They've become my go to for anime figures. Customer support answered quickly and was friendly when I needed help on a return. I've ordered 3 times in a few weeks and can assure you their products are authentic. They have some hard to find figures too.
I've been ordering from them for a few years. Everything has been good up until the past 8 months where their packing methods have been terrible. I received a box yesterday with items from their Pile of Loot feature. When I opened the box, it looked like all the items had been thrown in with minimal padding. I reported the damage, and the customer service rep said: "We apologize that they were damaged in transit. When it comes to Pile of Loot orders, shipping select items that have similar packaging and weight is usually the best way to ensure that a heavier item is not put in with it or that shifting doesn't take place while in transit, because of different sizes and weight. We always allow our customers full control of what is shipped together. When larger items (such as the 3-pound Origins Collector Vehicle) are shipped with other smaller items, our warehouse team will place those on the bottom, but that does not ensure that the box will not get flipped over and items won't move around during transit. Unfortunately, gravity is not our friend in that situation. Please be aware of all this when you create the Pile of Loot shipments in the future"So, in essence, internal box item damage is the customer's fault due to the size and quantity of items ordered. A couple of dollars worth of packing peanuts could have prevented the damage. These days, it's typical for a company to blame the customer instead of owning up to its poor packaging methods. I've ordered single items from them, and the backing cards were bent because the box they sent it in was too small, and they crammed it in there. Order at your own risk.

Great place to buy from, anime figures are a little pricey there but prize figures like banpresto are priced normally. There is a deposit required for preorders over a certain amount and its a fair price to ask. Everything is well organized on the site and customer service is extremely friendly/professional. Lastly there preorder arrivals are pretty late for certain things. Overall though I would still recommend them and I truly believe they are one of the best American sites to buy from.

BBTS is an okay store. Never have any problems with buying in stock items. Issues arise when you preorder. The preorders can take forever. I’ve had to cancel some just because I found product elsewhere readily available. It gets annoying when “arriving in December” becomes “arriving in jan…Feb…March…”
The store is not bad, but there are problems: sometimes funko pop come a little crushed, jason's neca from Friday the 13th last time came with two identical masks in the kit (no one looks at what they send before sending). For foreign buyers, the problem is that when they share an order, it is not known what is in which box, there may be problems at customs.

Recently i purchased some Jurassic Items for the 30th Anniversary. I got the John Hammond Funko Pin along with The jada toys Jeep Wrangler. Both of the items are great quality and were shipped securely. I can really reccomend BBTS for Jurassic fans, their catalog is huge and you can make youre dream pile with all the 30th merch they've received lately.
I ordered a richard simmons figure. The first one never arrived. They sent me a replacement. That one also never arrived. I believe that this is a scam site at this point. I'm not sure what they are shipping because I do get a tracking number yet somehow BOTH packages were either not delivered or stolen after delivery, something that I would find highly coincidental. A police report has been filed.
Through Covid, some online toy retailers have gotten really flakey. Big Bad Toy Store continues to be reliable. I don't have any anxiety about pre-orders when using BBTS. I found that shipping costs to Canada were totally reasonable as well.
I had bought a lot of figures(7) this year.I had bought last year too and they always deliver. And deliver fast. Customer support is very quick and helpful. The only downside is the price because they DO NOT include VAT in your price which makes dealing with customs super annoying if you are a international customer. Still great experience.
$200 order lost by DHL and l paid $50 customs fees to be told by some useless customer services bot that l would have to wait until it was returned to them to get a refund. So 250 out of pocket, they did absolutely no digging to find out where it was. Big Bad Customer Service is more accurate. No longer buying from this awful company.
Absolutely the worst site to buy statues from if youre international. They charge approximately 500% more for shipping than other competitors. If you compare sideshow and bigbadtoystore something that sideshow ships for 200$ bigbadtoystore ships it for 880$. Thats absolutely criminal. And the same trend goes for everything they ship, dont be me and preorder something when the shipping is half the price of an already insanely pricey product.
We pre-ordered a life size doll from BBTS 3 years ago as all the UK stores stopped pre-sale. We were a bit nervous after paying the initial deposit as we had read some of the reviews on trust pilot giving negative reviews about pre-orders but we wish we never worried! BBTS are amazing and we would 100% be ordering from them again. Shipping to UK was $200 which is a little expensive but we didn’t get charged any extra cost when the item was delivered to us. The item arrived quickly after full payment and no damage whatsoever. Full tracking was provided as well. The customer service agents were very responsive when we had a question or any concerns. 3 years was worth the wait (not BBTS fault)!
They're a cool concept and the figures that do come in are in expected condition, the problem is the constant and never ending push back on preorders for prize figures. There really isn't a valid excuse as to why I can go buy an item I have had on preorder since august last year in a second hand condition pretty much anywhere else. I ended up cancelling all preorders I could source elsewhere. I also hate that they do not have any kind of option for upfront payment of anykind. It's honestly inconvenient in more ways that one. I don't think I will be doing any more preorders through them and exclusively shop their in stock inventory.

I tried to order my son an item for Christmas 2021 (when he was still a child). I called to see if I would get it in time for Christmas. They could not guarantee so I told them to cancel the order. I order it on Amazon instead. Now, 3 years later, my son is an adult and I now received his toy in the mail. They said it was a preorder. Never have I heard of preordering a toy 3 years early. It was also out before Christmas of 2021. Not a preorder. They want me to pay shipping back and not reimburse me for the shipping to me. What a bunch of crap. This is my first time ordering with bigbadtoystore. I was scared because of the reviews but, this was the only seller that had 25 words or less in stock, so I took a chance. The agents were so helpful with placing my order and verifying my shipment will come in 2 days (I paid for fedex 2 day shipping) once my product arrives on Thursday I'll let you know if the contents are up to par. A lot of people leaving reviews have no idea how figure or statue collecting works. Unless the item explicitly says "In Stock" then you will have to wait at least a month. I have preordered statues ($1.6K) in July but due to manufacturer delays and shipping time to the seller (BBTS) I would not see my product until March. This is very common. You also have to keep in mind that when you preoder you are making a non-refundable down payment to secure your item. THEN you pay the rest once its comes in. I have ordered or should I say attempted to order multiple items from BigBadToy store. Even recently I gave them yet another shot. I ordered a set of Marvel Legends, months after they were supposed to be released, I found them at Game Stop. So, I called their customer service number to check the status of my order and they still couldn't give me a shipping date. So, I just canceled it. Exact same thing happened with single releases of Marvel Legends and GI Joe classified finding things I "Pre ordered" at Target, Walmart or Game Stop months later on one occasion in the clearance isle it had been out so long. Most recently I pre ordered the Veteran William Werewolf action figure when it was announced. Never received it and ended up ordering it from Amazon and getting it in 3 days. “A Great Store I Have Done Business With In The Past”
I have done business with BBTS in the past, from ordering Japanese Transformers reissues to recently, a Pac-Man model kit. And every time, they have proven deliver. Their packaging in my case is good, as they take great care to add stuff like bubble wrapping for more fragile stuff, and even sending me an e-mail to tell me when they are processing orders and shipping. The only thing I can warn about is pre-ordering, as they will not take payment until the item arrive at their warehouse. Also, some products will be restricted to the point of not being allowed to sell to orders outside a certain country, so that is another thing to keep in mind when buying toys that are new releases or pre-orders. 1) Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They have hung up on me twice. They have yelled at me twice. 2) Until they recently started their $4 flat shipping their shipping rates were astronomical. 3) Now their shipping is a great price but it's cheap shipping and unreliable. 4) They have delivered my order to the wrong address. Only once, but once is 1 time too many. 5) Their search engine sucks.
