westinghouse.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives westinghouse.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 87. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 87 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to westinghouse.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning westinghouse.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between westinghouse.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of westinghouse.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of westinghouse.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. westinghouse.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether westinghouse.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether westinghouse.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, westinghouse.com.

6/26/24 Update to Previous Review "$1,049 for a generator - Would Not Work right out of the Box" Posted on 2/24/24.Westinghouse Generator WGEN9500DF was purchased 3/3/21 for $1,049. Unit was faulty out of the box (see past review details). I have been calling and email for 3 years and 3 months and still I do not have a replacement generator or refund. I received an email stating the replacement was sent - but the wrong address was listed on their email - when I told them to correct the information they admitted they did not send it. They then admitted they were not going to send a brand new replacement but an opened model with NO warranty. Instead of apologizing and replacing the faulty unit immediately, 3 years later they are asking me to empty the gas and oil from the faulty unit and zip tie it to a pallet. I have no money, time or resources to do that. Since I paid an additional $150 to a local service center (which was supposed to be paid by Westinghouse since the unit is under warranty) I asked if they could work it out with a local service center to empty and tie the unit. No response for additional months. I then asked for a refund. I have since not received any responses to my emails or phone calls. Going to try consumer advocacy groups, my credit card company and local news media and social media to try and shame them into doing what's right.
Bought a Westinghouse Wgen 6000 generator. Definitely a quality product that is not cheaply made. 3 months later used it during a 3 day power outage . Worked great! My fuel gauge stopped working said tank was empty. Contacted customer service. They were great! Within 4 days received a new gauge. So far so good.
We purchased the Westinghouse WPX3400 power washer This product worked great, for only the 1st FOUR times. Within less than a minute of attempting to use it for the 5th time, the engine completely locked up. (Less than 30 hours!!!!!)Customer service is a JOKE! Submitted assistance request via the Westinghouse website over 3 weeks ago. Since then, we have been issued THREE different case numbers, spoke to SEVEN different customer service reps, spent hours on the phone, were told the case was being “escalated” by three separate customer service reps and they NEVER followed-up within the 2-3 business days we were promised until AFTER the one-year labor warranty had expired. Then, MIRACULOUSLY, customer service responds after WEEKS of tireless communications!!Do NOT waste your time or money on any Westinghouse product!!!!Have an abundance of documentation I am willing to share to prove incompetent customer service and purposeful delay tactics utilized to assure the issue was not resolved until AFTER our 1 yr labor warranty had expired!
Purchased a wall oven and grill but was very disappointed to find that the unit came with only 1 oven rack. Went and purchased another rack for $57 😩
I purchased a Kelvinator fridge on boxing day and had issues temperature. Wasn't as cold as i would have expected. I logged a call with Electrolux. they are both Kelvinator and Westinghouse. Service guy came out and we talked. I have no heating or cooling and the Kelvinator only has a single sensor so he believed a Westinghouse with 2 sensors would be more fit for purpose. The call went back through the support people and i have to say that from the Initial logging of the call, through the service technician, the support team, delivery team and even the delivery driver, i have never had a more supportive or responsive experience. Everyone was helpful and understanding. The product is good, even the Kelvinator (just not suitable for me). The people were excellent. I have no problem recommending the products or people.
Purchased a flat screen, it lasted under two years and prior to crapping out it'd shut off by itself finally one morning I go to turn it on and all I get is audio. Screen was completely dead, black, off...get it lol anyways stay away from Westinghouse electronics.
Westinghouse high level kitchen appliances have the worst of the worst electronics I have over 19 LED lighting modules and 3 LED control boards burn out in 5 years. My 5 year extended warranty ended now 4 months in another control board is failing. I price of the board $274.00 and $100 labor. Westinghouse electronic engineering using a series circuit cause all lights to go out when 1 burns out. On a scale 1 to 5 they're a 0.
I purchased the dual fuel 9500 generator and after 4 months 150 hrs experienced electrical issues .Took 4 months to receive the repair part .Again the generator started smoking and it’s been almost a month for anyone to respond.Get the Robo replies can’t reach them by phone or e mail.Mean while place of purchase stopped selling this particular model.I was forced to purchase another brand generator to power my well.No customer service after the sell no communication from the company no plan to make this right !Buyer beware!
Absolutely horrible customer service!! They don’t give 2 craps about you or the product nor do they know anything about the product! They don’t reply to emails or phone calls and today I waited on hold for 30 minutes for the lady to tell me she or nobody can help me right now because of high call volume and I couldn’t talk to anyone else and I couldn’t stay on hold to wait for someone to actually help me!! This is just part of there way to get out of any warranty work that’s needed ( after stopped working in a month) and give you the run around where no one can actually ever help you until you get frustrated enough you just give up or the warranty expires! Don’t buy anything from this company
First review I've ever written. Many more to come on this company. Do not support Westinghouse in any way. If you have stock sell it. Purchased a Wgen9500df portable generator but from what I read it doesn't matter which product you purchase. Customer service and warranty support is the worst imaginable. Even after explaining that life sustaining medical equipment is dependent on their support I got nothing. We will be under mandatory power outages this week which is why I reached out last month to try and get my generator situation resolved. Sat on the phone for 30 minutes to finally get connected with an answer service which could not provide another number for me to call or transfer me to someone who could help me on my warranty case.
Appalling customer service. Brand new dishwasher in the brand new townhouse doesn’t work. Called customer service, they practically suggested me to fix it myself including cleaning the filter. Imagine, you but a brand new item that doesn’t work and the service offers you to fix it yourself first. Rude woman over the phone being very unhelpful and condescending. Service scheduled in 4 weeks as a warranty claim. Another 4 weeks of dishwasher not working. I was also told that ether will call me on the day and I must answer immediately or send me message and I must reply whiting 2 minutes or I’ll lose the spot. I also must print out proof of house purchase including settlement date. Just showing documents on PEXA app isn’t enough. Note to myself: never buy Westinghouse appliances. Unfortunately, it was a builder choice.
Unit was brand new in 2019 when we purchased our brand new home. Couldn’t utilize the warranty because we didn’t purchase it which is fairly normal. However, what is not normal is replacing heating elements every 8 to 12 months. This is the worst water heater on the market. I’ve reached out to my attorney generals office in Michigan and if you’re having the same problems please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] as I am going to work on bringing a class action lawsuit against this company. Customers shouldn’t have to deal with products that all have the same issues and they still produce them and have no accountability for it. So please reach out if you’re having this issue as we need a group of people involved in order to bring a class action lawsuit.
This company has horrible customer service. I have been "working" with them since July for a simple part for my power washer. They have been basically giving me the runaround. HORRIBLE!
Stove element had HUGE scratches after first use. No reply from support. Unbelievable. Expected better from a "quality" brand. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I have bought 5 appliances already and I am extremely satisfied with all of them
Easy to install, works very well. There was a fan control in the box which I consider a bonus since I had already bought one.
Poor quality electronics!! My smart tv stopped working after a year. When I called them for support the suggestion was go find a tv repair company. They couldn’t help ! Beware of this company !!!
If I can give it zero star I would give this brand zero star ! It is absolutely the worst fridge you can ever got!!!! We got it for less than a year. At first the freezer was not working and now it is making a drilling noise like a construction site!Called them to complain that their product is faulty. I had to wait on the phone for 40 mins and when someone finally answered they put me on hold of a long time. The customer service’s attitude was poor as well!!! They say they are an American company the product is actually made in Thailand ! Highly suggest you to consider carefully before buying.
Westinghouse French Door Fridge with Ice and Water Dispenser WHE6170BBFirstly, I love this fridge - the design is just wonderful and perfect for our family. However, absolutely shameful service from this company - Electrolux - who service and repair this brand. They do not care about the customer at all. Expensive fully plumbed Westinghouse fridge/freezer - completely died within 12 months of purchase. Freezer items needed to be tossed as well as fridge items. I called for service the same day advising that I had a houseful of family including 2 babies and no fridge . . . they were unable to book a service for 11 days - that's just a joke. I followed up with two more calls and was advised they would try to arrange somebody sooner - but I never heard back from them. After 2 weeks with no communication I emailed to find out the status of this issue - again no response. Fridge finally returned 3 weeks after service call and the (lovely) delivery guy advised that this was a brand new fridge. So we do (apparently) have a new fridge - I should be grateful.Dealing with Electrolux has been an absolute nightmare. The representatives I have spoken with on the phone have been disinterested verging on rude and incredibly unsympathetic and unhelpful. The delivery guys were just delightful and a pleasure to deal with. That's the only positive thing I can say about the whole experience.Suffice to say I would be unlikely to ever buy another Westinghouse product whilst they are serviced by Electrolux group.
Purchased a good tv from them, it lasted 3 years so far...

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
