wellsfargobank.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives wellsfargobank.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 76.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 76.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to wellsfargobank.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning wellsfargobank.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between wellsfargobank.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of wellsfargobank.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of wellsfargobank.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. wellsfargobank.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether wellsfargobank.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether wellsfargobank.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, wellsfargobank.com.

they are no longer a reputable bank. they lied about my credit report. i have over 800 credit score low debt ratio excellent history and never am i turned down for a credit card. they discriminate against good clients. they use ridiculous algorithms to decide but even with that nonsense they still are unethical. they gave me some gibberish baloney about my report and lied. actually im glad that door shut because they would eventually make more mistakes and mistreat me down the line. my friend still keeps their bank checking account and he gets hacked into his account all the time. they have nasty rude bankers at the branches and they have nothing good to offer anyone. im confused why they are still around. shame on them.
Eric in claims absolutely no empathy or regard. We did all the steps right to first handle a purchase on goods that were not delivered. We went to the business corporate support and was told they couldn’t do anything and then tried to address the situation with franchisee owner. That person MIA. So first time in my 30+ years of banking with Wells I filed a claim, and of course they denied because they said it’s hard to “prove” yet they had no communication from the business. Then when I call claims to understand and see what can be done Eric basically talked over me, steamrolled me, minimized anything I had to say, and showed absolutely no care or empathy. Worst bank ever!
Been with WF for about 2 decades….Tried to make a purchase with my Active Cash Visa card from Wells Fargo…they blocked it for fraud, I went through all the security protocols, sent them my ID to verify, and they said it would clear for a purchase. Tried it again, blocked my account and I called fraud prevention again….spoke to the rudest and absolutely disrespectful representatives….they then proceed to tell me “We can’t help you go into a branch.” I asked why? Her response….”I just told you, go to a branch.” Card is locked, no representatives would help along with them being rude as I have ever dealt with. Absolutely disgusting experience as if they are doing me a favor with me spending my money with them….that account and card will sit idle forever. I would never ever do business with such a poor company ever again. Pathetic what Wells Fargo turned in to.
Easy to get around there services, always helpful with my request, I have rarely had use there customer service, but when I have they always get my requests answered quickly!
I called into Wells Fargo to update my mailing address while being evacuated from the line fire in CA. The Wells Fargo representative updated my personal residence in error, which created an account violation and set in motion for immediate closure. On Nov 14th I got a notice that my account balances are zero due to a CIP violation. When I called in they said I needed to go into a branch and fix the error the representative made. by the time I got there they said there is nothing they can do. I need to reopen new accounts and wait 10 days to get my money back. I have been fighting this the entire time and even though they sent me notices with wrong dates stating I still had time to fix it, they closed the account and won't reopen.
Wells Fargo is a joke. How do I go from having my funds available on the 3rd of January til now having to wait until the 10th of January and this not being EWS decision. Oh must be nice to be protected by federal laws. My bills don't stop just because the hundred of people working for Wells Fargo can't verify my check is good. Oh wait, Wells Fargo is just doing their job! Yet, I've done my job, worked the hours, got paid for the work only to be told my a financial institution we can't pay you yet!
Do not deal with Wells Fargo Credit card. No fraud protection whatsoever. Basically I disputed transaction, proved that merchant received the item back. After 8 weeks they mailed me a decline letter. I will surely close my account. Online you can see the wells fargo bank scandal opening fraudulent accounts of its clients without their consent.
Awful. So much fraud protection in use that you can't even shop for groceries without having to approve it. Humiliating embarrassing. Declined over and over due to fraud protection. When it's a hassle to buy my own food with my own money it's a big NO. I'm pulling my money out tomorrow.
Wells Fargo is the worst bank I've ever had!!!For $100 in overdraft, they charged me over $200, but the real problem is that they are crooked as hell!! You're not supposed to be charged more than 3 $35 fees per day, so they somehow made some of my transactions fall on another day that I hadn't used my account to charge extra fees!!!Customer service (if that is what you call it) is a COMPLETE JOKE... I'm so frustrated & this is happening right before Christmas at that. Smh
I did fixed deposit and after a year my last date was sunday and saturday they were closed and i work monday to friday . when i go on saturday they were closed i go back to monday and they said yesterday was last day and if you want us to transfer your money in your account we will charge $850. i said its not my fault if you closed on saturday and sunday they said its not our problem its our policy. they are stealing money from customers. i removed money from my account and they charged which was completely unfair 850$.. doing business with wells fargo for 24 years but their behavior was like i am nothing.
I recently got an Active Cash credit card to use for everyday purchases. What they failed to mention is that you have limits as to how many payments you can make on it. Turns out you can only make 4 payments per month. Umm...it's 2024. This is basic banking accessibility and a huge flaw in their policies. If this is their way of trying to get people to open a Wells Fargo account for unlimited payments, it's a huge fail. If the basic functionality on your credit cards is so limited, why would I buy into more of your products??? Unless it's some scam to try to get more interest out of people. I'm thinking about just using my Discover again. Less cash back is worth the ability to actually pay off my credit card purchases.
cmon man i hung up after being on hold for 15 minutes. all i got was a loop saying "your call is very important to us" with piano music in the background. "your call is very important to us" doesnt mean making people wait 15 munites. wells fargo can easily afford to hire employees so calls are answered in under 60 seconds
I have been a Wells Fargo customer for decades. I have recently been informed that as of November 2024 I can no longer make mobile deposits greater than $5k. They discontinued the Crown checking and now I have Everyday checking that limits daily mobile deposits. After over 30 minutes on the phone including an escalation all I was told was we’d love to help but can’t/ won’t.
I have 2 banks. I transferred money from the other one to WF because I'm without a card currently for my other account. They froze the transfer for "security purposes" and won't release it until the weekend. I'm closing the account once I get the transfer. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
Absolutely horrible! Been a customer for 15 yrs+ and they tell me they're charging 10.00 mo if I don't have 500.00 every single day!!!??? I completely was mislead by their reps as they said I wouldn't be affected because I received over 2,000 mo in direct deposit. Completely unacceptable, and will go elsewhere moving forward! They hate their customers!!The Federal Government needs to be informed about what they are doing~
Got my card stolen and my accounts drained.... Wells did absolutely nothing! And even denied my claim so all that money is just gone... Now 3 months later I got my tax return and they restricted my account because I put "too much money into it this month".... So to recap, when they lose your money they'll do nothing, when you make too much money they'll nuke your account... Either way you slice it, having Wells will ruin your finances...
It took me 10 minutes and four Request to speak to a customer representative to actually reach a human being concerning my mortgage tax payment. Once I actually reached someone the lady was reasonably helpful, however she then had to transfer me on to solve my second issue, and that person hung up on me. Just said hello and then click.
If you are originally from Iran, even that you are a U.S. Citizen. Stay away from Wells Fargo Bank. They froze over $600,000.00 of my money in three different account without any notification for over a week. Now, 23 days is passes and they are still researching their screw up or possible discrimination. Still waiting for their reply to file a lawsuit against them.
I have to write this review as a Wells Fargo Customer. I know that many have had bad experiences with Wells Fargo. I recently had the best experience ever and I wanted to tell everyone about my experience. The checks I deposited in the ATM jammed and I was told that I would not have access to my funds for several days. I contacted the Service Manager, Donna M. Jackson, and explained to her that I needed access to the funds I had deposited right away. She went above and beyond to get the funds into my account on the same day. I have to say, she was phenomenal. She cared about me getting the funds into my account and went above and beyond to help me in a professional manner. Ms. Jackson restored my trust in Wells Fargo for small business owners. This is what customer service should look like!
they seem to have a problem with their IT. I have updated my address, and they keep sending me emails they want to close my account because my address is not updated. Spoke to customer service representatives, they seem to be clueless, and not helpful at all. I am getting very worried about keeping money with them, that it may disappear. Totally incompetent organization

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
