Is wilshirewigs.com Legit?

I ordered a hairpiece. They quickly withdrew money from my paypal account. They never answered my emails. I never got my order. This used to be a good company many years ago. Now I think they are thieves. They take your money and never deliver.

Should have read the reviews but I had dealt with them successfully in the past. They don’t answer the phone or respond to emails. I placed an order and received no info other than order received. Finally showed up 5 weeks later. I returned the wig according to all their requirements . Tracking shows they received the return on 5/13/24. Again no response trying to get my refund. Finally resolved through my credit card company. They used to be a good company!

This has been a very frustrating experience. I ordered a wig topper two months ago. It took many emails and phone calls from me to find out what happened to this order. They are doing something illegal, allegedly, by taking orders through the computer and not sending the orders out. Well I finally wrote and said that my daughter was getting married and I promised to get wigs for her bridal party if they wanted me to. I finally heard from Wilshire Wigs who left a telephone message that this wig was in the mail. The following week I did receive it. It was awful and I returned it a couple days later. Once again, they have me going through my unanswered calls and emails to them. They never acknowledged receipt of my return and I'm out my money. I wish Southern California would get after these people This is a crime. They are stealing our money. I'm calling my bank to see if I can contest this order based on this lack of respect for hard working people who are basically honest. What a shame.

Returned a wig (too small) and received confirmation from USPS that it was delivered to their front desk on 2/21/2024. Sent several emails to follow up. Today is 4/22/2024. There has been no response and no refund has been made.

My story is like all the others- WILSHIRE WIGS takes your money..doesn’t send your wig. Call the BBB…. DEMAND ACTION. this co. Is not accredited…it’s a total scam..FRAUD. THEY WILL BE TAKEN DOWN EVENTUALLY…DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

Just to let you know. I ordered wig 03122024, received wig 04122024. You will not get be able to talk to anyone with phone number provided and they will not respond to any email, but you will get your wig. If you can put up with no communication and willing to wait for wig this is the wig company for you. Knowing this, if this price beats any other company then I would consider ordering again. I really like the wig I ordered.

I wish I had read reviews before placing an order. They don't answer the phone - you must leave a message. They do not reply to email enquiries. They are quick to charge your credit card but I wonder if I will ever receive the product. Am considering filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I question if this is a legitimate company.

I returned a wig within 2 days of receiving it in mid-January and I've not gotten a refund. I know it was delivered back to them and I sent a message asking for a refund, but no response. I have also left several VMs, but have not gotten any responses. I'm sorry I didn't read any of the reviews before making a purchase from them.

This company is impossible to deal with. I spent nearly $2000 and returned all of the sub-par wigs for a refund. Two months later, they have yet to issue the refund and won't return my calls. A terrible company. I don't know how they even stay in business.

Wilshire Wigs is a Scam!The Worst Customer Service Ever!I purchased a wig from Wilshire in December 2020. I called for a refund and was told a label would be mailed to my address. It’s been 2 weeks, still no label.

Don't order from here. The prices seem great but its not a professional company that sends the orders out. Took my money and never sent order. Left lots of messages and emails and never got a response back.Shame on them for scamming people. Especially at Christmas!

Something happened to this company used to be good.Placed order for an accessory and no email response.multiple emails item still says processing I think they are out of business since the main store is closed. So now scamming people will call my credit card company and get a refund!! horrible!!!

Paid over $300 for a wig and a week later they tell me it would not be in stock for 3 more months and did I want a refund. I asked to cancel the order and refund my money. No refund comes in and every time I call if I'm lucky to actually get a person on the phone they look up the order and say it's still open so they promise the same thing again, that they will cancel and ask their accounting person to refund. Over a month now and no refund. I have been wearing wigs for over 20 years and this has never happened that the wig company will not promptly refund for an out of stock item.

Wilshire Wigs is a multi-faceted business that offers more than simply wigs. Even though I am dealing with hair loss, the helpful service and high-quality items that they offer have been essential to restoring my self-assurance.

I sometimes utilise faux hair as a fun accessory as any other and when I saw a Belle Tress piece at such a wonderful price point I gave Wilshire a try. I must admit that some negative reviews had given me pause but my personal experience has been nothing short of excellent. After an initial mixup the staff at Wilshire responded immediately to send me a gorgeous replacement in record time! I have to say that 3 different reps responded to my newbie queries with cheerful, patient professionalism — and then followed up immediately. Kudos to this company indeed!

Never used this company before and NEVER will again. I ordered a wig that said IN STOCK and paid 35 dollars for 1-3 day shipping. It's been 5 days and still has not shipped. I tried calling and emailing and have gotten no response. Reported them to the BBB and my credit card company. This is absolutely horrible service. Do not use them!

They sent me the wrong wig and even though I returned it brand new in original packaging immediately, they will not refund my money. They ripped me off for almost $1,000.

Beware of ordering from Wilshire Wigs. I returned two wigs from Wilshire Wigs. The USPS tracking # indicated that my return package was received on 1/31/20. I'm writing this on 3/6/20 and my credit card has not been credited. I have talked to one customer service rep and another time to Norman in Accounting and was reassured both times that I would be seeing my refund shortly. (You always end up having to leave a message because "they are busy helping other customers") I have also used their email service asking for help and have never received a response. Obviously, I am very upset. Good news - after contacting the BBB I received my refund. They asked for the tracking number AGAIN, said that they couldn't find my package and it happens a lot that packages are delivered to the wrong building, but they would give me a refund anyway! If many packages are delivered to the wrong building, what do they do - throw them away? If their excuse is remotely true, they greatly need to fix their returns department!Thank goodness for the BBB and their quick response.

I ordered a wig and never received it. My card was charged. I have made numerous phone calls and left messages since no one answers. My emails have also been unanswered. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I wish I had checked them out first; live and learn. There are many other online sellers that are reputable and give great service. SCAM!!!!

“Customer service”

Wilshire has very poor customer service in my opinion. They only have an answering machine and then it takes awhile before anyone calls back. I missed one call by a minute and called them right back. No one has returned my call. When I tried to print out the return slip it said that there was no order by that number. I shipped my wig back with a letter and am waiting for someone in customer service to call me back. Don't expect much if you need to send a wig back. In my experience they have bad, bad, bad customer service!

They don't even deserve one star. Their customer service is the worse I have ever experienced. I have called five times in the last 90 minutes and still only got the answering machine. I decided to telephone after my four emails, spaced out over two weeks, went unanswered. I returned a wig by registered mail to be sure that it arrived and had to be signed for. It arrived in their hands on June 1. As of today, June 28, my account has not been credited. Beware.

“Poor customer service”

Ordered a wig for my mother, who has cancer, approximately 3 weeks ago. At time of order, it said will be delivered 2-9 business days. Approximately 10 business days later I called about delivery to find out it was being sent to NY instead of OH. In their defense that was likely an error on my part, however I'm unsure how they could get a credit card transaction to go through with wrong state on order for billing address. After another week I called to learn location of wig and was told it would b delivered by Friday of the same week. On Thursday I get an email stating the product is back ordered. I called to inquire about it and was told it will now be August (5 months) before it is available. Very poor business practices.

This place doesn't answer calls or respond to emails. I spent $198 on a wig which never ships no matter how many times I leave messages or send them emails. This place is a scam and the most unprofessional "business" I have ever encountered. Better Business Bureau gives them a D- rating. I wish I had looked this up before I ordered. If you place an order expect to have much frustration with their lack of communication. You will be throwing your money away. What a joke!

After a month finally received my order only because I tried to dispute the charge through paypal because NO ONE EVER answers the phone, returns phone calls, or emails! Might be different if you shop there in person, but if you are an online buyer... don't put yourself through the stress of it. Shop elsewhere.

“Horrible Experience”

I ordered an expensive wig and products to care for it. The wig arrived with a foul odor. I considered just washing it and letting that go, but then the supplies arrived and I was completely shocked and appalled. The styrofoam wig head came BROKEN at the neck and stuffed into a box too small to contain it in one piece. I ordered full size hair products and they sent me the travel size kit. Didn't send the comb or wig pins I ordered. The wig wand looks used and was in an open package with powder dumped into the entire shipment! It was all dirty, sticky, and smelly. I've filed a complaint. Waiting for a response.

I have been a customer for 15 years and relatively satisfied the entire time. In my last order, the wigs didn't work, but since I was traveling, I wasn't able to return them within 10 days. I returned them in perfect condition, and asked for an exchange. They told me they had an " iron clad " policy and they would not be able to send me the requested exchange. So now, they have 8 wigs that I returned, AND my $ 835! Thieves! Even after spending THOUSANDS of dollars with them, they obviously have no policy to satisfy their customers. Disappointed, disgusted and no longer a customer. Buyer beware!
