The company failed to communicate effectively; after the delivery deadline elapsed, I had to initiate multiple follow-ups. It was only then I was informed that the original frame I ordered had a defect and was unavailable, a fact that was only disclosed after the promised delivery period had ended. Choosing a replacement frame did not alleviate the issues. The process was delayed again as the company requested further details to start manufacturing, indicating that my order hadn't even been processed yet. This lack of professionalism and poor communication from SmartBuyGlasses has not only been a major inconvenience but also impacted my plans significantly, as the glasses were intended as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. I ordered an authentic pair of Tom Ford reading glasses with blue glare protection. Not only were my frames on sale but it was really easy to get my prescription done with them. I simply uploaded my prescription and every other tid bit requested was done online. My favorite feature was the virtual styler. Everyone knows trying on frames is really important before making the purchase. If you upload your picture you can do a virtual fit for all the frames they sell on their website. It's really cool. I definitely plan to do more shopping on this website in the future. Tip for consumers:Shipping was faster than they said on their website so it was a nice surprise although it was still a bit long compared to going brick and mortar. Absolutely reprehensible way of dealing with the customer. Continuous delay in processing the order, permanent deception of the customer. Repeatedly sent e-mails inquiring about the status are answered each time by a different person. I have the impression that there is an incredible chaos there. They invited me to review, didn't like what I wrote, and had my review removed from Trustpilot - were not eager to resolve problems until they saw the review. Then hassled me, and finally got what they wanted as Trustpilot ditched my invited review. A legitimate company doesn't need to expend so much effort negating an honest review. Quality less than rivals - I've tried a few - and prescription not correctly created (or they didn't have proper knowledge of prisms and failed to ask questions). “Quick answers when I had some doubts and exclusively eyewears”

When I was choosing a new eyeglasses, I tried to find something on the internet, and the SmartBuyGlasses had the exact model that I wanted. Also, I sent so many e-mails for support in my purchase (how to make it properly to have a correct international purchase for myself), and they were very quick to answer me. The only issue was the long period to use my product (regarding to the shipment out o my country, and also in my country - 3 months waiting...). I think if you buy it in your country or somewhere nearby your country, it will took less time certainly. Products used:Eyeglasses

“Horrible return process, most likely fake glasses”

Ordered a replacement pair of Smith sunglasses for a pair that I had scratch Ed from an other retailer. Product that came was of inferior quality and the lenses started to peel within one week. Mind you I had the same pair purchased from Backcountry.com for two years with no issues from normal wear. Return process has been a nightmare, multiple people email you leaving you in a run around. Long story short they won't give you a shipping label for a faulty product. Fine. But when you finally return the product, they will try to put through an exchange. Not worth the money saved. Don't give businesses like this your time. Tip for consumers:Not worth your time. Stay away. The time it has taken to get my money back is not worth what I would have saved. “Terrible Company”

Ordered my glasses over a month ago. They're made in China, not to my knowledge. The glasses were shipped in 7 days, but never made it to me. Somewhere in Hong Kong. After many emails, excuses, apologies, I finally asked for a refund. Very dissatisfied and will never order from them again.

Ordered some prescription sun glasses with thin and light lenses: Pros: Easy to order, quick delivery, good quality lenses and a very competitive price. Cons: The thin and lights were not "thin and light" in my perspective, they were much thicker than I had expected. I had a bit of ping pong between customer services and had to escalate to a manager to finally resolve the issue however in the end they were very responsive and managed to resolve my complaint. Overall I think this sight is Fab for lower prescriptions and very competitive and easy to order, but If you have a higher prescription I would advise you to phone them before ordering so you can make sure you get the right lens for your frame. Their logistic team was never able to tell where the product was, or give a reasonable ETA. I kept receiving preposterous emails from CS providing completely unprofessional answers, with clearly the sole intention to buy some time. They use an obviously dilatory strategy of switching people from the CS who's dealing with your case in order to confuse you. Frankly, I felt this website could actually be a scam. It's been 35 days since I've placed my order on Smartbuyglasses.co.nz and amount removed from my VISA debit card, so far I've received 4 emails one after each week for 4 consecutive weeks starting with "I'm regret to inform you a further delay…. Blah blah blah", and this week they are totally ignoring my email. Yes they offer a refund shall I request it, but what about the 1 month waiting for their non-existing glasses from their non-existing supplier? Still waiting, worst website you can possibly find.

Competitors pay the return costs by exchange of goods. SmartBuyGlasses is not good enough! This cost I had to pay myself and I`ve waited six weeks to get new glasses. (Still not received). My next purchase will be at supplier with free Exchange Policy.

I'm sorry I haven´t read this before I bought my glasses through this website. It is the same history as many off you, my order was supposed to be flagged up for suspicious transaction and I did what they told, finally I've had my transaction going and now it's been one month since I have no answer from them, they just say that the distributor is sending my order at the end of each week, but sadly, nothing happens. I thing I cannot do anything more than just complain about it and write this review hoping anyone else will be caught in this trap.

I'm not sure this is a legitimate company: ordered sunglasses over a month ago, followed up 6 or 7 times to find out where they are and had only 2 responses to all my emails. Those responses come from the same email address, have almost identical body copy but are signed off with different names. Never had any confirmation as to when my order will be delivered, and nothing in the emails is personalised. Recently sent another 4 emails but not had a response, and the tracking number doesn't work. DON'T USE THEM.

Again Disappointed I ordered oakley ox 5118 along with lens on 27-07-2017. Status showing that rx lens are processing. Now again they are saying the frame received was shiny grey instead of polished black. And it takes 5-14 days for shipping? How many days one can wait because of your mistakes? How can one be so careless regarding customer order? Is the right way to treat the customers. Hugely Disappointed with smart buy glasses.
