How the scam works:
(with video below) You are visiting a famous location; let’s say, the Vatican or Eiffel Tower. As you are feeling very humble and overwhelmed, a woman holding a baby approaches you. She apologizes for interrupting and says that she found a gold ring. She shows it to you and says she will give it to you for cheap, just so she can get some money to feed her baby.

That never happened to me with a gold ring but something similar happened to me with a guy and some "leather jackets." He told us he needs gas money because he was on a business trip, he doesn’t have cash and he lost his credit cards. When we declined to help he proceeded to give us some free "leather jackets". He insisted so much that we kept the jackets and we gave him some money. Of course the jackets were junk and we were scammed. We through away the jackets.
