So i end up buying a portable wifi that is offered threw this website called RYOKO & yes i did get a so-called portable wifi that does not work & when i call the number listed on one of there emails - 1-916-999-9025 you get a message no agent available to talk now so that raises flags - Then you go on there website under support & try to send a message to there support team & get a message problem on there end message not sent - So in my opinion these people are a scam $89 lesson learned

I have had the portable WIFI for a year now. I did not have any problems with it. Though I pay $22.00 a month I can cancel anytime i want. I bought for both local and overseas travel. I love it.
WARNING!!! WARNING!!!. My daughter ordered this without my approval and I cancelled the NEXT day and was told it had already shipped so I could not cancel. I was then told that for a refund I had to return it at MY cost and send it to a country OUTSIDE of the U.S. Avoid this company and please pass this info on to other social media.
Big Scam I canceled with in 5 minutes of my order when I saw I had to pay a 20-to-39-dollar fee each month I was assured that it was canceled I asked for a cancelation number he said it was my order number the next day they had taken 220 dollars out of my bank account which is Pay Pal fault I did not charge it to my bank I charged it to my Pay Pal master card which was on hold and would not pay because the USPO had a glitch and sent all my mail back to the sender for 2 months which locked up all my credit cards if it had been stopped by Pay Pal I would not be in this fix and if the Post Office had done their job right I would not be having any problems I pay all my bills on time so sad that this company can keep scamming people for hundreds of dollars and no one is stopping them \"viaota.com also known as Ryoko Pro\"
Scammed. Ordered handheld ryoko router. PayPal allowed Viaota to tack on 6 mo’s of service per device $200+, without my authorization. No mention of this on ryoko website. Offered 500 mb free. Terms say buyers responsible for contacting Viaota for additional data purchase when used up. Not what happened. Charged me 6 mo’s internet service when I ordered. Tried to cancel order. Tried return. No solutions on website. Forms & instructions don’t exist. Sent email. Said they created “ticket”. No number & no response after. Fighting w/Paypal & bank to get $$ back. Refused delivery as I don’t want to be stuck w/shipping back to seller. PayPal is responsible as I did not authorize them to charge for the service with Viaota. PayPal should notify shoppers when sellers are out of country. Cancelling PayPal & will not shop online anymore.
September 2024 I noticed a $138 charge on PayPal for Ryoko that I did not order. Called the number on Website to stop the order but was told it was already processed at warehouse in Germany. Finally got a RMA and mailed the package October 17th. Received at the warehouse October 28, 2024. All the phone numbers for VIAOTA don’t work so I emailed support and was told high volume delayed response. Next email stated investigating dispute with PayPal. After dozens of emails I was told the full amount had been refunded on January 26, 2025 but no refund received. February 2d got email saying the package had not been returned to the warehouse. I tracked the number only to discover the package had been sent back to the US and then sent back to Germany and is in transit on December 26th. No response to my latest email. YES, this is definitely a scam.
I purchased the Ryoko unit after seeing an ad on Facebook and asking Yehovah Rohi about purchasing it. I received confirmation from Yehovah Rohi to get it. The order was placed on 11/7/2024. I received the Ryoko wifi unit in the mail and it provided internet service until late February 2025. I received e-mail from Ryoko on 2-4-25 that I would receive a SIM card to update my Ryoko service and that I would need to replace the SIM card in my Ryoko unit with the new SIM card by 3-1-25. I received the new SIM card and put it in the Ryoko unit before 3-1-25. I noticed on 3-4-25 that I wasn\'t getting any internet service. I chatted with Morgan at Viaota about the lack of service and got no response back. I emailed Viaota support on 3-4-25 asking them to fix my Ryoko wifi unit because I had no internet access. I received a response that a ticket had been created for my request. I called Viaota support [email protected] (US) +1 (631) 770-5054 on 3-7-25 about fixing my Ryoko wifi unit and no one answered the support call after being put on hold. I began looking up online info on Viaota who apparently supplies the internet service for the Ryoko wifi unit and found this scam detector site stating it was likely a scam. Unfortunately, I was led into a scam.
