Is vinylmnky.com Legit?

Ive been waiting a month and a half for an order, have emailed customer service 5 times looking for some sort of shipping estimate. No response.

VinylMnky is the best! Consistently introducing me to new music, while also peppering in some recognizable artists. And they throw in stickers and signed posters with almost every order. They have awesome access to the artists and their teams. Ordering vinyl from them is extremely convenient as well.

Y'all need to invest in a more responsive web design that shows what you actually have in stock. Either that or hire more customer service folks to respond to follow-up questions about canceled orders. Happy I did get my money back for part of the order, but was left in the dark to guess why for a long time. The nice staff seemed over-worked. 😕

During the period between my pre-order date and the ship date, I moved states.i reached out well before the ship date to update the address but the order was still shipped to my old address. It was forwarded by the post office but I had to pay more shipping for a mistake I did not make. When I mentioned that in my final email regarding this issue, there was no acknowledgement. EDIT: Travis was kind enough to reach out after seeing my review to make things right which goes a long way. I'm willing to give ordering from Vinylmnky another shot.

VinylMnky came through. We got off to a rough start largely due to the timing of my order. There was no communication for a week until a wrote a panic review after having read some other reviews. After the initial delay in hearing from VinylMnky, they returned to work after the Thanksgiving weekend and set about to sending me the Kanto YU6 speakers (BIG SHOUT OUT - these speakers are fantastic!) and a selection of some classic vinyl I had ordered. Again, slow start but Travis’ team at VinylMnky came through in the end. This would have been a “4” all along if the communication about being closed through the holiday had been clear.

I've been a member of Vinylmnky for almost 5 years now, and the entire crew (especially Travis and Nick!) are absolutely incredible! Not only does Vinylmnky have a killer selection of music in their online store, but the new and upcoming albums/artists they have introduced me to through the BROTM have been stellar (and they typically come either signed or with a cool freebie!) Added bonus, their monthly subscription cost is hella inexpensive compared to other vinyl subscription services, who IMO, aren't as awesome as Vinylmnky. Vinylmnky feeds my soul through the music they deliver to me each and every month, and I love them for it! Keep on groovin' Vinylmnky tribe!

Got shipping notification but USPS never received package. After multiple attempts at reaching out a second tracking number was sent. I received the package a month after release date, while it had been preordered for 6 months. Second album in my order did not come with the paper bag packaging it was supposed to come in. When I questioned them about this, I never received a response.Update: Travis with Vinylmnky reached out to me and confirmed that he would send me the missing sleeve. Updating from 1 to 3 stars.

Received a record that was defective from the factory (label over the playable area of the record). Emailed them and they responded within 3 minutes and said they would reach out to the label to see what they could do. They weren't able to get an additional copy from the label since it was a limited pressing, so they just gave me a refund. Couldn't ask for any better customer service than that. Will absolutely buy from them again.

I preordered an album in April with a July ship date. I understand vinyl can be delayed. When I inquired, I received a shipment notice on September 24. However, this was a “pre-shipment” and the item still has not shipped. It’s November 5 and every record shop has had this album for 2 months. Customer service said this was because they’re waiting on their shipment.

I bought this as a gift for my brother, a true music lover. He loved the records that were sent to him each month and said they helped him begin to build his vinyl collection.I forgot to cancel my brothers subscription in time, and was charged for another 6 months. When I reached out to Vinylmnky, they issued me a refund within 24 hours along with a very kind personal message. I highly recommend this company for music lovers like my brother!

I LOVE Vinylmnky. I have been a member for the past two years and it’s been a great experience. Whether you’re just starting to build your record collection, or you already have dozens - Vinylmnky (especially BOTM) will grow your collection with new music, across all varieties, for all occasions. I got my Crosley player from Vinylmnky too and LOVE It! The team is amazing, responsive and they’ve got great taste :) and if they don’t have a record you’re looking for, you can request it and they’ll hook you up!

Prompt with any questions asked, fast reliable shipping with a tracking number and the curators have a track record of excellent selections. However they may need to pad the package a bit more because usps tried to play rugby with mine and ended up slightly damaging the outer sleve of one of my records. Great service would recommend.

I became a member of the Vinylmnky tribe a few months ago and I cannot recommend them enough. Customer support is quick and friendly and I have yet to have any sort of issues. Records are packaged well in shipping and have always been shipped out as soon as possible after I order. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great monthly record subscription for an incredibly reasonable price!

Avoid ordering from them. They overcharge on releases that are usually widely available and their policy WON’T ALLOW CANCELLATIONS OR RETURNS. I pre-ordered an item that arrive damaged and now they don’t reply to my e-mails So I’m stuck with an item that I highly overpaid for. Shop somewhere else.

Really great service. I love that its a different genre of music each time and you get the benefit of being "first" for new artists that are emerging. A lot of the albums come signed which adds a lot of value. It's really a fantastic way for collectors to build their library and discover new music that maybe you wouldn't normally listen to.

I've just received my first few copies of records from Vinylmnky and I love it. Have contacted them via FB a couple of times, and they are prompt in replying messages. Album selection is pretty good too compare to a few other subscription services that I had, so keep it up! However, I do hope that package send to overseas could be bubble wrap as the box is pretty prone to bumps.

Weird site.I kind of like the whole "monthly subscription" idea (although the catalog is so limited it wouldn't work for me), but the truly bizarre thing is that the site primarily sells vinyl fetishism rather than music. Catalog is the smallest of any record store I've ever seen, including brick & mortar, which might be okay if there seemed to be some kind of guiding principles or aesthetic driving the offerings, but it comes across pretty random, with some quality releases sprinkled in *if* they have hipster appeal (they probably didn't have any Bowie until after he died). Worse, there is no information about any of the releases...not even lists of song titles. But the dead giveaway is the emphasis on framed options. The Vinylmnky tagline might as well be "we sell music for you to look at."

Overall great experience with vinylmnky! I originally pre-ordered an album and decided to give their records club a try. Had an issue with the clarity of one of my orders (split shipment due to availability) but support quickly and clearly resolved the issue. Will certainly buy from vinylmnky again!
