my phone. Heres how they worked me so you set up an account to keep track of your packages (pallets) when you check it it shows no purchases so you think ok it didnt go thru so you do it again. The you see an email from directbuy claiming your one purchase is being shipped from China! You credit card lists a co named Blueflame. And the small 2 item package with a cheap bracelet and small screwdriver set comes ( value $5.00) from a Peter Edwards 229 Littlefield st. south san Francisco no invoice or anything. Researched address and its a trucking co. Called Nippon usa.! I am still waiting to hear back from them. The website has Amazon all over it. They need to have better watchdogs! I order about 30 pkgs a month from them. They need to step up security.

    1. I got the same crap but if I knew where these people were at I’m gonna have a talk with them they’re just scam artist I need to get a real damn job they keep using the word palette say no palette anything anyway I thought I’d share my

  13. They took me for about $60.00 and I don’t know how to go about getting my money back. If anyone has any suggestions.

    1. I ordered two mystery boxes and received nothing. I contacted Paypal to return my money. The company I couldn’t contact before emailed me saying ‘sorry’ but they will put the parcels on express, and return $20. However, they then wanted me to remove my complaint to Paypal- I said I will when I got the parcels. Still waiting.

  14. I got scammed by this and got taken for almost $60.00. I was one of the lucky ones though, I got my money back thanks to PayPal. They even scammed me while I was trying to get my money back, they offered me up to 75% back but they would bs me over and over. I refused to give up and worked with PayPal to get my money back. I hate that I fell for this but happy I was able to get my money back. Do Not fall for these scams, if it’s to good to be true it is.

      1. I have received earphones and selfie stick in a little envelope instead of two palettes of backlog products. I contacted first the supplier diliuservice … and got answer!!! They offered me discount with next order, which I did not accept. But I got at least something after many e mails later. I offered to keep those two products and wanted to refund half of what I paid which was 40 USD out of 82 USD. In the last mail I said, that if they will not refund those 40 dollars, that I will ask PayPal to retrieve whole 82 dol. It took another 10 days and Pay Pal informed me,that those 40 doll. are in my account. I am still angry, that I allowed someone to scam me and get away with at least 25% .There should be heavy punishment for scammers. Good luck Harika

  15. Totally ridiculous! Imagine the amount of money they are able to take from these people who only want to start a business. Hence, it is really necessary for someone to be careful and know how the scam works by reading such detailed article like this.
