Is worldpackers.com Legit?

Everything is very well communicated before your arrival. You are in contact with your host during the whole experience and have 24/7 support from Worldpackers. There is a huge range of choice from all around the world and the annual subscription fee is low and well worth it!

The experiences with the hosts can be excellent. I also like the user interface of the app. What I dislike is that there seem to be a lot fewer free positions (opportunities that don't require volunteers to pay a fee) than on Workaway. This has at least been the case for what I've currently been looking at: English teaching in Thailand and Cambodia. I've heard the same complaint from others about the platform.

Worldpackers makes my new life journey soo much easier and safer.Especialy when volunteering as this days you haft to be carefull where and with whom you stay.Worldpackers offers safety,security that the place where you go are legit.System of evaluating places from other backpackers is very usefull as you can decide whether you will choose the place to stay or not based on other peoples experiences.

For almost a decade now I have known Worldpackers and it changed many aspects of my life for good, also for giving me the opportunity to see so much, visit so many countries, meet so many people and work on so many different projects. I could learn tasks on being a receptionist, I could be a gardener, I could be painter, a teacher, a constructor, and one can only learn so much so as to become a better human, a better citizen, and someone more aware of your social existence. I have found jobs with Worldpackers everywhere in the world, and I'm sure it can help improve lives everywhere too.

I accidentally logged out of my Worldpackers account and couldn’t remember the email I used to register and literally thought that was it but then I contacted the support team and the most helpful amazing Victória came through and helped me with the whole process of getting my account back! Very very thankful and she deserves a raise <3

I joined Worldpackers hoping for a positive volunteering experience but ended up in a nightmare. My host was abusive and ran their entire business with unpaid volunteers, exploiting people from poorer countries. Despite this clear exploitation, Worldpackers took no action because this host is a significant player on their platform.When I tried to leave a review to warn others, I found the space too limited to explain my experience fully. Worse, my review was removed after the host complained. The platform clearly prioritizes hosts over volunteers, silencing honest feedback and failing to protect those who trust it.Worldpackers also promises to support volunteers if things go wrong, including covering a few nights in a hostel, but they didn’t uphold this promise when I needed it most. If you’re considering Worldpackers, be cautious. The platform seems more focused on maintaining its revenue than ensuring volunteer safety.

My last experience was in an hostel in Berlin, the host was amazing, really nice and funny. He respected the hours per week that he mentionned on the website. The location was perfect and the staff really nice.

Worldpackers is a really trustworthy, honest and transparent group. But they are not only a group: they're a team, a family. I highly recommend them.

The worldpackers team is just perfect. When you are travelling and have your first experience as volunteer, you think that you are alone in your adventure. With Worldpackers you have a safety net. They really care about your situation. I've wrote to them and 1 hour after Micaela from the team answer to me. They are very professionel and objectiv. We have worked with volunteers for many years now in in the last few we only use world packers, we find this the best site we've worked with and LOVE the people who come through it, we get more people from all around the world now, especially more people from South America, and we are very happy about this. It's a great and caring comapny and we've had no issues to date with them.

Worldpackers is honestly my favourite app. I volunteered twice and plan to go again in one month. It’s very easy to use, allows you to meet so many interesting people and see wonderful places. Hosts, that I worked with, live in not popular areas of their countries. Without Worldpackers I would never know such amazing places and people. I love how it allows to leave reviews on your trips and see, what other people think of it. The whole community is very genuine and trustworthy.

Worldpackers gave me the opportunity to get to know a reality that i can not imagine how it would have been without it. The possibility of creating new meaning full connections with people, that also inspired me for what I want to do in my future

Good support after a horrible experience with a host, although they couldn’t contact him to give me back the fees I paid before I left his place. Maybe the additional fees that hosts ask for should be regulated by the platform in the future ? But anyways the interaction was very quick and supportive !
