Is winechateau.com Legit?

I was buying from this company for many years and always bought large quantities of cognac and wines. Everything worked good, with little delays in shipping, but it was acceptable. Until my last shipment came with 5 bottle of cognacs in the box instead of 6. When I sent an email to the customer service, their answer was that they checked with their packer, he sent the sealed box so there is no way that a sealed box has 5 bottles instead of 6. Basically they were saying that I am lying to them. Very disappointing experience. I mean things happen and I don't really care about losing that one bottle, but their attitude was unacceptable. Never will use this company again.

Order arrived well packaged and as indicated in an email. It would be helpful if the entire shipment isn't arriving together that an email be sent. I called Wine Chateau & was told the balance would be arriving later. However the wine, Glenville Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a good value at $24.99 for "Cab" lovers.

Wine Chateau always has a much better selection of single malts than any of our local stores. Prices are comparable to local shopping, and delivery is always as promised. The insurance gives me peace of mind on these expensive orders. I appreciate everything about your company and am grateful to have a way to easily fill my husband's holiday wish list.

It has been almost two weeks since I ordered from them and still no tracking number. They sent an email 3 days ago stating that my order was prepared and awaiting pick up( after 10 days)! Three more days have passed and still no tracking number… Are they sending this by Pony Express? Funny how they took my money immediately, but are having issues shipping to California… This was supposed to be a gift for my relatives bday which has come and gone… Never again, will I order from Wine Chateau!

It was hard to find a wine that was in stock that I wanted. I placed several online orders, but nothing ever showed up except one that was the incorrect vintage. You have to call to check availability which totally defeats the usefulness of online

“Problem with the fulfillment and no warnings”

After a few days ' notice, I placed a large liquor order for a wedding, but it has yet to ship. It took another three days to get hold of someone, only to be told that they were waiting for some of the items, sufficiently nobody notified me, and I almost missed the deadline for the wedding liquor needs. Also, they do not work on weekends which is odd for a large national company, and they have no expedited shipping; I had to place the order with another company with expedited shipping. This cost me so much extra and stress. Tip for consumers:Not organized with terrible customer service, you may have to be on hold and then try again the next day and the next day. This is not a mom and pop shop and it should be ready to take care of customers and much better communications, no database system to flag issues and send automatic email. Not acceptable for a so called "large company"
