lifewireless.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives lifewireless.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 72.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 72.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to lifewireless.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning lifewireless.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between lifewireless.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of lifewireless.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of lifewireless.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. lifewireless.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether lifewireless.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether lifewireless.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, lifewireless.com.

I was recommended by many that Life Wireless was the best Lifeline phone plan... what a mistake. The application was no problem, the SIM shipped in 2 days, then I called their porting department so I could bring my own number. I gave them all the required information, confirmed it to all be correct, then got a message the next day stating that the porting had completed. Strange... as my number was still working with my current carrier (Xfinity Mobile) and had no service with their SIM. Gave it a couple of days before I called in and was told they would need to submit a split service request since my number was somehow with both Xfinity Mobile and Life Wireless. I didn't think that could possibly be a thing, especially since it only worked with Xfinity Mobile, but whatever... waited another week with no progress.I call in a third time and they tell me the porting PIN was incorrect. I generated a new PIN and triple checked that I gave them the correct one. Nothing for an entire week before I got yet another email stating that the porting PIN I provided was wrong yet again. I proceeded to repeat this same process 5 times over the course of 2 months, each time insisting they must be having problems on their end. I called Xfinity Mobile and they confirmed that they had only ever received the very first port request, and approved the number for release, but never got a follow up from Life Wireless to accept the number. After calling Life Wireless back with this information, they cancelled the SIM card and told me I would need to reapply at Life Wireless... It wouldn't let me, because the email was already in their system, so I tried with a new email. Got to the end of the process when it said they already had an application with my information (I told them this would happen, what a shocker 🤦‍♂️). Ended up having to call another department for them to say they didn't know what to do and have never seen this happen. They told me I would need to wait 45-60 days for the account to be closed before I could apply again.Yeah, I'm not doing that. I just applied at TruConnect and we'll see what happens.
Dude, this is the worst company to give out phones. Literally had this for a year and it has been the worst phone devices they have to offer. It doesn't give me notification, even when turning it on it still doesn't give my messages, does not hold up any apps such as social media, games, or even camera. In fact, I get kicked out right when I use the apps. My camera lost the switch icon and doesn't work on all camera in the first week. For anyone who is giving this company a shot. Don't. Your phones are gonna be bad.
Lousy customer service and lousy coverage, AND, to add insult to injury, I have to buy minutes for my cell, even though I qualified for ACP. I have switched to a new company, but am currently battling Life Wireless to transfer my old number!
switching from QLink b/c we just got the iphone 14 which needs eSim network capability (has no sim card slot). We were with QLink for 6 years but had to move on (doesn't offer eSim). So far so good
I tried to switch to life wireless and port my number. And they tried and then when the port failed, they told me that because my current network is not AT&T they are unable port my number. If I want to switch to their service I will have to change my number. I have never heard of any cell provider who cannot port numbers, and what the network of the former provider has to do with it I cannot imagine. They said "we have tried to solve and we can't." But obviously something in their system is broken and their "fixes" consisted of trying to work with the existing hardware and OS rather than uprading to something that can peform standard tasks evey other cell company does.
Well, I have luckily had a much more positive experience than I was anticipating. I formerly had Assurance Wireless which was so awful I could barely make a call much less access email or search online for anything. The phone was one big glitch. Service was TERRIBLE. i lost it and my service lapsed for non use. I saw a life wireless tent by my local grocer and thought to give it a try. In less than 10 min I got a phone and service and it has been excellent. I could not believe it. It's no iphone but it's navigable and service is perfect. Comes with case and charger and headphones. If you need a device this is the company I would try to locate. I don't know about applying online and receiving it via mail, maybe try to find an onsite location.
Lifewireless has helped me keep an active phone for over 5 years. Has a fairly wide coverage area in the state and even covers other states. It's good for contacting my family and even allows internet data I can use to tether my laptop or other devices for online use! This is a great service we can all use! Thank you so much! :D
I would a zero if I could, this is the absolute worst company to deal with. The reps are rude, they lie, and if I can find out if they were the ones who tried to transfer my service I'm suing!!! Very strange that on my refill date that morning at 7:01 am I received a message from them telling me how sorry they are to see me go and if I didn't transfer my services to contact them ASAP so it can be resolved, well guess what NOT RESOLVED! The reps won't even transfer you to a supervisor. I've had them place me back into the jain menu system and even hang up on me. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY !!;!
Gentleman fixed the problem and made my day. He was wonderful sorry I don't have his name. Very Satisfied
Have had their service for over 2 weeks now and still am waiting for the caller ID name to show my name and not the previous owner of the phone number. Have contacted Lifewireless many times on this problem and all I get is Unfortunately, the caller ID cannot be updated manually. However, there are afew steps that can be taken to help the database update the caller ID.Firstly, you can ensure that your phone number is removed from any previouscaller IDs you have called.'This is BS all other lifeline providers I have been with, the caller ID name is updated the same day. This company should be removed from the lifeline service and fined for there lying BS. Over 2 weeks later tried a call and still shows the same name ( Not mine). Update: 5/21/2024 Had called lifewireless again about caller ID and this time was told I had to get it updated myself with the carrier. They said they do not update this and if I wanted it done i would have to do it myself. So I canceled my account with them and will never go back. This company is awful......
Lifewireless for falsely representing their data plans online. Lifewireless advertises that they offer California residents 150 GB of data through the Lifeline program, claiming that this is a superior option compared to other providers, which only offer 4-10 GB of data. However, in reality, Lifewireless only provides 10 GB of data. This discrepancy constitutes false advertising, as they mislead consumers by claiming to offer a significantly larger data allowance and presenting themselves as a better choice than their competitors. Before switching to Lifewireless, I was with a provider that offered unlimited data, allowing me to use up to 2 TB (terabytes) of data per month. I believed that 150 GB would suffice for my needs based on Lifewireless's claims. Lastly, had I known the true limit was only 10 GB, I would never have considered switching. This misleading information has caused significant inconvenience and frustration, and I urge appropriate action to be taken against Lifewireless for their deceptive practices.
long story but i had to switch from assurance and found life wireless. i applied online and received my phone in 2 days. amazing right? wrong!!! i had an email telling me to click to activate or call the 800 nunber. i am older and thought it would be easier to call and speak to a human being but when i did i was on hold 69 minutes with hin coming back occasionally telling me they were activating it and i asked how long this will take and he actually asked me what else i had to do that day!!!!!, eventually he told me it would be 72 hours and to call back then. i went to the email i had received and clicked on the lnk and was activated in 60 seconds. i guess the service is ok this just happened last week but i would suggest not speaking to a representative or they will insult you and treat you like a piece of garbage and i will go back to assurance in 60 days
Lifewireless is a bad service in every way! If you leave the state you lose service, if you are up for a free upgrade b/c of the 3G nightmare they will not honor it even after asking. The reps are disgustingly rude...and, I am so sick of being forced to talk to people who can't speak English. Lastly, if you ask for a supervisor they tell you there is no supervisor."
These companies want our business but they give their customer service jobs to foreign representatives and the language barrier is very disturbing and rather incompetent. It's probably best to stick with Assurance Wireless or SafeLink, at least they treat their customers a little better. The key to good business is customer service, when you treat the customers good, you will always have a strong customer base. This company is losing customers with every bad review.
This seems to be one of the better gov't phone companies they are very polite and helpful
The phone is the most accurate I've seen so far, clear voice, and fast messages, not easily shattered.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+⭐Great job💯
I never got product and they refuse to give me a refund, I still have my receipt where I paid them , please do not get service with these people they are scammers.
When I signed up, they advertised Free, unlimited talk, text, and data. The data was limited to 15 gig then reduced speed. It states that they will not turn off the data, just reduce speed. After 9 months, they turn my service off because I reached my limit of 4 gigs. I can’t find anywhere that they offer 4 gigs of data. I use the same amount each month and haven’t been turned off in the past. Now all of a sudden I don’t have unlimited data or even the 15 gigs promised in the ad. Customer service is rude and you can’t understand anything they say. I guess they hire people like that so they don’t have to deal with complaints. If you can’t understand them, then I guess they figure there’s no problem. This is false advertising. This service may be free to us, but the gov is still paying them for a service they are not providing.
Terrible in every way. Although grateful for the free service, the phones are garbage and there is NO customer service! On hold now for almost an hour...Better to use Textnow.com for free!
They don't offer free phone service in IL currentlyWhen I had their service seems always had to reset texts after 1000 texts.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
