Wayfair is the most incompetent company of the online sales platforms. We placed an order when we were doing renovation in the bathroom. There are toilet, shower controls, taps, mirrors, lighting, about 11 items. When we realized that the delivery date had passed we started checking our email box if there is any notifications regarding delays but none of the emails had been found, then I called customer service and they said that they were not able to process our order and it was canceled by their department by the security reason, the details were not even explained to us. What was the reason for the refusal remains a mystery. This is absolutely unprofessional action. We decided to place a second order and the second order was also declined.
I applied for a Wayfair credit card that was supposed to have 24 months of 0% financing. However, on my first statement I was charged interest and the promo was not applied. When I called Wayfair they said I didn't choose the promo option at checkout, even though I didn't see any such option. This is a very shady company. Don't shop here.
Ordered a Murphy Bed. Found out within an hour I could not install it in my Condo. Tried to cancel. Was told Their AI releases orders with in a few minutes and couldn't be cancelled. Was already being prepared for shipment.WTF. Now I have to wait 2 weeks before it get's to Toronto so I can initiate a return. I will also have to pay return shipping charges.
I ordered a daybed and trundle and the delivery date changed. When the items were finally delivered, I received the trundle and a powerlift chair instead of the daybed. Customer service said the manufacturer would contact me in 3 days; however the additional delay is extremely inconvenient. the biggest scam company to ever deal with. I paid for 3 orders back in August / september and they claim they delivered the orders to various parts of alberta but I didn't receive any of them here in Calgary. I've received at least a hundred email claiming that they shipped the goods and for me to check with canada post. but when I sent them the money they said they were shipping fedex. they claim that they will have their management looking into it and get it resolved over and over again and again practically everyday I keep getting excuse again and again without any luck with the goods or a full refund. Don't ever buy anything from Wayfair or Allmodern. I recently purchased an item for $85$ and got charged a $93$ international fee, which was not advertised at any point in the checkout process (I have the screenshots). I called customer service, and they only offered a 10% discount on the next order. My wife ordered towel set which looked great. They are, in actuality, cheap low quality suitable to wipe the car and even then the nap is almost non existent. They are supposed to be Egyptian cotton. If I could give 0 stars I would do so. The address I provided while purchasing was not considered and instead they processed the order to my previous address (which I had clearly told them was outdated) and they told me no cancelation, or an ability to update the address. If the item you purchase has no issues, they are a valid retailer. If there are any issues, it is a nightmare trying to get a resolution. I had very expensive tables delivered that are defective. I'm four days into trying to get a resolution with no progress. This has been my experience multiple times over past ten years as a customer.

Tried to return a Cannabeds mattress well within the 30 day return policy. First call ( Monday) they said my card was being refunded immediately, it wasnt. Second call Tuesday, they said it was being reviewed by a specialized team 1-3 days, third call Thursday, they said it was being immediately refunded again nothing happened fourth call Friday they said it was being reviewed by a specialist team. “Novobey Storage Shed 6 x 8 ft”
We paid 997.00 for a storage shed in Sept '24 that says it is: The sloping roof design of this external storage shed effectively prevents the accumulation of water and snow and promotes a longer service life. It also provides more support and ensures stability. This shed did not even last 4 months and the roof collapsed. We paid to have it assembled and placed it on proper decking. Wayfair wants us to now take it apart and put it in a box and mail it back. There is not enough boxes for this twisted metal wreck. Tip for consumers:Do not buy from Wayfair. “Shipping fees not refunded”
I bought 4 bowls from wayfair and when I received them, two were broken. The packaging had no ´fragile´ label affixed to it and the box looked roughed up. I took picture. When I went through the online return process, there was no option available to select ´broken items´ so I added a comment to indicate that the items were received broken. Wayfair didn't refund the shipping costs. I find this unfair since the items arrived damage in the first place. Despite reading their return policy, I feel cheated.
“Does not stand by their products or price protection!”
For the most part, I haven't had many issues with orders from Wayfair, however one has to be extremely diligent and in checking prices constantly as they can change daily and based on your browsing habits. I recently ordered a dresser that was on for Black Friday sales on November 20th, 2024 and saw that the price went down again literally one day later so I promptly called to ask about a price adjustment. Apparently it's not their policy to offer price protection (I do understand one see this if outside of say 2 weeks or more) or simply put, will NOT offer any adjustment. The product hadn't been out for delivery yet and out of principle, I asked them to just cancel my order and they proceeded to charge a return/deliver fee of around $90. The difference was only around $60 and if a company like Wayfair isn't willing to stand behind their products and services, then they've just lost a customer for life! I was offered a shameful 10% off but anyone could get that by simply signing up. I would've gladly accepted a credit of the price difference for future purchases! My advice is to look elsewhere as Wayfair isn't exactly the cheapest out there, but more importantly, if you did buy something and saw that the price went down by $60 or so, how would you feel? Would NOT recommend a company like this at all especially now when people are trying to make ends meet and save money however they can. Save yourself a lot of trouble. You can't depend on them for delivery or setup. They use FedEx, so it's not their problem when they are 2 weeks late. They use Angi for furniture assembly, so when they cancel 3xs, it's not their problem. Regarding quality, it's all from China, guaranteed to fall apart in 6 months. Call customer service for support or a return, they want to charge you for a return, for example, 75.00 to return a sofa. STAY AWAY FROM WAYFAIR. Learn from my mistake. “Power recliners”
We bought two power operated chairs from WAYFAIR, on Feb. 28,2024. Received them around March 3-4,2024. They worked great for 5 mos. First my husbands chair stopped working it is froze in the upright position, two weeks later my chair is stuck in the downward position. The motors do not work. We are 87, and 85(me) not very internet savvy. Thank goodness we bought the complete 5/yr warranty. Phoned Wayfair, they do not warrant anything after 30 days. Common sense--who would think after 5 mos. They would stop. I have to say C/S was very kind and helpful, but could not do anything else. Wayfair sold the warranty first to SquareTrade.com than to Allstate.com. Their C/S has been very helpful, after much emailing, calling, uploading documents we got a date a repair tech would be out Aug 26,2024 at 11:30, am, He never showed so I phoned the warranty co again, spoke with a supervisor and she tried to phone him, he did not answer for her either. She said he probably would not be coming after all. This is a health issue for me, I have heart problems and need to elevate my legs. Cannot do that now and have been in a lot of pain due to the swelling of the legs, feet, body. I filed with the B&B, and am thinking of contacting small claims court. We have purchased two chairs before and so far had no trouble I do not have the strength to check out retail in person, I rely on AMAZON a lot, (they are unbeatable.) “Nightmare”
My order was cancelled without my knowledge. After waiting for 2 weeks and not receiving a single item in the order, I decided to check my account and guess what all items cancelled and no one bothered to inform me not even through email. I also bought a cover for a sofa May of last year. Up till today the item has not been delivered and to make matters worse I moved into another province called customer service to update my address. About 4 months or so after the call to change address I checked on my account and the item had been shipped to the old address. Purchased 3 beds from here and they all broke within a year. Bed legs snapped off which caused the side rails to break. Kids beds suffered broken legs and mattress support slats snapped. “The worst online buying experience with Wayfair”
I would call Wayfair the "Website harrassment expert". They bombarded you with unwanted emails. They called me to upgrade to "Wayfair Professional". Too pushy, too annoying. Ordered a shower door ($900.00+) on March 13, was told delivery would be March 16-18. Contacted them on delivery date, said it would be two more weeks. Now April 4, no door. Contacted them and was told it was never shipped. Now have to wait 3-5 or 10 buisness days. I want money back.

I order this bed October 27 and it was delivered on Nov 3 and as of the 7th the bed still did not rise to height and I had a neighbor TAKE A PICTURE AS i AM LEGALLY BLIND I was sent a return at my cost letter. “Mirrors”
Purchased 2 mirrors that were going in a bathroom to be installed on the same ceramic wall. Mounting Brackets were off by 1 1/4". One mirror was 13 1/4" and the other was 12". It would not have been an issue mounting them but the contractor assumed they were both the same. Now they've discontinued the mirrors and there is no way of fixing this. Wayfair just said sorry for tre inconvenience. No sort of compensation or replacement was offered. This is a manufacturing defect and all they said is that it friends on the manufacturer. “Unexpected order cancellation”
I order a mattress 3 weeks ago during boxing day sale. Paid for the order, paid extra shipping fees (despite their misleading advertisement claiming free shipping for orders over $50). After 3 weeks got their email stating my order has been cancelled and monies will be refunded! You guys have ruined my boxing day. I bought two vanities from wayfair the first one I was satisfied with but the second had a gouge out of the sink and a few other marks on the vanity, the drawer are hard to open and they did nothing and now the top has stains that I can't get out, as far as I'm concerned it's a piece of junk and they should of given my money back. Wayfair if you want to charged those prices you should have better quality. Very upset with this product, you have lost me as a customer. I think your customer service stinks, I'm not the kind of person who wants something for nothing but I do want quality when I pay that much for an item. “Damaged item with no help!”
Terrible…. I just received an hour ago a damaged safe in 2 places, I paid Wayfair $100 for it, and when I called to tell them of the issue and figure out a return/refund the lady rudely told me my account has been closed and I am stuck with the damaged item. I just spent $3500 at Wayfair for my office furniture without returning it and spent $2500 buying a bed and dresser from them, without returning it. The girl acted as if I was committing fraud for not wanting a damaged safe for $100 and told me I should buy locally from now on and simply said my account is closed and Wayfair no longer wants my business. “Horribly slow shipping, confused updates”
First they said if I signed up for their emails I would get 10%. Waited several minutes, no email. Placed my order, then got the 10% off email. Sounds like a scam already, not a good start. Ordered one item 2 weeks ago. Tracking shows the item has moved to a nearby location but is still sitting there one week later. No idea when it will get here. Received shipping updates saying it had been delivered somewhere in Kentucky. Asked customer service and they said I should not have seen that, it was an internal transfer... Regretting this purchase. Should have paid a few dollars more to buy it elsewhere.
“Wragby 5 Piece Outdoor Sectional Seating Group with Cushions”
I purchased this outdoor furniture and had 2 pieces defective. Wayfair sent two new pieces... excellent customer service. Over All I am happy with the patio set. The reason for a 3 star is this product is cheaply made I had to serge sew all the pillow slip covers or use and washing will separate the seam. I do not recommend this product. For the money I paid and the work I had to put into saving the cushion covers from falling apart. Service Value Shipping Quality

I purchased from wayfair.ca for the first time and looking at the bad reviews after, I was hesitant and scared I may not even receive my purchases. Contrary to those bad reviews, my shipments came fast and although it was the wrong color, I called and received great customer service! My problem was rectified and acknowledged right away. I was completely satisfied and I would definitely purchase from them again! And their selection is huge! Two thumbs up!

Over the years ive noticed 3 things: 1- when you write a product revièw if its really bad it doesnt get posted. 2- they truelý are over priced! I dare you to find something on way fair and google that exact product 95 percent of the time you can find it cheaper else where 3- they falsely advertise.
