**Why does H&M allow returns without attached tags? **I recently purchased a dress from H&M, only to discover once I got home that it had clearly been worn before, with disgusting underarm stains. When I tried to return it, the store owner informed me that I couldn't. This policy is baffling and unacceptable. Who in their right mind would wear a dress out and return it to the store!!! H&M need to change their policy and NOT have items returned without tags, that will solve all the problems. Be aware!!---

The onlineshop often doesn't show the translations, instead the name of the field is shown. This makes the shop nearly unusable.Also the usage of giftcards is very often not working (like yesterday). While checkout, the complete shop an website went offline. Than I quick buying at this shop.
They kindly reserved an item for me that I wanted which was a black velvet dress very reasonably priced at £13.99 and was beautiful and sparkly for Christmas.However, when I got to the till the lady just stood there talking to a friend and made me wait before she served me. The clothes and the prices are amazing, promotions are real and with big discounts. Customer service is great compared to other shops, the loyality program was a very good idea. We ordered a child's sleeping bag, instead got a woman's top. Their procedure is that we have to return the wrong item, get our money back and then can order the right item again.After several contacts with their customer support we were unable to return the item. Horrible experience.I had bought a cargo pants, they quickly ripped open because of obviously weak material used. They tell me to send them back for refund. Extremely bad customer service at local shop at Hvidovre Center.Wanted to return some trousers that didn't fit and had the receipt and the trousers still had their price tag on.Despite this, the customer service claimed that I should have washed the pants and didn't want to take it in return.This is a piece of trousers that were tried on once and then delivered back.I had to argue with the sales representative in almost half an hour before getting them returned.This is just not acceptable at all !
H & M have a extremely poor communication with customers. I was waiting to my parcel that apparently was showing as “delivered” looking for my parcel and couldn’t find it. I ordered a dressing up outfit on 22nd October with a 3 to 5 day delivery. 18 Days later and it still hasn't arrived. Ordered an item 8 days ago, for a holiday. The delivery time frame was 3 - 5 days. It still has not left the warehouse. It's October... not Black Friday... not Christmas. How are they going to cope? If you want to receive an item by a specific date, don't use H & M as you'll be disappointed.
Returning a product is easy. I returned a product the next day I received it . A month later I had to message them in order for them to tell me that by the time they receive the parcel. Another 14 days is the waiting period to get your refund back. A month later I had to call them back to issue my refund.In any other retail store, you can return items instore and get your refund right away. Not understanding why it has to be that hard for them to accept returned. Items in store will not be buying online again.
Doubt they even tried to ship my clothes. They took my money and gave me a tracking number that didn't leave "shipment processing" for 15 days. Contacted them twice through their customer service where they lied about my package being in Ireland and that it would be delivered shortly. This morning I got an email from Paypal saying my order was returned so at least I didn't have to wait a week for them to not reply to my refund request. If you want clothes from H&M best go to the physical store. The website wont ship your clothes to you and the customer service will lie to you about it.
I have rated it 2 because stuff actually arrived that I ordered, but! :They either don’t update their website on current stock or are just too lazy to check if it’s in stock or not. So after I placed an order, I got an email that it has been dispatched, but one item is not coming and has been refunded. I followed the link called “notify when available” from the email, the same hour they sent the email, and it took me to the item page, the item was in stock!! Not even low stock or anything!! So I had to reorder it again and I had to pay a separate delivery cost for it, which is extremely unfair!!
Derby store experience was the worst I’ve ever encountered from a customer service perspective. I was returning an unworn tweed jacket, H&M label and back pleat secure tacking still in place, which was purchased from the store a week previously. I had both my till receipt and in-store purchase receipt on my H&M app. After some consultation behind the till and after sniffing the jacket, I was told, quite bluntly, by the supervisor/manager that it had clearly been worn and washed!!!! Hence would not be accepted back into store. And by the way it “wasn’t one of our labels”. Quite who’s label the assistant thought it was I have no idea. It looked typical of the labels you get after purchasing online. So maybe this had been a previous online order, returned to the Derby store at some point in the past. Which I then purchased in all good faith at the store last week. Incidentally had I washed this item it would have been wrecked. Formal tweed, suit style, dry clean only jackets would not respond well to washing. A “second opinion” was sought and it was decided, and I quote, “to save any hassle” they would, on this occasion, accept the return. I have never been so insulted.

I am appalled by the customer service I have received from H&M. They don't seem to understand that my Hermes courier tracking in relation to 2 returns has not updated for a week and that is why I have complained. I only return via Hermes knowing I will get updated tracking, however this has failed on both of these returns. H&M however still say you need to allow 14 days for the returns to get to them. 2 weeks for a courier to deliver an item. How ridiculous. I complained on Resolver and when you have an account you are issued with a unique email address however H&M also fail to understand that and turned my initial complaint around demanding I write to them from my actual email address! Nothing like being helpful. I certainly wont be ordering from this company again. The rudeness is another level.

“Worst customer service ever! They don't even honor their own stated return policy!”
I phoned H&M and they cited their online return policy: "Without a receipt, we offer an in-store exchange only at the current selling price. Items exchanged must be of equal or greater value." I went to the shortly thereafter at W. Hartford store and "MILK" refused to honor this stated and posted policy, became angry at my request, and was extremely rude, even refusing to return my shopping bag. “RIP OFF”
On October 28, I made an in-store purchase at H&M for $86.56 with my credit card and the company charged me twice. I sent them an email and filed a dispute with my credit card company. They initially returned my extra charge but later took it away even though I provided proof of the overcharge, and it became such a irritating and waste of time to keep pursuing it that I had to let it go. To my surprise, I discovered others who had the same issue with H&M. I will never buy from H&M again.

“Fraud”
I'm completely shocked by H&M's customer service. I returned 4 items and they have only refunded me 3 items. Dont shop here, they cant deliver what you order, show it processing and when you try to canvel the order, they wont let you. Anything yo keep your money as long as possible. I just ordered over $1500 worth of clothes because we live in a remote area and I thought that I would be able to pick the sizes that work for my kids. I have no problem with H&M not about the quality or delivery but about the discount codes and staff behavior. “Poor telephone customer service”
I decided to write a review hoping to help others as this was my 3rd attempt at getting an order. I have ordered from them a lot the years. The past 3 years things have gone down hill. I placed an order and it never arrived. I made several calls and kept being told to wait. I waited over month. They said it was lost and we ordered again. This time it was delivered to the wrong address. I called and kept being told to wait again. Finally ordered again and was on 3- 5 day delivery. We are on day 10 now. I have called twice. I was told 3 days ago that the system was wrong and it was definitely to be delivered on Saturday (yesterday). It was not here. I am on the phone now. The guy will not hang up because he doesn't want me to go to the feedback portion. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me where they know you are not happy then they just do not hang up. I figured it out and decided to just sit until they had to hang up. When they hang up you are automatically sent to the feedback. They can't stop that, but they can refuse to hang up so that you just hang up and the they do not get bd feedback. Literally, this guy keeps coming on to tell me to hang up. I finally tell him that I am not hanging up so I can get to the survey. He is mad. Beware. You are also talking to another country they are reading from a script. “Misbehaving with the customer and not implementing the law properly”
I am a traveler in Turkey and I made a purchase from a H&M at Ankamall. When I asked for a tax-free invoice, the supervisor was told that the law of this brand is that it does not give you a tax-free invoice, while all brands gave me this invoice for the tax that I paid. I shouldn't pay for the title of a passenger in this country. It was very sad for me, and even though I was a fan of this brand, it made me change my opinion from now on.

Went to Victoria square in Belfast to return my daughter's coat as lining had came away from coat. Was told they wouldn't exchange as it had been worn and if I wanted one to buy another. The man, Terry was very unhygienic and his nails where black with dirt and I told him to stop handling the coat as he wouldn't change it. “Refund nightmare”
I recently bought my kids their back to school clothes at H&M, as I always do. The store was very busy and I can totally understand why the check out lady was overwhelmed. When I got home (an hour and a halfs drive from the nearest H&M) i realized the tags were still on a few of the multi packs i bought. So, naturally I emailed. At first i got a great response and was told they completely understand why cant just drive to return as i live too far away. They put me in touch with the back office to organize the refund. Then started the very long thread of emails. I had to keep sending photos of the tags then the receipt, then the price, tags, then they needed the wash label from inside the clothes and then they asked me to send more photos of the tags and so on. It is still not resolved and it looks like after 3 weeks it might never be. I am so disappointed.

“It not fair”
My experience at H & M on the weekend of October 21,2023 was terrible. I've been shopping at H&M for years. I tell you what happened to me. In the men's department the cashier charges more money than when you pay cash. And the machine to see the amount to pay is useless, and you cannot see how much you are going to pay, it tells you the amount. She tells me it's 201.70. When the receipt said 158.70, I gave her the amount of $210 because she told me it was... $201.70 I returned my change of 7 dollars and coins I turned around and checked the receipt because it made me a lot of money, the receipt said 158.70. I come back and I tell her there was a mistake, she doesn't accept her mistake and I call the manager. As they checked the box to see if I had any extra money, he told me I'm going to check the cameras and I'll tell him please! They still don't see anything on the cameras as it is possible that they have cameras and can't see what the cashiers are doing. And the managers don't fix the situation.
