Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

I was doing a Google search for smart in-window Air Conditioners, and right up near the top of my results was a website claiming to sell name brand A/C units, but when I saw how much they were selling for there, the scam alert rang bells in my head...! I fell for a site similar to this one not too long ago, maybe Dec or Jan 2021. The site showed many products which were highly sought after around the holidays. Electric Bikes, High Powered Drills, BBQs, etc... however instead of, let's say the electric bike.... instead of being sold for the $700 it claimed was its retail price, they listed it marked down to a hugely discounted total cost of $24!!! My naiveté told me it must be legit since I had clicked on the ad for the site on Facebook. I spent $49 that day. 2 days later, 3 different charges of 69.99 also showed up on my cards account.... luckily I didn't have much money and the company of the card responded very quickly to my claiming of fraud charges, and obviously I never received the items but that left me very weary of too good to be true online stores with too insanely low to be real prices.... such as I found on this site usgoodssale.com. before giving in to false hope of buying a $600 a/c unit for the too insanely low to be real cost of $89, thought I'd look into the site this time first. Glad I did. Searched the sites url got here. But, clicked on the sites Contact Us link and their email says it's [email protected] but if you click on that email address to copy it, it's actually hiding a different email address that when you click it to send an email to them, you will really be emailing [email protected] and.... looking up dailysalesus.com here on scam-detector.com, you find an even worst scored scammer site.... so I assume since the one you find hidden behind the original one was actually just created days ago, which means someone added that new email address to this site which is a bit older.... linking them both together and screaming out loud 'WE BOTH ARE FAKE AND JUST WANT EVERYONES CREDIT CARD INFO!!! SO BUY OUR TOO INSANE TO BE REAL DEALS!!! WE WILL NEVER BOTHER YOU AT HOME BY SHIPPING YOU ANYTHING, EVEN THOUGH YOU PAID US FOR STUFF...., BUT ANY ORDER OVER $40 GETS NOTHING SHIPPED FOR FREE!!!!' so both dailysalesus.com AND usgoodssale.com are both related in some way and are both FAKE FAKE FAKE stores built with super deals with the single intention of seducing consumers to 'buy' their non-existent products so they can so easily get your credit card information! I mean they don't even have to hack anyone's bank accounts, or any big businesses customers saved and stored personal info like saved payment methods... just whip up a site like this and people naive like me (the first time) will get in line to just hand them their own card info and they will even be doing it willingly. don't fall for it

i am going to buy gift card and spend 100 bucks and see what if anything shows up. sure maybe 100 bucks will get me a grill that cost thousands of dollars

    2. Kei

Well I should have read these reviews 1st because I just ordered a ridiculously low Priced air conditioner but it was done on PayPal credit so nothing came out of my account now And there was no credit card used.. I'm interested to see if they try to build PayPal for more because no credit card was issued. It says 8 to 11 days delivery so I'm gonna check back when that time expires and report my update

  2. Laniese R

I just came across this site, usgoodssale.com maybe 2 days ago at this point. I, too, saw a window AC unit that was priced so crazy that it simply brought me here...saying to myself, nooo this is simply too good to be true for the specs I saw. I was considering simply buying and using a Visa gift card to purchase and see what happens. When I read the ship time frames I was seriously unimpressed and completely skeptical about this whole thing... I'm so thankful for sites like these that run a scam check and are transparent about their findings...it's greatly appreciated...

    1. Admin

      Great to help Laniese!

Funny how they call themselves USGOODSSALE yet they're in China. Just saw a grill for $95 which shows at $800 on the manufacturer's website and exactly like the one I saw in WalMart this morning for $500. Yup, there's another foul smell coming from China and it's USGOODSSALE.COM.

  4. Britanie

In doing my own research to check this site I Google the company's address listed on their "about us" page....its been vacant for lease at least since May 7th 2021! Simple way to check validation may want to add that to your investigation findings!! Wish I could share a screen shot of the Google results.

  5. Eric

I just for just a 5000 BTU air conditioner from this website. The cost is $69.99 USD. Free shipping on items over $40. Estimated delivery is between 11 and 18 days. I received a tracking number yesterday for my item. I will update when I get another update from them or if I do or don't receive the item

    1. Robert J Oxley

I'm watching this site. could you let me know what happened? I hope you get your item. I also was looking a generator for 89.00 that I actually don't think you could even buy the parts to make it for at that price. Sketchy.

  6. Evil Joe

I did a google search for a specific model of a generator and usgoodssale.com was in the results for a different model at a price TGTBT (too good to be true). I went to the website to look, I got a feeling it was a scam, the first thing I looked at was the generators, every one of them were name brands that you can't buy used, new, reconditioned, or even stolen! All the generators were priced under $100 with free shipping! The contact info showed as being in California, the least likely state where a business could survive selling a giveaway prices. Before I got to this site, I clicked on a review site for USgoods and got flooded with pop up windows that wouldn't close, so I won't be surprised if my phone gets messed up from that either...

Usgoodsale.com is a ripoff. It was recently called discountgoodsus. My wife ordered a pool from the previous site. We have never received it cant get our money back from paypal. The previous site and current both have the exact same lay out and design.

    1. Kristina

Try PayPal again. I filed a claim to get refunded and less than a minute later, we received an email saying that we will be refunded and the case was closed in our favor.

  8. chrissy

my son was interested in an Airconditioner , i told him i will check with paypal, and from them i was told the company is in good standing and should it be a scam i would be reimbursed by paypal, that was 8/18/21 the price of course was to good to be true, they right of way send me a shipping notice, and i followed the tracking i live in Colorado , today when i checked the Airconditioner was out for Delivery Amhurst Ohio, i called PayPal and they checked, the tracking nr, that was also provided to paypal, paypal told me to file a claim and they would send them an email , if no response after 5 days they would reimburse me, well my last tracking said item was delivered in Amhurst Ohio in or near the Mailbox , well my suspicion proved right if it is to good to be true is usually is, this comp. is defiantly a scam. wish i had seen this site before .

  9. Tracey Trietley

Total scam, never got my item, thank goodness PayPal reimbursed me!
