Is worldofwatches.com Legit?

I ordered and paid for via PayPal a Gevril Triton. Having had my last Triton stolen I was very excited to be able to replace it. However, that’s when things went to pieces very quickly! The copy of the order sent to me showed that they were going to send it to my address, Australia. Afghanistan? I quickly wrote to World of Watches explaining that Australia is half a world away from Afghanistan and I don’t know of anyone who lives there and sending a watch to Afghanistan, it would probably never be seen again and to please revise my order to my correct country of residence Australia!A few days later, I received an e-mail from them telling me that World of Watches had cancelled my order, without any explanation?Fortunately the money was still in my PayPal account. After several more e-mails, I was finally told the truth. Evidently they cannot change an order? and so the clerk took it upon herself to cancel my order entirely. After a least five more messages, I was finally told that if I wanted the watch I had to order it again!As I knew that this would lead to an argument, telling me the special price was now finished and I would have to pay the new improved price, etc: etc: I decided that it would cause further harassment, I decided not to re-order the watch! I am 78 years old and my life seems to be infiltrated by more and more scams and I really did not want the mental aggravation with a company of fighting and arguing over a watch, as much as I wanted it, but to receive continuous messages, full of negative rules and regulations, when I all I wanted was to purchase a watch, wasn’t worth the price one pays mentally and so I never re-ordered the watch.

Price Match - No ResponseI purchased a Breitling Watch from WorldofWatches.com and a couple days after received Jomashop.com had it for $255 less, so I called WorldofWatches.com but no one answers, I also sent like 3 emails and so far no response. I have had good experiences in regards my purchases with WorldofWatches, never required customer service, but this time I need them there is simply no way to get a hold of them, no response to my emails and impossible to talk to someone, calls get disconnect after a brief recording message suggesting to email them. This is very frustrating, my purchase was over $3k and the least I expect and deserve as a customer is to have some customer service support, someone that can address my issue.I hope they can get this resolve and change my experience. World of Watches did not live up to its 30 day price guarantee on a watch I purchased from them and showed the same exact watch for $30.00 less well within the 30 day price guarantee period being sold by the Invicta Stores company. They also owe me an additional $8.00 for a fee they charged me on a watch I ordered from their website they no longer had in stock (they shorted my refund by $8.00). Their phone # never works properly and I have sent emails to 3 different email addresses (all on their website) and still no response, Run, don't walk from World of Watches..Update: World of Watches was correct that the watch I purchased though the same exact face was more of a yellow color than gold one. My other refund took forever and sending several emails and phone calls which went unresponded over a few weeks until I finally did get a response so I changed my review from one to three stars. Customer Service at this company needs to be worked on...

STAY AWAY. If order is wrong or need to return they will not issue refund and calls and emails will not be answered. Had to file complaints with Pa Attorney Generals Office for deceptive business practices. Update after making a BBB complaint company responded immediately. Said denied return and provided pictures of a damaged watch. Somehow the watch my 75 year old mom tried in for 20 seconds and reboxed showed pictures of a watch that was worn at a construction site.. If u gamble with this company and think you can retutn be warnednyou will be scammed out your money.. Anything over $100 you are playing high risk poker with this company

This process was almost too easy. The selection was incredible and actually purchasing the watch was done with just a few simple clicks. I got my watch right away, a few days ahead of schedule. I purchased an Omega planet ocean for $8800. Very competitive price, very well packaged for shipping. Got the watch relatively quickly, but since shipping was free, no complaints. Love the watch. It came with all the proper documentation.

Exactly what I thought I had ordered. The pics during shopping were very clear. I'm glad to order from this company. I have several watches from them, all are in tasteful working order.

First of all I had a great experience with World of Watches. I bought a Seiko 5KX for the incredible price of $160 out the door. The watch came in all of the original packaging including new tags and even cellophane on the bracelet and on the back of the see through caseback. Also shipping was crazy fast. I got my watch within 3 days! Overall I had a great first buying experience with World of Watches. Maybe I got lucky, or hopefully world of watches has just improved on their customer service and sales since some of these other reviews have been posted.

I am happy with the product, part of the experience was a little shady. I know orders what have multiple items often arrive in more than one shipment. I felt awkward that I had to email and request the second watch to be shipped. Then to reconfirm address for the first item and then my phone number for the second when the first order arrived fine and is why the second shipment was requested, made me question the company. The product does look and wear great!

At first, was skeptical because of the low price and reviews, but I love the watch. It came quicker than expected (2 days!) and it looks and feels great.

World of Watches sent me a dead-on-arrival watch with the wrong paperwork, wrong box, and no warranty. The phone number on the receipt did not work. Total rip off -- beware.

The product I received is genuine, well-packaged and exactly what I was looking for at a great price. However, the customer service I experienced lacked completely and the shipping information I received was misleading.Instead of with DHL the shipment arrived with local mail and was dispatched from USA to Germany and then to my country - in total it took 4 weeks to receive it.

The watch is very pretty and obviously genuine. It arrived in a timely manner, and was a gift for my partner for graduation. However when we opened it, the battery was not working, even though there's a sticker on the back that says it should not need to be changed until January 2022. Less important, it did look like the leather had been a little scratched by something but it's really barely noticeable.

From a practical point of view it's a lot better than many expensive watches that I know. It's smart because once you set it up you never have to touch again. It's automatically knows year(lip or regular) and changes dates accordingly. Easy to see day of the week, date and many other options. Received tons of compliments from many people. Very satisfied.

“Poor communication - difficult to communicate with them at all”

Received a watch with dead battery. I Replaced the battery for $20. They requested a receipt and then paid my back $10. They don't pick up their phone. Do not answer emails. You can tell these people care little about customers. They care about top line sales and provide no customer service consumers have grown used to in a 2019 online world. If you like amazon and target and any other ethical company do not buy from world of watches.

Placed order from the Uk on the 17th July, there's a track option but nothing happens when I click on that. I can't chat with anyone to get it sorted either and nobody has replied my multiple emails. 2weeks later, and order status still says "processing". Got a friend in the USA to call em, and she was on hold for hours with no resolution. $#*!ty place to shop if you ask me

“Good Product - good price”

I've been a fan of tritium watches for years. (Marathon in the Military) I prefer automatic watches too. (batteries are tough to find in the field) The Deep Blue combined both features in a watch that I don't have to baby. Mine has the flat vials for easier reading at night. Love it! “Terrible company to deal with”

Do not order from this company. Watch was broke upon arrival. I brought it to a jewler to have the battery replaced, which still didn't work. Sent it back in the original packaging, they claimed the back was scratched so they will repair it instead of replacing. Who knows of it is manufacturer parts going in, or proof of what was done. Calling for updates you're on hold for 30 minutes and get a mean customer service rep. 2 months after purchase, I still don't have my watch. Buyer beware. Saving a couple bucks is not worth it.

“AVOID- bad customer service”

My junk Invicta watch broke within 48 hrs of receiving it and customer service will not follow up on it after I sent them photos of my broken watch. Invicta is a cheaply made watch. It looks flashy to hide the shortcomings in quality.

Beware, world of watches has gone out of business since early January. They are still billing for returned merchandise that has been returned and their office is closed. Contact your financial institution to stop billing if you are in dispute with them.

I bought the Essex Black Face sports watch for my husband. It was described as waterproof to 300+ ft, made for water sports and diving. After a few hours in the pool it fogged up. The website phone doesn't work & there is no email response. I was hoping to exchange for another watch. Maybe I should write them off. The website is nice, but that's apparently all they've got.

“Great experience”

I ordered a Michael Kors backpack purse at a 40% discount from World of Watches and my whole experience was great. They shipped the purse out the next business day and I received it the day after that. It arrived in pristine condition. The purse was very well wrapped. Including the hardware and straps on the actual purse. They also sent emails every step of the way letting me know where the purse was in transit and also one saying it was delivered. I was a little nervous about my order having read the reviews about World of Watches AFTER placing my order but everything went great. I would certainly not hesitate to order from them again. “Watch stops - no 30 day refund promised! DO NOT BUY from these people!”

I bought a seiko 5 (kinetic) watch online from WOW and had the bracelet links removed so I could wear it. Immediately apparent that watch was losing time and stopped nearly every night even though I was wearing it 24/7. I emailed wow about the problem asking what to do - they said to shake it! I said I'd wear it for a further week and log problems. When I emailed the log they said that because I had removed links they could not offer a refund or exchange! I offered to replace the links but they still said no. When I rang and explained that with a kinetic watch it had to be worn to detect faults the woman there was unhelpful and hung up on me! Looking at their website it claims 30 day returns will be fully refunded but this is a lie and WOW did not behave as reputable, legitimate retailer but were deceiving and fraudulent with me. DO NOT BUY from this company! I sought and obtained redress through my credit card company but this was my first bad experience buying online!

I received a watch for Christmas that is too small. I have called & waited on hold several times, only to get a message after 5 minutes saying they are too busy & to call back. I did an online contact & got no response. Looks like I am stuck with a watch I can't wear. I was going to exchange it for a much more expensive watch, but I will go elsewhere!

“Great watch”

Well built sturdy diver watch. I find that the crown needs oil, very ruff screwing the crown in and out. Looses about 6 to 8 seconds a day. Can live with that. Seiko and orient looses 1 second a day. Strong well made band. Great look. Great watch for the price.

Ordered a black Michael kors rhea backpack for my girlfriend dec 2,2019. Its now Dec 11,2019 and they still have not shipped anything. Https://Www.Worldofwatches.com says they need to do a 3 week investigation my order tracking number says that the label was created but still has not shipped because they never had usps pick it up. This company sucks and I will never buy anything from these scammers again. I've emailed them about this and got a bogus response that the mail is taking a long time.
