E-mail Address Removal

How the scam works:

If you receive an e-mail with a message similar to the one below, claiming to be from your e-mail address provider, ignore it and delete it right away:

“Due to congestion in all Hotmail (or Yahoo, or Gmail) users, we will be shutting down all unused accounts. You will have to confirm your e-mail address by logging in after clicking the reply button. Otherwise, your account will be suspended within 24 hours”.

The scammers just want access to your e-mail address, looking for personal information and for all the names in your address book, in order to sell the list to spammers.

How to avoid:

As mentioned above, ignore this message and delete it right away.
