Did you just receive a Hulu refund email? Or a subscriber-related one? Beware of the newest scam. The recent popularity this video-platform company has achieved has also attracted criminals who want to take advantage of it. Let’s take a look.

The Hulu subscriber refund email contains the network's logo, graphics, and even layout to offer subscribers a new outstanding deal. The message could have a sender’s name such as “Hulu Club” with the subject title: “Your Hulu Refund Is Here”. Then, an account login page is provided, just as seen in the main image of this article.

The page looks absolutely identical to the real page, but it's just another one of the recent email scams. Logging in, you do nothing but giving scammers the credentials for accessing your account, where you have stored your credit card information.

In a different variation of the Hulu email, the content of the messages requires you to “please update your payment method. We are having problems authorizing your card”.

3. Hulu Email Address Change

Be also careful about a fake Hulu email confirming you successfully changed your address. The text reads: “Your new email address is good to go. As requested, your email has been updated to [new address]. Sign in with your email from now on.”

If you DID NOT make this change, please contact us via phone. We can be reached at 877.HULU.411 and phone support is available 24/7.”

4. Fake Special Rate For Hulu Subscribers

In a different case, the text of the email reads: “We allow the first 10,000 subscribers to receive a special rate and lock in their current pricing for the next five years. Click here for this offer“.

As expected, clicking the link will get you to fill in a form with all your banking details and personal info. Sometimes, the link contains malware or other viruses.

5. Unable To Bill Your Subscription

Besides the Hulu Refund Scam, here is one more. The potential victim receives an email with the Subject title: “Unable to Bill Your Subscription”. The content of the message states: “We're unable to bill your subscription with the current payment method. To ensure the service will not be interrupted, you'll need to update your card information. You can do this by clicking: Sign In to my account here [compromised link], then you will be prompted to update your card information.”

Needless to say, you won't be paying the real Hulu, but the scammers impersonating the company.

If not sure, go to the real Hulu's official website and check your account. Don't click the link provided in the email. For example, you might see that the scammers' email comes from a domain name spelled HuluTV.com, but the letter “l” is the capital letter of “i”.
