I must say I'm very disappointed in the Warm Luxe Cashmere candle. If your burning a candle you want it to atleast smell like something. Nothing.
Boy howdy, if I could give zero, I would. I made a purchase of 5 candles on January 5th, 2025 during their $10 3-wick candle sale. I purchased all 5 in my bag. I not only received no confirmation email, no order number, the order does not show under my YC account, BUT THE PAYMENT WENT THROUGH. I've tried contacting them with proof of the Paypal & my bank statement, both confirming the pending transaction. Today (8th), I received a marketing email for- guess what- "You found something special!" as the headline, and inside were candles i had "recently viewed"- IT WAS THE CANDLES I HAD PURCHASED. Why would I receive marketing email for something that I 100% purchased??? I contacted them again, with zero luck of anyone getting back. This is nuts.
I ordered a gift card a couple of weeks before Christmas. Tracking by fedex was not available until one day before Christmas and delivery was scheduled one day after Christmas. That was too late and nonetheless card is useless for me. It was suppose to be a Christmas Present for my daughter in law. T4y to get a refund and return card but they have a no r3turn policy for gift cards. I was robbed. Never will I do business with Yankee Candle. Buyer beware
If I was able to give zero, I would! I placed an order directly wit Yankee Candles, it shipped 10 days after ordering. I called, chatted and emailed numerous times. Finally I spoke with a representative who said a refund would be issued. Well guess what, that charged me and shipped the order when I told them no one would be there to receive, as leaving for holidayJERKS!!

Last week Yankee offered a buy 2 - get 3 free candles sale. AFTER I ordered, Yankee cancelled one of my candles. When I received my order, I only received 4 candles, not 5. I reached out to ask them to send me another candle and got no response. I called and was told that they don't do that. Why not? Yankee should honor their offers. I placed an order because I believed they would honor it. They did not.
I used to love Yankee candles! They were my favorite! I only go around Christmas time and I buy the same two every year. Red apple wreath and balsam & cedar. Now they used to Work really well and send the beautiful smell of Christmas throughout my entire house. I’d always leave one in the kitchen and one in the living room. I noticed last year the scent was not as potent as it used to be, so I figured I must’ve accidentally bought duds from a bad batch. I visited the store recently and purchased those two fragrances again for this year, and the same thing happened. There’s just no scent after maybe an hour? I was told by someone that they now only use the fragrance in the 1st top inch of the candle And that is why the scent runs out. Very frustrating! I’m never getting Yankee candles again.
I purchased 2 candles online and when I got them I thought they were not good quality nor the smell was that of a candle of cheaper scent, I followed their requests to send pictures and information only to keep asking me to do more. I was told to snip the wick and retry it! Are you kidding me. Its tedious and ridiculous! I will not buy anymore as far as I'm concerned, and I used to buy a lot of this brand. I ordered 8 tall pillar jars and they burn so hot, and the flame is so high and smoky, it blackens three inches at the top of the jar. I make sure to trim it every day, but by mid evening, the flame is five inches high again.I’ve purchased many other Yankee candles and this is the only one that does this, so far anyway. It is really bad. Unless they change the pillar jars, I’m not buying them anymore.
I visited Yankee Candle in Chandler Fashion Mall (AZ) on Friday and was warmly greeted by a woman with blonde hair. Wonderful. However, as I was browsing, I noticed in the reflection of the stores glass, a woman with long brown hair was watching my every move. Now, I didn’t end up purchasing anything, but I definitely felt that my presence was not welcome there. Her behavior was disrespectful, and she clearly thought I’d put something in the tiny purse I carry on my body. Her staring was uncomfortable and made me leave even quicker, without allowing me to browse the rest of the store. This was completely unnecessary.
Yankee has been going downhill for years! Four stores in my city have closed, candles aren't what they used to be, now stopping the Boney Bunch Halloween for the first time this year! I have been a YC customer for many years. I recently ordered some pumpkin spice diffuser refills along with a few other scents from their website. After two days, I get an email that the pumpkin spice scent was not available and they cancelled them from my order, refunding the difference and sent the other items. I looked at their website and they were still selling the pumpkin spice refills. I called customer service line and after many holds, transfers, I get an overseas agent at third party call center. The agent confirmed that they are in fact now available so I ordered them again through her. After a day, I get another email that they are not available and they cancelled/refunded the order. Their online inventory management is abysmal at best, buyer beware. I will NOT be shopping at YC again.
This company create great quality candles that always smell and look amazing. My partner and I have so many that our home possibly looks like a Yankee Candle show room! The new Rainbow Cookie smells insanely gorgeous though the confections used on the label are macarons not cookies (they're also a bit of a mess, which distracts away from the packaging a little). Currently we also own the Summer Scoop which is the perfect scent for the warmer months. We've also nerf experienced issues with quality, wicks, lack of smell etc.
Ripped off approx $85.00 they have 3rd party sellers not directly from Yankee, box arrived with 4 candles,1 candle shattered- box too big, other 2 candles shipping separately, 6 candles 3 shipments-must need too run too store. Fudged dollar amounts between order and shipping How sad!! Want to return, no valid in service phone numbers have to wait 90 days...even sadder!!WILL NEVER PURCHASE AGAIN knowing these parasites work for Yankee Candle!!
Candles are very much below standards in regards to fragrance and burn capabilities. Will not use this site again for purchases. No or little fragrance along with wick does and can not keep candle burning. Total waste of time and money.
I cant beleve the bad reviews on here! I’ve bought Yankee candles for a long time ,and their melts. And then I have bought other candles from high-end companies paid good money for them and they turned out to be the stinkiest sense! Recently purchase 2x large personalised jars as gifts.I personally am a lover of Yankee candle anyway and knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. I ordered a fairly expensive plug-in during my last order of about $125. When the package arrived it was missing the $15 plug in. I contacted them and heard back a few days later that I needed to send a picture of the box it arrived in and get the order slip from the delivery driver. Why either of these things is needed in order to even discuss them shipping out the missing plug in, is beyond me. It had been several days and I had already recycled the box and had no idea how to contact the ups driver for a copy of this. I had been a loyal customer for many years, and never again. I’ve never made any claim in previous shipments or returns. Typically a company would ship the item if it was missing from the order, not make me jump through hoops to prove I didn’t receive the item.
My wife ordered an advent calendar for our daughter.When it arrived the box looked a little damaged / used, but inside the box the calendar had all been opened up and the inner packaging was actually ripped open.Phoned for a new one and all they did was offer 30% off. We said forget it - refund please. Shockingly poor customer service. Selling used / damaged items as new is criminally incompetent. Judging by all of the one star reviews they deserve to fail as a business.

“What has happened to Yankee Candle?”
After 30 years of ordering candles, I can honestly say, Yankee has gone down the tubes. Quality of candles is horrible, I have now received two deliveries of broken (shattered) jars, a blueberry candle that burned straight down the middle. Yes they replaced them but I've spent over two hours of my time, on the phone and sending pictures for exchange. I don't order to return. I think I'm done. I'm mad and sad! “Horrible quality and customer service”
Had votive candles "Autumn Wreath" placed them in candle holders on table. The candle did not burn property melted over sides and over candle holder on to tablecloth. “Great Products”
I have been a customer of Yankee Candle for many years and I have fall in love with all their products. Although in the past the only thing I order was candles I have now started ordering other products to make my house smell great. I am addicted to their scent plugs and I have almost every scent they carry because I just love the way they smell and they last at least 45 days for me, which is unusual for this type of item. The only thing that I have found is in the past the candles scent lasted a long time but not so much any more. But they do still smell good it just isn't as strong as I would like. “The worst customer service”
I have never experienced this level of incompetence from such an established manufacturer and retailer or less regard for customer satisfaction. If they can't manage their inventory, they should stay in the brick and mortar space. I placed what was a last minute Christmas present order on Friday Dec 15 (and paid for expedited shipping for receipt in one business day which meant Tuesday), received an email acknowledgment and nothing more until Tuesday morning asking for patience...taking longer than expected blah blah blah. “Snail slow shipping”
Ordered candles for my grandmother's 92nd birthday 6 days ago. I immediately got a hold on my credit card for the amount, and an email saying "we're getting your order together now". Six days later and the order is still in process? That's unacceptable to wait until the last minute to send because I chose the shipping option that said 8-10 days. That should be with leeway for the postal system. But to just not send for six days is pathetic. They're candles! And it's 2023. Customer service is terrible. Newell Brands owns this company, and I wished I had known this beforehand because I've had bad experiences with Newell Brands. The customer service agents are outsourced to Poznań, Poland and Manila, Philippines, so there you go! Customer agents cannot help you. “Their candles aren't the only thing that smell”
I ordered tea light candles from Yankee Candle. I'll start off by telling you it seemed a good deal, a box of 12 tea lights was $12 plus buy one get one free, so I ended up ordering 16 boxes (4 different scents) for a total of $96, with tax and handling $102.72. First problem, there was a charge of $27.36 on May 8th, then they charged me the 102.72 on May 10th. Secondly, for no given reason, I assume out of stock, the order of four boxes was cancelled. I have called to try to get the situation fixed, Yankee Candle blames the bank, the bank has heard nothing. I have sent several e-mails, all have been ignored. If you like pleasant aromas in your home I would suggest just burning some cash rather than purchasing from Yankee Candle. Service Value Shipping Quality
“Soot Damage To Bedroom”
My daughter bout one of the candles. After 20 minutes black smoke began to appear from the wick. It has left soot damage to the walls, ceiling, shelves and windows. When I contacted Yankee they have refused to accept responsibility that the candles have an issue even though there have been numerous complaints for the same issue. Their promotional codes don't work that they advertised. I tried to contact customer service and got a generic response a week later, long after the promotion expired and I had made my purchases. Had the worst experience buying from this brand. They have the worst customer service in the industry and have no concern for the end user. This seems to be a pattern throughout all the brands owned by their parent company Newell Brands. I had an order quadrupled due to a checkout glitch. When notified, they said I had to wait to receive the items and then return 3/4 of the order for a refund. The return was received 3/2 and it is now 4/6 and I have yet to see a refund. It's enough money to matter. I have contacted customer service multiple times and I get promises but nothing happens. “False advertisement and lack of customer service”
Stay away, don't be fooled. Ordered 6 candles on a deal that they had advertised, spend over $75.00 and get free shipping. No fine print. After I went through the order I noticed that I was being charged $15.40 for shipping so tried to cancel the order minutes afterwards. Called and emailed to cancel. Still received order with one less candle and got charged $36.81 from FedEx. Now they can't cancel it since its been delivered and returned so will keep. But after reviewing my Pay Pal account I was charged twice for the same order. After several emails and long awaited phone calls, they say they didn't charge me twice but the proof is on my credit card... STAY AWAY and NEVER ORDER from them...

Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles. “Unsubscribe doesn't work to get you off their email list...”
Emails every day... So annoying! Yes I did unsubscribe. Yes I did go to my account and make sure my preferences were set correctly. I finally had to mark them as spam which I hate to do for legitimate businesses. It took about a week for them to get the product out of their warehouse but once on the road it go here in a reasonable amount of time. So be patient on delivery time. Product is fine.
