- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning mackeeper.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between mackeeper.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of mackeeper.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of mackeeper.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below.
A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.
mackeeper.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether mackeeper.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below.

Are You the Owner of mackeeper.com?
If you own mackeeper.com, we would love to hear from you. However, if you would like to challenge this review and trust score, we are more than willing to take a deeper look, but be prepared to offer solid proof of your business. Please introduce yourself first (your name, not "Admin"). Consumers are smart. Typically, they don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.
When domain owners contact us to challenge the trust score of their website on our website Validator, we would kindly ask them to share some of the following things:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that they are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, etc.).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If possible, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested, etc.).
We are more than willing to update the review right away—the more proof you show, the higher the trust score will be.
I had what I thought was a virus on my Mac. I had mackeeper.com on my computer so I texted customer support to find out why their program did not find it. Customer service connected to their support department where a person said that he would like permission to connect to my computer to find the problem. I am a computer systems collage grad. I know my mac in great detail. I agreed to let them to connect but I recorded our session and watched every move they made suspecting that their software had actually put the virus on my computer when I installed it I just hadn’t had time to find the application their software had changed. The first thing the connected tech did was ERASE all the Norton files him saying that they would prevent him from checking for the virus. It was at that point I knew they were not legit. The next thing the tech did was open my terminal app and run a following command.
The python files ran from their computer so that I could not back read them. Some of the things that changed are as follows. They used my root account for some of what they did my user name is squirrel2:
There were also a lot of alias added. And the Grammarly app was completely rewritten with thousands of lines of code. One line was set to make any change you made return to there code so you could not get around their lock on your code. They then on the phone suggested that I let one of their other technicians in the virus removal team share my screen because I defiantly had a virus and they wanted my credit card to charge a large amount to get rid of it. Since they had erased Norton so it would not prevent them from changing code. They changed the root password and removed your account from all groups or apps that would give you a way to change code. They also changed the password of root. Then they also captured the finger scanner so if you signed on to anything you would have to use a non-admin regular sign on. Rebooting in any other optional was to rest things would not work because only their hidden sign on could control or be administrator. I finally found there was no way around their “ransom ware” take over and deleted my system then used an older back up that had been checked for viruses and was clean. The app MacKeeper is a virus and you should never install it! Buyer be ware.
