Rose For Your Girlfriend Scam

How the scam works:

This scam is prevalent in most of the European capitals. Scammers target couples and go straight to the girl, putting a rose in her hand. “Hold it, Hold it”, the scammers might say with a friendly smile.
As soon as the girl grabs the rose, the scammer turns to the man and asks for 5 or 10 EURO (or another crazy price). To avoid the embarassment, most guys pay right away…

How to avoid:

Sure, if you don't mind, give him 10 EURO, but learn that it might happen to you more than once in a day. What would you do the second or third time? Just tell the guy that you buy flowers for your girl when you want, not when he wants.
