Facebook Black, as the page is called, claims to give the users the ability to change their background color from blue to any color they choose. "Are you sick of your blue background timeline? Change your Facebook color theme now", offers the new scam.

Scammers even suggest a change to Facebook Pink in order to make more female victims - see below.

Once the users click on the link they make themselves vulnerable. The scammers responsible for the bogus page now have the ability to steal the user's personal identifying information, by leading the users to fake survey pages. Not to mention their Facebook passwords and login credentials will be at risk.

Be aware and spread the word. Facebook is not going to offer any options on their background color anytime soon. Any page that suggests the changing opportunity is a phony page. Do not click on the link or give scammers access to your personal information.
