Hajj Pilgrimage Trip Package

How the scam works:

Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, and a mandatory religious duty for Muslims which must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and can support their family during their absence. Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and occurs from the 8th to 12th of Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. Needless to say, making this Saudi Arabia trip could definitely be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

However, due to the popularity of the Hajj (over 2 million pilgrims in 2014) visitors should beware of unlicensed travel companies that offer travel packages. Every year there are thousands of cases around the world where individuals pay for travel arrangements that are extremely unsatisfactory and many times even non-existent. Using their faith in booking legitimate services, pilgrims are victimized by thousands of dollars or Pounds.

According to the Association of British Travel Agencies, currently “only 10% of victims of Hajj fraud are estimated to report the crime”.
