woodlandtrust.org.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives woodlandtrust.org.uk one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to woodlandtrust.org.uk's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning woodlandtrust.org.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between woodlandtrust.org.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of woodlandtrust.org.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of woodlandtrust.org.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. woodlandtrust.org.uk is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether woodlandtrust.org.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether woodlandtrust.org.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, woodlandtrust.org.uk.

Beware!During a recent visit to Cwm Mynach, Bontddu, Gwynedd we parked our car in the main car park for this site, neatly and tidily in the corner opposite the main gate. On returning to the car two hours later we were shocked to find that the gate had been closed and padlocked! This was perplexing as it was clearly a car park, complete with "Crosoe-Welcome" sign and a very useful information board showing a map and the usual helpful stuff. What there wasn't was any indication at all that the gate may be locked at any time, trapping you inside! After the initial panic of what to do next and having no signal in this remote location I discovered that the gates hinges were fortunately not secure and I was able to lift it off and so escape our unlawful imprisonment. Other folk may not be so fortunate and consequences may be different. I raised a complaint with the woodland trust, who informed me that there is no carpark at this location (there is!) and the gate would have been locked by contractors, even though it would have been obvious that they were locking a car in!Very unsatisfactory!
Now run by a Woke-riddled, wimin only bunch of extreme left wing zealots.Asked them why they are pro all things Woke and extreme left wing and the answer was" well, that's how it is these days....."Been a member for well over 20 years - no longer!
Very very poor service, I am trying to order 1600 trees to plant a woodland. Have tried to place an order online without success, called on Friday, Monday and Tuesday requesting help, promised someone would call me back, NO ONE HAS CALLED BACK!!! Wow we talk about carbon emissions, lets plant trees, go to an organisation that is supposed to help do this and they wont even let you spend over 3K with them, something is fundamentally wrong with this charity. Clearly had issues for well over a year now, must be losing revenue hand over fist!!
Terrible organisation stay well clear. They objected to my planning application for a tree nursery to reestablish an ancient woodland with seeds collected and raised from specimens in the national inventory. As a result of their objection no trees have been planted, fly tipping has occurred in the woods and trees have been felled by local kids to make a BMX track through the woods. When I made a data protection request, which should take 30 days, I am still waiting 9 months later. They were contacted by a crazed local Susan Davies, 12 Sycamore grove, Prudhoe. She objects to everything, probably why she is hated by all her neighbours,
They do a lot to improve awareness of tree and woodland issues and get ordinary people involved with trees by supplying community organisations with free young trees. They also have a large and growing number of well managed woods, and there is also an online shop. Like many charities, the shop is basically a way of raising money so you won't get any bargains but they have nice designs and good items. Most of all I appreciate their woodland reserves which I always try to visit whenever I am near one. The one I know best is in Cransford, Suffolk, and it's popular with local people walking their dogs too - it's basically farm land with many native trees and hedgerows. I visited it most recently a few days ago.
Trees purchased not as described. Biggest sapling of the lot is 50cm tall at best and width about 3mm so extremely puny. Described at purchase as 1 metre tall or 70cm if pruned for health. Spent £35 on these, never again!Buyer beware and go to your local nursery.
Ordered over 300 tress at a great price (some were subsidised). Great information to help us choose the right packs for us and with an easy ordering process too. Fast delivery and we were pleasantly surprised when canes and guards arrived too. Thanks for helping us create a home for wildlife.
A weeping willow in my garden recently died together with an adjacent shrub. This created room for a new tree. After considering the options on the woodland trust website, I purchase a hawthorn tree sapling from the woodland trust shop at a very reasonable price. Delivery was fast and efficient and the sapling was in great condition. This has now been planted. I can't wait to see it grow. Highly recommended as proceeds go to help the charity.
We ordered our Christmas cards online on November 30th. It's now December 15th and we're still waiting. Other charity websites flagged up delays in despatch times before the Checkout, which seems a more honest approach - not afterwards. And the website continues to offer its Christmas cards for sale, even now, despite the obvious problems with order fulfilment.
I have been trying to make a donation since January. The 'phone team keep transfering me to numbers that they apparently know will not be answered. For at least since the middle of January their contact promises have proven not to be trustworthy. For a major charity, at a time when many charities are complaining of diminished income, I find it irritating and concerning that this charity apparently does not want donations. Approach with caution!
This company are selling Christmas cards with good discounts, but then when I tried to cancel my order within minutes (having realised the P&P costs cancelled out the discount) they claimed it had already been processed. However, my attempt to cancel was so quick that there is no way they had time to process anything. They told me to return them for a refund, which is fine, but I would still lose out as the P&P costs would mean I had lost money on the purchase. I was buying four packs of cards, so they could at least offer an incentive, such as free P&P. I am also a member, so you would think that would warrant free P&P. I will certainly not be renewing my membership or buying Christmas cards from them again. Avoid this company.
Ordered 15 yew saplings direct from Woodland Trust and they arrived promptly well packaged and very healthy. Excellent for the price and great service. I can highly recommend them if you are looking for native plants or trees based upon my experience to date.
I am a neighbour to woodland trust, their attitude to their neighbours is awful. I dont want tress chopped down only managed, sadly all have Ash dieback, my forestry friend stated to me that they should all be removed, but that is not what I want, I want the trees managed, 50% topped would be nice, everybody in my road says the same, previous response from them was extremely rude and unhelpful, later email states they will sort it, but they have backed out of that now.I have trees that extend over my garden by 20-30ft, stopping plants surviving below, I also have two roof solar panels that have become ineffective, due to the height the trees have grown to.Come on woodland trust manage your trees and be a good neighbour
I ordered gift membership for my son on November 22nd. he has still not received anything from them. They fail to answer emails and don't answer the telephone. Indeed the telephone rings, the call is answered by music - no 'Hello thanks for calling the Woodland Trust' just music, Clannad if I'm right. Is this a scam?
For a nature based organisation, you would think they would strive for the protections of wildlife and the environment. But no things went downhill after the WT came in 2014-15, they were caught by horrified residents who happen to be passing by with dogs and witnessed Woodland Trust rangers harassing and shooting at local deers. Doesn't matter whether its "legal" as they claimed, it is still an absolute disgrace! Their gun shots disturbed the peace and stressed out poor wildlife and left walkers in tears at the senseless cruelty. It's unacceptable behaviour. Not to mention they've caused ugly graffiti marks on certain healthy trees which have stood for generations yet the WT still attacked those trees anyway and felled small trees too and had large branches of larger trees hacked off in 2022 for no reason. This ruined the views towards that popular route/ road with an eyesore of a stumpy disfigured damaged trees which led to many telephone complaints from long term residents. They've bizzarely even felled trees deliberately into a river in 2021 near a trail too that I've noticed. One tree came in full bloom despite lying on its side awkwardly. Such shocking number of idiocy incidents which defeats the purpose of having the Woodland Trust at all!!
My subscription is a waste of money: I can't find where their woods are from their handbook, there is no parking at their woods, there are hardly any woods anywhere near where I live. And their magazine smells highly toxic and they know it does but they say it's eco so that makes it all right. It makes me sneeze and gives me a headache. So I've cancelled. No point in being a member.
Native trees (bare root whips) arrived in good condition, dispatched within three days, overnight Fed-Ex and well packaged. Quantity prices are reasonably competitive.
Bought 8 saplings ,found to my horror 6 had various fungal infections. They tried to tell me i had somehow over watered them in the back of the delivery van!!!! A trust ? not to be trusted.
Affordable trees for your garden and some good projects with schools.Could do more to partner up with businesses though to gain more momentum
My friend very kindly bought a small holly tree from the Woodland Trust as a present for me last Christmas, 2022. When it arrived it was very small, around 8 inches in height. I planted it and by 23 May 2023 I realized it was quite brown and had died.My friend contacted the Woodland Trust and they offered a replacement. There was only a small choice and I chose a bird cherry sapllng. This was planted on 2 June. By 26 July, I realized this too had died.My friend was very disappointed and was told by the person she contacted at the Woodland Trust that there would be no refund or replacement. They even suggested I should have my soil tested.I am quite taken aback by this.I have had gardens all my adult life (I'm now 80). I have had success and have never had a tree or bush die- apart from the two from the Woodland Trust. I have been living in my present home for two years and there was nothing planted. Over the past two years I have created a lovely garden, full of colour, small trees and shrubs. Nothing has died, except of course the plants which are annuals. My perennials, trees and shrubs are all healthy and strong.I think you have not fulfilled your obligation to supply young trees which are good specimens, disease free and healthy. I am very unhappy that my friend was not offered a refund when she bought me a present, in good faith, which failed to survive and grow,I had to give a star on the Trust Pilot system in order to write a review. If there had been a way to give no stars I would have given none at all.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
