Flash Rewards Scam: Fake Gift Cards

The Flash Rewards scam works now – and it always will – because people love freebies. In exchange for some personal info that you put into the new Flash Rewards app, you may think you're getting a gift card. It's the oldest trick in the book. Is Flash Rewards legit? We would stay away from it. Let's take a look.

Here is a screenshot of the promising reward:

flash rewards app

The Flash Rewards app offers gift cards from the grocery sector to the fashion and electronics niches. Like the other previous gift certificate traps, this one asks you for all your details: name, email, phone number, etc. However, first, you have to fill out a bogus survey with irrelevant and straightforward questions such as ” Do you like to shop?” or “Do the Easter Island heads have bodies?”

Once you finish the questionnaire, you are asked to go through a couple of extra steps, whether to download a free app or a product that might cost you money. “In order to qualify for the offer, you must complete the last two steps.”

Little do you know that the Flash Rewards app gets a commission for every download/purchase they generate, while you don't receive a $150 gift card.

Flash Rewards App Concept

Here is a quick video with how the Flash Rewards scam works:

You can't get $150 for free! The more personal information you give, the worse it is. People wonder how scammers or telemarketers get their phone numbers, emails, and addresses.

The gift card scam has been going on forever. With the advancement of technology, these traps look more realistic than ever, so we expect that people will never learn the lesson: whatever it's too good to be true, it probably is. The Flash Rewards app is a cool concept itself, but not at the price you have to pay.

It's essential to learn how the scam works in general and not the name of the perpetrator. Once these guys are exposed, they change the name of the app/website and start over. Surveys are usually a red flag. It doesn't necessarily mean they are always scammy, but when the reward is a $100 or a $150 gift card, stay away.

It’s real I’ve already earned my reward and yes it was deposited into my account

  2. Not sure. I signed up, gave personal information, and immediately thereafter, unsubscribed. I was worried it was a scam or worse.

  3. I was promised $500 cash app reward and within a couple of weeks I earned it just by doing what it says and I got my $500 but they didn’t have the cash app but was able to get deposited into my bank account and it was fast earning it so how can they say scam if I actually got what I was promised

  4. Its not a scam, I already shop at shein so doing some free trials and downloading some games is worth it, and when I had problems getting my completed deals to show up I emailed their customer service line with screenshots to prove I completed my required deals and they sent my reward with a couple weeks

  5. I came here because I saw a flash reward ad for $750.00 in PayPal money and wanted to know if it’s legit only to find the ad plastered all over your posting, lol.

    1. I’ve done it personally, and I was suspicious all along .. But I ended up receiving the money. And I’ve been able to stay in touch with their customer service throughout the process. I know it looks scammy and everybody I ever tell about Flash Rewards thinks “scam” but .. from my personal experience, I can’t tell I’ve been scammed at all.
I did my research, I found the CEO on LinkedIn, like I said, kept in touch with their customer service while I was progressing towards the reward. And at the end I got my 750$.

  6. I did the flash rewards and subscribed to 10 different offers. Upon my completed I dis get rewarded $1000 directly to my bank account. And I also had to upload my ID to verify that I am a real person.

      1. Spam no, i’m a real person. U have to make sure you unsubscribe from all the offers before the trials end. All bs aside it’s legit. Money str8 to my bank account. It took like 2 weeks but, that’s $1000 cash to subscribe to junk. Just use a dump email address

        1. A lot of people have no patience. Also what you put triples when you receive the reward. I’m on board with you!!!??

        2. I call B.S. There’s no such thing as free money. And when you sign up, you’re giving away invaluable personal information.
          .

        3. Same here. I was VERY suspicious all along .. But I ended up receiving the money I was so surprised. When telling my friends and family they were also very suspicious … But, what can I say! It worked for me.
