Henna Tattoo Scam: How It Works

You are enjoying the friendly Moroccan markets and decide to get a henna tattoo. Be very careful with that, especially if you are in Djemma El Fna, in Marrakech.

The ladies usually hurry to make the tattoo three times as big as expected and they will demand to be paid for the extra work. The same scam happens also in many other countries in Middle East and South East Asia.

  1. This happens in London as well. I once got a small henna tattoo on the back of my neck. But whilst walking home it started to rain and my new white shirt was a bit ruined as was the henna tattoo.
