It’s gotta be a scam. What’s the eye opener in this scam though is they are exploiting a loophole in the USPS meaning there must be an inside guy in cahoots and yes I just used the word cahoots. While searching for a low-medium entry level lathe I stumbled upon a stupid cheap deal. What normally sells for 700+ and bests the harbor freight low tech offering in several ways, is the grizzly 8x14” model. They are better than Chicago electric. What have you. But for $99? I had to double check and confused but blinded by 11.11 and Black Friday web campaigns I bought it figuring even if it’s a misprint or a part only, there may be a chance there... ol dad was right again: if too good to be true - it is. After a few days I was looking for an update on the item and came to find the shipping tracking in the system already and following the link verified the item had already arrived. I was in a stupor looking at Usps.com tracing information showing then of a package that had been delivered 11/9, the following business day from my order 11/8. 1 day shipping!. Sometimes my prime delivery doesn’t come in one day. Anyhow. Oddly enough this mystery package was never delivered as stated on Usps. In fact I have home security showing the mail coming in at a completely different time, and no parcel was left just regular post and junk mail. This benchtop lathe would be rather funny to carry in a duffel to say the least among numerous other parcels of mail. Still I fell off my chair as there on the Usps was an indication of a delivered item however it had no origination information, or normal handoffs logged, only the delivered at front door confirmation. - foolishly and still optimistic I checked around the front door some more before querying the security footage to confirm definitively that this cbd im smoking is in no way psychoactive. There was never a package delivered. Not a chance, and yet Usps would argue based on their protocol. But my security stands as the evidence. There’s more though... Searching online for a usps delivery issue will yield a current Issue for remediation with executives at the Usps internal affairs noting poor employee habits and in a random blind sample of parcels at differing points in the delivery chain, there were a large amount of items not being properly scanned; out of billions of packages some several million went through improper scanning procedures. Either some employees are pinching for themselves or there’s an inside job going on or both. The employees marked packages at the depot as being delivered, some were delivered and still at the depot; among other scan errors. Managers wrote these errors off as convenience, being directed to do as such by their higher ups and poor training. Many upset business owners and customers wrote in to complain as well. so long story longer, these guys sold me a tool at an unbelievable rate and their inside guy at the post office scanned a barcode indicating something was delivered at my door but no barcode of that serial ever made it to my address and it wasn’t snatched off the porch either, that’s what the security cam is for! I’m in the middle of a paypal resolution currently but it appears I’m the one that’s about to have the problem as it seems I received something. At least I have the security footage but that all and not that concrete. here’s some proof. who would have thought the world would have gone down the dumper so hard and fast as this one did when looking back 10 or 15 years. Everyone be on guard.
Your postmaster has detailed tracking info that shows actual delivery address. Scammer mails a 3oz box to another home in your zip code. Detailed tracking info has weight of box. And shipping origin address. Paypal will refund once you get the detailed tracking showing actual delivery address was not your address
Definite scam. They don't respond to your order. Paypal does - telling you they have paid. The site never sends shipping info. I complained to Paypal. The site gives Paypal a shipping tracking number with USPS showing my zip and city but not my address. Paypal claim this shows the product was delivered. Nonsense. I push them and an actual person responds. And refunds me. The scam is smart. They send an actual package to your zip but not your home. They use this to 'prove' the shipment to paypal. They get paid.
It is a scam exactly as you state. But the postmaster for your town and zip has detailed tracking info that shows exactly what address the package was delivered to, and the address it was mailed from, and its weight. Get this info and Paypal refunds you. Package they send is worthless and weighs 3 oz. My order weighed 56 lbs. Scammer picks a home in your zip to send the package to. Paypal unwittingly accepts the summary tracking info as proof. USPS tracking summary needs to add the street address and this scam would end. Scammer never describes order being shipped. Doesnt reply to emails. No phone # or business address. My package was mailed from 22034 Stone Hollow Drive, Broadlands, VA 20148-4596. All this going to FBI as wire fraud.
