waxcenter.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives waxcenter.com a pretty low trust score on the platform: 15.2. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Controversial. High-Risk. Unsafe.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 15.2 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to waxcenter.com's industry. The algorithm flagged its seemingly suspicious success, even with a newly registered domain. It also detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Controversial. High-Risk. Unsafe. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning waxcenter.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between waxcenter.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of waxcenter.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of waxcenter.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. waxcenter.com is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether waxcenter.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether waxcenter.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, waxcenter.com.

EWC in Hollywood, FL. I had an eyebrow wax, eyebrow tinting, underarms, and bikini waxing. My esthetician, Marilu, was amazing! Her treatment was quick, painless, and very thorough. It's been awhile since I've had a waxing, so I was a bit nervous, and she instantly put me at ease. I felt comfortable, and when you're having your intimate areas waxed, feeling relaxed can be a challenge. The room was also clean and inviting. The wax did not burn and my skin was nice and smooth afterwards. I highly recommend booking with Marilu!
Niha at Bethel Rd in Columbus was wonderful. She explained her plan prior to starting and checked in throughout the service. She also gave feedback about color selection for the eyebrow tint service. I will book with Nina again.
My girl Yazmine is my go to and professional down to earth and made the experience always a good one. Having that comfort and sense of care in this business keeps me coming back. It's always good and she makes sure to do a great job. I recommend using her. Her skills are on point and she strives to do the best she can.
I changed locations from Carrollwood to currently South Tampa on Neptune, I have gotten random Estheticians since then. Today I met Lana! She was so caring, professional and made sure to pluck the tiniest hair :) I will definitely book her as my regular person!!
Got a back wax for the first time at Cottle Road, San Jose, California. By a woman named Sofia, and she was so professional, kind, and courteous. Made me feel the best self-care in saving a therapist bill. She was outstanding. Definitely going back as I can’t reach my back with a razor.
Navigating the Tradition Florida EW is a quagmire. They don't like to Post ANY Prices, instead Referring to the Website while you're standing right in front of them and Asking: "are you Rebooking/Renewing?" They don't Show You what you're are Rebooking/Renewing. No Product Price Lists anywhere so you can Look at it, compare and contrast it, etc. Hard Sales Tactics. Pricing is a Mystery. Are they Ashamed of their Pricing? They ASSume you know everything about their Business and if you ask a Question, you're Treated in an Impatient or even Hostile Manner. I've been to other EW's and they don't Operate in this manner. Instead, they're Open and Discuss what "Package" you have and where You are in that Package, and what to Expect. There's No Guess Work. Here though, their Communications here are stilted. I've also been around the World i.e. actual Brazil where they are much more thorough and don't Nickel & Dime each hair. They also Shape Professionally. There's no "Extra Fee" for Shaping. So, this one Office should be Called "American Wax" because there seems to be a Poverty Mindset, and it's a Minimal Wax. I can't wait till Fort Pierce gets one, hopefully they'll have a more Open and Communication oriented Staff that is more Transparent with their Product and Considerate of their Questioning Patrons.
I see Jill at the Gloucester location, she's great take's her time and make's me feel comfortable
European Wax in Fort Lauderdale burned my eyebrows I called four times to tell them what happened to me and asked the manager to call me back corporate to call me back anyone to call me back and they ignored all of my phone calls. I have been going there for many years without any complaints, I cannot believe that they ignored this one .
Joslyn is amazing she is so smooth; I didn’t feel anything!!
Staff and service are great, but the refund policy for wax passes is terrible. No one wants store credit for waxes when you wanted a refund on prepaid waxes! For a policy this egregious, the staff should explicitly state no refunds after 30 days. A block of fine print text at the desk or on a phone screen isn't enough. I've reevaluated my opinion on EWC based on this policy, and while I might be locked in for another year, I'll be gone the next. It's too bad since I've been a loyal customer for a year now. It's alright though, not like NYC is lacking in alternative waxing spots.
I am very happy with the individual that I go to..good service and friendly employees...
I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AT THE BEGINNING OF MY VISIT. I WAS WAITING TO BE CALLED IN AND OVERHEARD A GIRL I THINK THEY REFERRED TO AS MARIA BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO AN EMPLOYEE. I SAT AND WAITED WHILE THE GIRL CONTINUED TO DEGRADE THE OTHER GIRL. I DO BELIEVE BEFORE I ENDED UP WALKING OUT THAT THE GIRL REFERRED TO HER EMPLOYEE AS HAYLIE. AND TOLD HER THAT SHE LEAVES A BAD TASTE IN HER MOUTH. I STATED THAT IT WAS DISRESPECTFUL TO TALK TO AN EMPLOYEE THAT WAY AND TOLD THE MARIA LADY TO CANCEL MY VISIT. I THINK THIS PLACE NEEDS BETTER MANAGEMENT THAT SHOULD DEFINITELY KNOW HOW TO SPEAK TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME IVE GONE TO THIS LOCATION AND THIS SAME GIRL WAS DISRESPECTING SOMEONE ELSE. I HOPE THESE OWNERS OR GMS START TO CLEAN THE PLACE UP.I DONT THINK VERBAL ABUSE IS THE WAY TO TALK TO OR TREAT ANYONE.
tried to cancel my membership July 3rd, but management never called me back. I figured it was because of the holiday, but I called a second time (Saturday, which is today) and they assured me when the manager was back from lunch they would contact me. Two hours later I called and asked what was going on. Turns out the manager was on the phone so I asked her: Were the women at the desk not giving you your messages? Or was it a marketing tactic? she explained she needed to go to Regional Management to get a cancellation started. I asked why she never called me back and she didn't have an answer. She attempted to ask me why I want to cancel and I told her I didn't need a reason. So now, 200+ dollars later I have contacted my bank to stop payment on future transactions which cost me another 25 bucks. I am never buying a membership from anyone ever again. And they can keep the rest of my eyebrow appointments that I paid for because I am over trying to recoup anything from this awful experience.
I called in 6/10/24 to cancel an appointment as well as inquire about how to cancel a recently purchased wax pass. At that time, I was informed by the representative that she would cancel the appointment, but the store manager would follow up with canceling the pass. After not hearing from anyone, I followed up with a call a week later and left a detailed voicemail. I was subsequently charged for the monthly fee after 3 weeks of trying to cancel. I finally spoke with the manager 6/29/24 after 3 weeks and 3 phone calls. Amber was rude and informed me that she did not have time to complete the transaction and would do it later that day. I asked how this would be confirmed, and she stated an email would be sent. It was never completed. To date, I have spent one month trying to get this resolved. I have since disputed the charge with my bank, but it should not have come to this.
Terrible, terrible service. My esthetician did not ask me what I wanted and went ahead with a procedure which was horrible. I spoke to the front desk person about how she had botched my waxing, and he said "well that's the way it is." I paid top dollar for a terrible wax. The McDonalds of esthetician services. Dont' go there!
Terrible service except from the waxers, the front office start are so rude. The teachers to the waxers, oh my goodness she is so rude!!!! Then you call head office leave a message and no one calls you back. When there is a special they don’t tell you! They just tell people at the time of the wax!! So pathetic! On Black Friday why not advertise it so you can make more sales? Old school mentality of making sales. I won’t even mention which location, in SoCal. Find a better wax place!!
Irene at the Mckinney location is amazing. Very knowledgable and professional. Super Expereince!!!
tldr: My waxer skipped my confirmed appointment, and the front desk left me waiting for 20 minutes. So I requested a refund of my pre-paid Wax Passes — but, two months later, European Wax Center still has not provided the refund. I’ve been a loyal Wax Pass customer for several years. The issue began when I arrived for my confirmed appointment, and I saw my waxer outside in the front parking lot.The front desk rep checked me in, claiming my waxer was in the back and finishing up with another customer. As I waited, the front desk rep kept assuring me the waxer was "almost ready" for me — but the explanation for why she was so late changed several times. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, I told the front desk I couldn't wait any longer. No one apologized. No one offered to reschedule. And no one explained why my waxer left the building before a confirmed appointment or why she she still wasn't prepared 20 minutes after the appointment time. When I got home, I filled out the request for a refund of my Wax Passes, in accordance with the EWC policy. Nearly two months later, I've now filled out that form twice and emailed both the Kenwood and corporate location multiple times. There is still no refund and no resolution.
I wish there was a minus star. Went for a first time wax which was advertised free. The wax I wanted was offered at half price not free as advertised but that was ok. Unfortunately I did not get even close what I wanted and upon calling the center a rude girl said I’d have to wait for her manager to come to the facility and they would call. Three days later and no call. Seriously the idiot at the front desk couldn’t say come in and we will make it right?
I got my wax done at the Newbury location on Wednesday oct 27 2021 . My appointment was for 4:15 pm. I specifically told the lady that I didn’t want them too thin. At the end of my appointment, show put on brow brow gel to hide that she had completely ruined my eyebrows. She then recommended I buy some I didn’t know that was why. After I went home and washed my face I saw that this lady had shaved off half of my brows. One was completely shorter than the other and there was basically no hair left. I want her to know about this if possible. I am the black young lady. I want her to know how sad and disappointed I am about this. If she needs extra training please let her get some so she doesn’t ruin other peoples faces. I look like an alien right now

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
