Rose For Girlfriend Scam

How the scam works:

This scam is prevalent in most of the European capitals. Scammers target couples and go straight to the girl, putting a rose in her hand. "Hold it, Hold it", the scammers might say with a friendly smile.

How to avoid:

Normally, in Rome, one rose costs not more than a couple of Euros. So, if you’re visiting Rome and plan to go out with your girlfriend, it might be helpful to buy a rose as soon as the evening starts (flower stands are opened 24 hrs a day in Rome): your girlfriend would be happy and nobody is gonna try to sell you another one 🙂
