Applied for a group flat at The Forge sheffield. Picked the type of flat, as that’s the cost and amount of rooms we wanted and asked for a second or first floor. Homes for students came back with an offer - A different block, a different price, a different number or rooms and a different floor. What was the point in my application? Then they sent a group code which we have a screen shot of before later a manager told me they didn’t do group codes! They are now rushing us with little help on emails saying we’ve only got 24 hours. Despite them being them reason this is all happening. Don’t book through this company.

There was a a slight issue due to miss communication at the start, but all the management and staff team at the Lightfoot Hall were brilliant in bringing light in to the situation and was sorted smoothly and very quickly.

I booked an apartment and was not given even my initial deposit has not been refunded back and am very sad. both with the treatment of the staff very very rood. I put Apoolo Works as my initial address from my country only for the staff to reject my baggage from the airport and i have lost it with my dress and everything.am so so disappointed. let me stop here. am heartbroken.

The corridor light isn’t working,bathroom taps are rusted, mirror light isn’t working.

Decent enough after 1 month staying at The Maltings, Colchester.Affordable student accommodation with good cash back incentives. Rooms are decent enough quality and Internet speed is very fast.Though, my bathroom does have mould and I did see a couple silverfish in the room at the start of term. The Locks on our doors were changed with a very vague time frame and rooms left unlocked and unattended for hours at a time and not to the tenants knowledge. Lack of organisation and postal system is slow and unorganised.

All the staffs are excellent. A special mention to Sheila, Emma, Alice, Marcus, Howard, Becky and Stuart. They go out of their way to help everyone here and are very friendly, professional and polite. I would recommend every student especially international students to select Kendrick Hall as their place of accommodation here in reading.

I cancelled my booking with them during their cooldown period, and after months of back and forth emails, they still haven't refunded my £99 deposit. Worst of all, they refuse to give me a phone number to contact them directly on. Stay away from this company! Do not rent from them, especially if you value your money. They're liars and thieves.

Staying in a property run by HomesforStudents and due to a mix up with rent I've paid twice meaning they owe me a refund of over £4000. That was due to be paid back to me 21 days ago and still nothing has has come through. Now the company has completely stopped communicating with myself and the reception team at the property so I'm going to have to get solicitor involved. Absolute crooks.

I recently stayed at the Townhouses at The Green, and it was a fantastic experience! The booking process was seamless, and the team was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all my questions quickly. Following my experience as a new resident with Homes for Students, I have awarded one star specifically to the INCENTIVE PROCESSING TEAM who are responsible for processing cashback payments to students. The Incentive Processing Team do not have a contact number and despite emailing the team 3 times, no one replies. I can only assume that due to the volume of cashback payments the team must action, they do not have the staff to do so or time to reply to any emails. I finally received my cashback payment 6 weeks after the Incentive Processing Team stated that it would be paid. I would have understood if the Incentive Processing Team COMMUNICATED to claimants that there would be a delay in making payments and informed when the payment will be made. Having received no communication simply frustrated the matter. Homes For Students, please do better and improve for future students!

This place is a s-hole, I’m paying 2.5k a term for a room that has water damage, no heating and the security here is the worst. Do not come to any wearehomes places , most of the time the neighbour above you will be stomping around keeping you up past 1am - 8am

I booked my room and saw that I was already past the due date when I got done booking. Not to mention the dates were different while I was booking and after I was done booking for the due dates. You didn't even respond to my mail about me having to wait to pay because I hadn't gotten my visa yet, and when I got my visa, the application I had was rejected. I tried to rebook somehow but there was no option to on the website, the only way it said I could contact the green was through the given contact number. I called and the lady was cooperative but could only do so much as to give me another number where I had to send a recording of my issue. It's been a week and I haven't heard from that recording, nor have I gotten any new mail besides this review one. Please don't hold any grudges, this was an honest review and a plea to you to do something about it.

Kendrick Hall Reading. Very easy process from the start. Everything is there for you on the website. Locations, room types etc. Different rooms for different budgets. Correspondence was good. Went for a viewing and was quite impressed. Location was great. Ten minute walk to station and shopping centre which seems to have everything you need for student life. Lots of security cameras and staff there until 8pm at which time security takes over so there is someone there 24 hours. Lovely reception area and very helpful, and friendly staff. Communal area and laundry room were both nice and clean. Student room was slighty smaller than I thought it would be but definitely enough room for a student. Kitchen is shared with only 4-5 other people and was a good space with breakfast bar, sofa and appliances. Each student has their own cupboard space too. Over all quite impressed.

Delayment of rent took weeks, over 5 phone calls, over 20 emails back and forth and a visit to the paddington park house site. Other friends who have booked similar accomodations did not have this experience and had the rent delayed with no fee and no fuss. I had to pay 268 pound which is reasonable for the 2 weeks up front rent but unreasonable for the 50 pound delayment fee. I'd appreciate if delayment of rent would be handled better in the future.

Check in was smooth, managed to park close to block to unload. I was disappointed that the flat had not been cleaned prior to new arrivals and the start of the academic year. The kitchen in particularly was not clean. No racks in the oven, no kettle or toaster. My son has just been told they are too busy and will have to wait. He has logged the repairs needed. I was told that they couldn’t clean it as someone had staying in one of the rooms over summer. I can’t get through to the forge atm but going to keep trying to get them to clean the kitchen and provide what should have been supplied in the first place. I am hoping once all settles my son will have a positive experience at the forge.

My son has just spent his 3rd year at Nottingham Square and wish he'd found it in his 1st year.I was concerned when he booked a Bronze room but it was a good size and well equipped (5 room flat)Big shout out to Caroline the building manager who provides excellent support to the students when needed

They will not provide the keys for the accommodation on weak end days(Saturday and Sunday).As a international student we cannot take ticket according to their availably. They have arrange something and find out a solution for this issue. So students please confirm the above mentioned matter before booking your ticket its a very bad experience

It was really good service. Although i would have appreciated if the room was all clean and well maintained before my entry.
