coolstuffinc.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives coolstuffinc.com a medium trust score on the platform: 58.1. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk..

We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 58.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to coolstuffinc.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above.

Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning coolstuffinc.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between coolstuffinc.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of coolstuffinc.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of coolstuffinc.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below.

A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

coolstuffinc.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether coolstuffinc.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether coolstuffinc.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, coolstuffinc.com.

Customer for 15 years, will no longer be using this site

I love TCGs, board games, and that entire space. I rarely review anything negatively and usually just take the hits as they come, but my latest experience with this company has completely soured my experience and prompted this review. Over the course of 15 years I've spent almost $30k on CSI. $30,000. This place was my go-to for almost everything. I've bought tons of board games from this site even when cheaper options were available in order to support them. I've bought singles I could have bought from Ebay or TCGPlayer for lower prices. I've also recommended this place to as many people in my board gaming and card gaming community. If I order an item or items and that order is cancelled by the company, I fully understand and accept that the company has every right to do so for whatever reason they deem valid. What I do not expect is that I am not notified of this change in any email or notification. I do not expect that I only receive a refund for this order after I have reached out to support about the missing order. I also do not expect to be told by support that it should not come as a surprise to me that this happened. What kind of business cancels an order worth over $1000+ and does not convey this information to the buyer, or issue the refund at the time of cancellation, or give any indication that a refund is coming at the time of cancellation for over a month after the order has been placed because, and I quote exactly from a support email: "other customer issues have higher priority" and expect them to not be surprised when that customer finds out on their own that this has happened? I can no longer in good faith recommend this company to anyone and I will no longer be using this site or company for anything. Tip for consumers:Don't use it Products used:Board games, cards, card supplies Service Value Shipping

Great place to buy cards

I have bought cards and sealed product multiple times. Only ever had one slip up on a card being shipped had a timely refund to problems here would give a ten if I could Tip for consumers:Call them great people Products used:All Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Do NOT do business here

I purchased a card from this company for $30. It arrived and was put in a sleeve and binder. Later I purchased a card from another vendor that had been fake. Deciding to test the cards of high monetary value under a black light, I checked to find the inking was much darker and lacking the phosphorescent quality used by WotC. I sent out an email asking me to send it back via standard shipping. Upon doing so, I also inquired why all my packages have been doubled or tripled up in the same envelope. My friend had the same issue with this. Once this happened, they investigated to find they had taken $10 worth of shipping this way, but could only authorize to put it on store credit in the form of a gift certificate, which I reluctantly accepted. 2 days later, I received an email about the card. I want to say, I mailed this in one of the priority mail USPS Priority mail stiff envelopes, in a penny sleeve with a top loader inside of a standard envelope. They told me the card was creased and I was not allowed a refund, conveniently after pricing has changed on this quite a bit. I was then told the rep, Chris, would go ask and examine the envelope and card for damage and photographs. He came back telling me it was in just an envelope, to which I called him out on, then he said the toploaders still allow cards to be damaged. I told him, if it's creased inside a toploader the envelope you saw should have been damaged too. I then pointed out how suspicious it was that I recently caught them skimming on shipping, had been sold a questionable card, returned it damaged for inspection, and that I was to now believe it was damaged in hard plastic with no visible damage to the envelope? When I asked about the card itself, he said he didn't personally see the damage, then stated the woman who handles returns took a day off, as well as that he could not find the card and "Maybe she's already mailed it back to you, I don't know." I told him this gets even better now as my possibly fake card that I purchased from them is now damaged and missing, he can't show the damage when questioned, and if it is found, I'm going to take the hit for this, despite it not being used upon me receiving it. He stated he was the only person and it wasn't a call center and that I had the wrong impression. I argued that it's irrelevant and I was told if I have nothing else to say, he'll talk to her but he needs to go because he has other customers to talk to. Do NOT buy from these people. Stealing shipping, reports of false "damage", counterfeit issues, missing products, I don't think there's much more to say to their credibility than that. Reported to BBB.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.

Are You the Owner of coolstuffinc.com?

If you own coolstuffinc.com, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.

When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.).

We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.
