We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 81 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to yha.org.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning yha.org.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between yha.org.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of yha.org.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of yha.org.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. yha.org.uk is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether yha.org.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether yha.org.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, yha.org.uk.

I was looking for the last minute accommodation. Checked thousands of goos reviews and booked the room for myself and two young children as there was nothing else available around the area. Well, I am possibly the only person unhappy but I can’t understand how the place below the basic level can cost £150 per night. There is no chair, no table, no bed light. Wall scratches and dents. The bed mattresses are gym mats, the toilet smells. There is no shelf in the bathroom. I read lots of good reviews about the gorgeous veiw. We had a tiny window towards the wall. And when somebody walked outside of the room it was like inside of our room. Yes, it is situated next to the Whitby Abbey , amazing historical place and it was the busiest mid summer period but still it should not cost £150.
The hostel was in a great location, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had all the facilities I needed. The staff were brilliant, welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
I booked a room at yha the sill for August £30 with their 10per cent offer code it reduced it to £27 however six weeks beforehand I needed to cancel.Believing you can get a 90 per cent refund I was told if you use a discount code its NON refundable Non transferable
Having just completed the Pennine Way, I stayed at YHA hostels in Edale, Malham, Hawes, and Alston. In all four places the staff were lovely and the facilities good. No fault to find at all.I would like to have stayed in the hostels at (for example) Crowden, Keld and Dufton, but all of them, and other, have been closed down. This is very sad and I would strongly urge the YHA to reconsider their apparent preference for urban hostels and not give up on the more rural spots. If you can't run a successful hostel in Keld, where the Coast-to-Coast and the Pennine Way cross, where can you? I note that the building is still operating successfully as a hotel, in other hands. Please don't forget your roots YHA, get folk out into the countryside, not cooped up in cities...
YHA Hartington Hall is an old manor house that has enormous character and charm. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. It's not five star accommodation but it is great value for money and has all you need for an active break. I cannot fault it and look forward to returning again. The breakfast was brilliant as well!
I've just returned home from Boggle Hole YHA. It's in a small remote spot on the coast. Quite a few steps up to the Crows Nest accommodation but worth it when in there. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. I'll certainly be looking to return in the future
YHA Hawkshead. Great value for money! It was my first stay and I was nervous about having to share a room and toilet facilities with people I didn't know. The beds were really comfy, very sturdy and didn't squeak the way bunk beds from boarding school did so didn't have to worry whether my climbing up or down was bothering my bunkmate. People kept noise down and were respectful of others. Toilets really spacious and neat. Basic but really neat. Kitchen had everything I needed to prepare, warm and store my own food. Ambience outside was really nice. I hardly take vacations due to accommodation costs but now that I've discovered YHA is a good place, I'lll be travelling more and spending more nights on my trips.
Easy booking, nice communication by email prior staying. Good value for money. In the 2 bunkbeddded room there is no way that any of us adults could claim on the top bunk beds, but the ladders fixed ( non foldable imposing high risk of falling to get in and out toilet and towards the doorway. Staff very very friendly, breakfast very good, but pricey.
Just visited YHA Edale with 150 other walkers from the fire service, they coped brilliantly with the amount of people and the food was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfy and we were well looked after. If I had any tiny comments the shower pressure wasn't great, but it's an old building with lots of people using it, so to be expected. We had an absolute blast, and YHA made it easier.
Wonderful overall experience, the kids didn't want to leave. I would definitely recommend YHA hostel Conwy as being a great place to stay if you love outdoors. All members of the team were really helpful and friendly - great job guys!
The hostel itself was in a great location, near to some attractions that may appeal to travelers. The rooms were cozy and adequate for my needs, including an ensuite, a shower room and an extra sink. The linen on the beds was soft and fresh, making them very pleasant to sleep in.However, I could hear a lot of noise outside the room, making it tricky to get a restful night's sleep. Plus, I felt soap, shampoo and conditioner should have been provided but it was not. There were only three or four bed rooms, making it hard to accommodate solo or partner travelers.Overall, the YHA was okay, but if you're looking for a five-star hostel I would look elsewhere. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, then it will suffice!
Set in beautiful surroundings the YHA hostel in Ilam Hall is really well run, with friendly, helpful staff. The National Trust park in which the hall sits is full of beautiful mature trees and adjoins a local river which makes a lovely walk in either direction
The Youth Hostel at Sill is close to Hadrian's Wall and Sycamore Gap. The location is fantastic, the staff brilliant and food is excellent. It is ideal for walkers. It is a hostel not a hotel. Hostels are more friendly than most hotels and I would strongly recommend the YHA for active people of all ages, such as walkers, cyclists and climbers. I have been using YH hostels for 60 years.
I have just spent one overnight at YHA London Thameside. The building is really interesting, the location easy for central London (frequent buses from over the road plus tube at Canada Water or Bermondsey). I had a bed in the women's dorm, and this was a lovely spacious area with 4 sets of bunks and two bathrooms within the same room. Lots of windows looking out. The members' kitchen was spotless and well equipped and the communal areas interesting. The price is so affordable, it means a visit to London for any cultural or other reason becomes manageable
I stayed at YHA Bridges in early May, to be near the Long Mynd, especially to look at Ediacaran rocks. The site is wonderful, tucked away and with many routes for walking and cycling from the door, as well as the 20 minutes drive over the Mynd to Church Stretton. The hostel is simple and individualistic, built as a tiny school in1860s; the manager has converted the space to suit being a cosy hostel and has built annexes which blend seamlessly with the Victorian architecture: a pleasing blend of convenience and the genuine/original. The facilities are simple and down to earth; I self catered but it can be arranged for the manager to cook for groups. It must be a great place for a group to go and is small enough for solo travellers easily to fall into conversation, as I did. The manager was very helpful and advised me about how best to set about what I wanted to do.
We are pensioners and were great fans … one of our groups had a medical emergency so we cancelled our booking early in the morning but got the “t’s & c’s response which was unhelpful,. As pensioners we can’t really afford to loose the money so just wanted a credit ..,I have since emailed the CEO twice and customer resolutions but cannot get any response!
We stayed one night at YHA The Sill Hadrians wall. It was fantastic and I really don't know how they provide such good accomodation at this price. The staff were all friendly and professional throughout our stay and couldn't do more to help guests. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The rooms were warm and comfortable and I slept really well. The bathroom was well maintained with a good shower. We will definitely be back
Cleaner and more comfortable than the timeshare or any AirBnB I used to visit. Very friendly staff, building and facilities very well maintained. I used to travel staying at YHA when I was younger, and am now really appreciating again the continuity in standard, cleanliness and level of freedom you have with the YHA. It's my preferred way of holiday.
YHA Castleton - fantastic - did the whole trip by train and bus, this YHA is well placed for public transport - though services on the hour so plan ahead recommended. Team were great, with useful local knowledge on walking (plus walk leaflets). Food was standard, very swift and plenty of it despite hostel being full. Liked the atmosphere in the public lounge too.
Stayed a night at the Streatley hostel. A clean, pleasant single room 5 minutes from the Thames for £31! Had marvellous day walking on the Ridgeway - larks, kites, butterflies, views, and a morning walking along the Thames Path - stunning. Great conversations with other travellers, clean, thoughtfully equipped self catering kitchen, well located central hostel, pleasant communal spaces, friendly staff.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
