wordery.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives wordery.com a medium trust score on the platform: 60.6. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 60.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to wordery.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning wordery.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between wordery.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of wordery.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of wordery.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. wordery.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether wordery.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether wordery.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, wordery.com.

“Awful service”
Really awful experience. Used them multiple times but there new expedited shipping updates delivery address details and despite 10+ emails can't get them to deal with books that went to the wrong place
“Horrible just Horribly Horrible”
They take your money real fast. But, where's the order, huh? This latest purchase I made still has not arrived, ordered it 3/16/20. Only way you can contact them is via email, and they say the same thing over and over... wait, wait, wait. Then after maybe a month we'll verify your address. Huh? Wait, My address hasn't changed within the year I've been shopping with them. Refund? HA!
“Liars and con men”
Black Friday rip offs. Discounts that aren't applied. Seriously, guys. If you can't afford to give discounts, then don't offer them. And once signed up to email news and marketing, its impossible to unsubscribe! So I've put all your efforts through to spam. You won't be getting my business again. I don't do business with liars...
“Just buy elsewhere... totally disrespect for customers and legal obligation to supply 'merchantable'”
Not for the first time a book arrived substantially and obviously damaged. Torn and creased hardback. Clear from substantial undamaged packaging that it was knowingly packed damaged. Same as first case. Wouldn't even have bought a book in that state from a charity shop. They clearly hope no one will complain and make it hard to do so. Then they have a standard policy of offering a discount (still giving them a profit) but you have to incur costs of returning first.
“My book is earning a lot of air miles.”
My book was apparently shipped the day after I ordered it. I didn't realise that Wodery were scam artists. According to the USPS tracking number my book was posted in Illinois the day after the order. Instead of shipping to Georgia where I live, it showed up in York, Pennsylvania. Perhaps it's taking a circuitous route to Georgia. No that's not the case. It then returned to Illinois. I wonder if the tracking number was even my order. I sent the tracking information to Wordery and they avoided answering directly and stated that my order is not due for delivery until September 11.
“Wonderful service from Wordery”
I had an issue with a purchase, some parts were missing. Wordery answered my query withing moments of me contacting them and are sending out a replacement. No argument, no quibble, I am very happy. Initial order was received promptly and for a good price too. I have placed a second order from them already
“Overdue”
I recently ordered a book from Wordery, well before christmas as a gift, but it was well past the estimated delivery time. I had to contact them several times as they failled to update me after their initial correspondence. Although the replied to my emails, the second email gave me an updated delivery date that was also missed, the book eventually arrived a week after the original estimate. At this time of year, I can appreciate that there will be delays due to the massive increase in post, however, had Wordery gave me the 'true ' delivery date, I may well have sought the book elsewhere. In my opinion, they gave a delivery date that was never going to be met just to ensure i bought from them. Lack of transparency / honesty regarding delivery dates just makes me unlikely to buy from them again. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Terrible Customer Service”
Placed and paid for an order on the 3rd December. Nothing by the 20th and tracking showed my book had not even been posted, so I asked for a refund on the 21st. Wordery ignored my request and mailed my item on the 21st. They are still refusing to refund my money, demanding I wait another 9 to 11 days, for a gift ordered in plenty of time for Christmas. Order at your own risk. Date of experience: 21 December 2022 Tip for consumers:Shop elsewhere Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Never delivered the 11 books I bought. They didn't refund my bought”
I bought 8 books in November, last year and 3 in December. They promised to deliver it in 5-20 days. I wrote them a lot of times telling I didn't receive my parcels and they just refunded me for 2 books (they told me the address was wrong, but it was not). As I checked the books are not in the post office in my country, I asked this week (February) my refund. The just refunded the 3 books I bought in December (it seems that they never send me them) and for the others (the 6 books I bought 3 months ago), they told they will not refund me (145,07 pounds) unless they receive them back. I need the books, but as I didn't received it, I need my money back. I had a big loss because of the delay in my work that depends on these books. Do a favor to yourself: never buy from this shop. Don't trust them.
“No delivery should have got the refund,”
I used Wordery UK via amazon so I had a tracking number to prove no delivery. My delivery problem was to be solved by Wordery Canada because I made the mistake of asking for the book again and not a refund. Still no book and they do not give tracking numbers. With Amazon you have a large company and an account to fall back on. Get the refund with Amazon. I t may not be Wordery 's fault for the postal loss(Covid?) but they have lousy follow up. Good book listings but bad service. Tip for consumers:they have delivery issues Products used:none did not arrive Service Shipping
“Not delivered/not in stock.”
Ordered a book, wasn't even shipped for weeks. The track and trace was telling me it was in process. But should be delivered days ago. I cancelled it, they suprisingly paid back via paypal very quick. I asked them if I could re-order the book hoping it would arrive in time. I got an email back telling me the book was not in stock. Well if I cancelled it, there has to be atleast 1 in stock. So they tried to sell me a book that they didn't even have. Messaged them back about the ordeal. Never to be heard again from them. Never buy here, it's so fraudulent. Tip for consumers:Never buy here!!! Products used:None, there where none sent to me. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Is there a "Shipping Scam" with Wordery?”
Wordery'', a company based in the UK, refunded the price I paid for four books they had advertised, because they said they didn't have them in stock. OK, things like that can happen; however, the amount they refunded to me did not include the shipping costs of $5.38, which I also paid to them. Not a lot of money, I admit, but they delivered NOTHING. There was NO SHIPPING. THE POINT: That's quite a little operation they might have going. It makes one wonder if they really sell books, or anything for that matter, and just live off overlooked shipping fees. Bill Donohue
“Error”
I was told my order of a book had not been found. So ordered through Ebay. Guess what another arrived from wordery. I returned it freepost As directed no refund yet. Absolutely awful.
“Exceptional Customer Service”
Wordery company provided exemplary service! My professor had us order the wrong textbook, and Wordery was very helpful in making things right through email correspondence. I would not hesitate to buy products from this company again!
“Horrible, just horrible service...”
As an avid book reader, i order from many different online sites. Wordery, in my experience, is the worst of the worst. On average, my orders have taken from 22-40+ days to arrive, and that typically is after several follow-up emails with their rude, incompetent customer service department. Avoid at all costs... Tip for consumers:Avoid Wordery at all costs!! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Horrible experience”
They refused to replace a defective book - missing some chapters. Claimed it was outside of their 3 month window. I ordered a 6 book series and contacted them at 3.5 months. Not a company you can trust.
“Horrible! Shipping and Cust Service are terrible.”
Ordered almost a month ago, only to just now after several times following up, be told that the item was "misplaced" I asked for a replacement. They've now emailed me 3 times (each with at least 2 days delay) to ask if I want a replacement shipped or just a refund. Seeing that others have waited over a year for refunds, I have each time just told them to SHIP. THE. ITEM. It still hasn't shipped. I asked if, since I have been waiting a month, they could expedite shipping. No dice. So another 3 weeks, maybe, if they actually put anything in the mail today, and I have zero confidence there. If you can order your item from ANYONE else, I would suggest you do so. Don't know how they have any positive reviews. Everything about this transaction has been absolute crap.
“Wordery changes the words”
Ordered 3 books from Wordery within a few minute of each other. Was advertised as 3-4 day delivery.one book arrived after 5 days but still no sign of the other two books. Have emailed Wordery but not yet had a reply. No way to contact them by phone. All books were in stock so cannot understand the delay. Will ask for refund if not here by end of this week which will be two weeks.
“Wordery Phone Number!”
It turns out that they do have a phone number which I have managed to hunt down. Their head office is based in Norwich and they are linked to a sister company called: Bertram Books: ******* ******* I phoned this number just now, all I needed to do was to ask to be put through to Wordery customer services. I got my refund. Apparently a lot of their books are 'print on demand' hence the hold-ups people are experiencing. Hope this helps!
“It's $#*!”
Took forever to get the order - nothing obscure either, just a popular kids book. I actually thought I'd forgotten to order it so was really surprised when it turn up a few weeks later. Have to pay for your own returns. Avoid.
“DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM on AMAZON!”
I have the same run around that these people are getting I ordered this book son Sept 13, trusting that it will arrive for school. It is now Oct 3 and still has not arrived. It states they are based in Georgia, it should not take this long to receive a book on Amazon. Not a good look! And I keep following up with them and they give a canned response pushing the date out. Worse customer service ever. I need for school and I paid the money. No book, no resolution. Do not buy from them!
“Been over a month since...”
It's been over a month since I ordered & paid. My book has not arrived. No status, tracking or updates have arrived. Sent message to Wordery today. * Wordery contacted, apologized & cheerfully refunded my money within 24 hrs of my contact email to them.
“Rubbish service”
Ordered book. Did not turn up after 3 weeks then told it had been lost in post. Had to phone to get refund and was told this was not there normal service. After reading all these reviews i will let you make your own mind up!
“Excellent Customer Service”
I received a copy of a book I ordered slightly damaged (the dust jacket was rumpled and torn, despite being well-packaged). In most cases I wouldn't have been too upset about some issues with the dust jacket, but because it was a collector's item the dust jacket's quality was important. I emailed to request a replacement and received a fast response. The company agreed to send me a replacement right away and apologized for the error and inconvenience. Thank you, Wordery, for providing excellent service!
“Two orders, no problems.”
I live in the south eastern suburbs. My first order was for one book and it arrived within 7 days. My second order was for 6 books and they came in about 7 days! They were the cheapest for the 3 book titles on those two orders that i could find on Google!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
