guns.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives guns.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 64.4. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.4 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to guns.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning guns.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between guns.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of guns.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of guns.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. guns.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether guns.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether guns.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, guns.com.

“Thieves and liars”
They are thieves and liars. I ordered a rifle for my son for xmas and they have busted the shipping date...almost a week and hasn't shipped out...come to find out they are basically a drop ship company for most of their firearms. Called to cancel they won't cancel. They only seem to have one customer service manager...at least that's what the one I keep talking to says. Won't transfer me higher. I asked if my issue is with you and you continually lying to me what do I do sit on it and take it like a $#*! to which he said Yes that's correct. I have now lodged 2 BBB complaints on them. STAY AWY FROM THIS COMPANY Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Buyer Beware. Don't Buy From this site”
Buyer Beware. Don't But from Guns.com. I ordered New expensive Beretta that was shipped out without the chokes and choke tool. I informed them and they insist the company that sent it out is reliable and they trust them. They never once verified all was with gun before it was sent out and will not do anything about it. So now I have to purchase a 325 dollar choke set that was supposed to be included in my brand new gun case. Horrible customer service and so Much for there Promise they claim to make all right with the transactions. I wouldn't ever trust them again and I make lots of purchases. So please look elsewhere for your guns. Don't trust this company. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Don't bother with them”
I ordered a firearm from them yesterday, which they were already charging 50 dollars over retail for. I get an email the next day saying they canceled my order without explanation. So I called and come to find out they canceled my order and relisted the gun for 400 more dollars (450 over retail). Service Value
“Broke gun no refund”
Basically told me that I could not return a gun, or get it swapped after owning the gun for 4 days including the weekend. I shot the gun 200 times trying different ammo etc. never got more then 5 rounds wo a jam. Told me to get bent when i explained what was happening.
“Terrible customer service and flawed products”
I ordered a new Springfield XDM Elite from Guns.com, but the gun I received was clearly used and damaged. The finish had a huge scrape mark on the barrel and looked really bad. I contacted their customer service multiple times but they refused to do anything and wouldn't allow me to return it. They completely ignore their published returns policy. What a scam and unethical company! Avoid this company. Service Value Shipping Returns
“My 4th and last purchase from guns.com”
Purchased a 20ga shotgun in "very good" condition, received a 12ga shotgun in good condition with 2 missing parts. I'll keep the gun, as I gave it some TLC, and enjoy working on guns, but it'll be my last purchase from them. Forget about selling to them, they'll lowball you like a pawn shop. Shipping Quality
“You had better like what arrives!”
You had better like what you bought! Good stock and quick delivery - 5 STAR BUT, if you have an issue EVEN if you have not taken possession- the FFL still has it - they will demand $30 shipping AND a 15% restocking fee. No wiggle room, NO customer support! My case. I bought a Browning X-Bolt and a Springfield 2020.22 Classic in AAA walnut. The Browning is great. The wood on the Springfield 2020 would barely make AA and the FFL gun shop agreed. I called to return it and have it replaced before taking possession. After a 55min wait on hold I was told to take it up w Springfield or return it w shipping fee AND a restocking fee! Bad business model and VERY POOR service in my opinion. I WILL NOT use Guns.com again if they are the only dealer to have what I want. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Missing Sight - Bad Quality Control”
Purchased a "New" Ruger.357 which clearly states on both Guns.com and Ruger.com as having a lo-mount rear sight. Arrived at FFL dealer to find that sight is not installed, yet the notch is cut into the revolver. First thing I do is call Guns.com to explain the situation. I am told, as the firearm is new, I need to deal with the manufacturer as there are no refunds or returns on new guns. Here are my concerns: 1) Ruger manufactured a firearm and failed to complete the assembly at 100%, yet allowed this to be shipped and sold to a firearms dealer. This speaks to Ruger's quality control in not Only the manufacture but also the final inspection and both fail in my book. 2) Guns.com took this firearm into inventory with obvious missing items and did not contact Ruger regarding it. Then sold this item to a consumer as a new item. This also speaks to their quality control. 3) The firearm was shipped from TX to Guns.com HQ in MN for transfer to my FFL dealer in NM. Again I was told the firearm would be inspected in MN before being shipped to NM and again during inspection the obvious omission of a part was ignored. Both of these companies have failed in delivering a product advertised as new. It goes without saying, if I was in any gun store in the US and saw this revolver in a display case for sale while missing a sight that it is supposed to have, I would not make this purchase. It should not be on the consumer to receive a product which has supposedly gone through quality control and have to deal with a manufacturer with such a glaring flaw. “Un-Ethical Company - Do not ever buy from them”
Bought a gun online on sale, a few days later was sent a confirmation email n then a another email saying the gun shipped to my FFL along with a FedEx tracking # A day prior to delivery, I get an email saying Guns.com had cancelled my order as they made an online error BS, basically did not want to sell the gun to be at the low advertised price... Still have not received my money back so will need to file a dispute with my bank... DONT EVER ORDER FROM THEM Tip for consumers:DONT USE THEM Products used:None Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Do not buy or sell here”
Not serious people more like a gun scam.com Bought one a month ago to this day I have could not pick up because the pawn store said they don't have it Total scam this places You have been warned Tip for consumers:don't buy or sell here Products used:bought a revolver Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Worse company that I have ever done business with - written policies worthless!”
I purchased a used uncertified Savage Arms MSR 10 - I could see a little muzzle corrosion in picture online. When the gun arrived, I went to the FFL Dealer Fred's Outdoors to pick the gun up. There I noticed rusted bolts and was told by the FFL Dealers staff that no magazine came in the box with the gun. As we continued the inspection we pulled back the side charging handle assembly and noticed that the hook portion was broken off. I immediately called guns.com and spoke with Gina - I was asked to email pictures, which I did. I refused to take transfer of the gun because of the broken peice (mechanical defect) and requested a full refund. Guns.com position is even though the gun clearly has a broken peice as long as it shoots they are fine with that. Savage Arms the manufacturer designed that hook there for a reason. Guns.com wants to charge me for original shipping, $30.00 return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. I filed an complaint with the BBB and was told all I had to do was to apply a little gum cleaner to dissolve the rust - the gun should have never been sent out in that condition especially having a mechanical defect. “Package never delivered.”
$180 for magazines I never recieved. Won't honor package protection insurance. It is not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere Tip for consumers:Don’t trust there shipping Products used:Never recieved Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
