usa-passport.org Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives usa-passport.org one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 88.5. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 88.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to usa-passport.org's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning usa-passport.org, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between usa-passport.org and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of usa-passport.org. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of usa-passport.org, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. usa-passport.org is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether usa-passport.org has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether usa-passport.org boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, usa-passport.org.

“SCAM”

Go to https://travel.state.gov/ NOT to this website that "looks" official -- the require YOU to enter all the info and then give you a PDF of your information on what is actually a FREE government form. DO NOT provide them with all of your personal information -- go to the official.gov site ONLY for passport renewal. Tip for consumers:If you ask for a refund, they charge a $15 processing fee. :/ Products used:Attempted online passport renewal -- total scam. Is just the form to mail in -- which is FREE at .gov Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Avoid! Scammers!”

I have waited for several years to get a passport because of the cost. They charged $90 for ME to fill out the application. They refused a refund, then called me a threat when I said I would report them! If getting a passport- make sure it is a.gov website. Learn from my mistake. I got a new bank card & will dispute the charges with my bank. Also reported to FTC & BBB. If I could have given negative stars, I would have. Tip for consumers:Only trust a .gov website. Products used:I got nothing for my $90. I filled out the passport application. They sent me a email for $90 telling me how to get my passport.

“I fell for it”

Stupid nefarious website, I can't believe I fell for it! Locked my cc as soon as I read the reviews here and will be calling my bank tomorrow to block any future charges from the site. Has anyone experienced identity theft after using this stupid thing? I'm so mad at myself I could scream! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Spam, don't use it”

They just want to steal money from you. The form can be simply fill in by anyone. They fake like from government, but not. They don't even let you revise the mistake. No one answer customer. Totally spam. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“SCAM”

I did the same thing everyone else did on here. Input all my personal information thinking it was an easy way to renew my passport. I put a freeze on all 3 of my credit reports and will be calling my bank shortly. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Complete Waste of Money - Stay Away!”

I was in a rush and didn't notice that it wasn't a real government site, total waste of money! You can do the exact same thing for free on a real government site (even the pdf fill), they're just charging bookoo bucks for something that no one needs! I even had a few mistakes on my application, and they didn't catch any of them - so much for paying for something to check your application and help you fix anything wrong before you submit it. I would've had to redo another one once I got to a passport center. “These people are TOTAL CROOKS! Do yourself a Hugh favor and do not use this SCAM!”

I took the bait, hook line and sinker. They appeared very ligament but they are anything but ligament. I paid them initially the $70.00 and ask my wife to mail application and head shot photo as well as the additional cost of $40. She mailed it the next day but forgot (thankfully) to include the additional $40.00. Two weeks later, the packet was retuned without my $70 of course and the letter stated that I needed to pay the additional $40.00 plus provide another front photo that was 2"x2" (which is what I had sent them to begin with). They told me that the one that I sent could not be used due to the size "large size" (I recently requested a refund which of course, was not replied to. They should be placed in JAIL! Tip for consumers:Do not use US Passport online! These people are total crooks! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scam. I am now worried about identity theft after reading the other review. Aaarrrgghh!”

The website showed up in my Google search for passport services. I'll admit I was pretty confused about the process of passport renewal anyway and liable to fall into a trap. I did think they were good guys even though their website mentions they are not affiliated with a government agency. I thought the. Org in the web address meant they were just an organization to help people get their passport. They did provide a service by giving me a pdf form to fill in with Social Security Number and other personal information, that I then submitted to them for "approval". I didn't realize after paying $39 to them that I still needed to pay the US Government an additional $140. The service provided by this company was worth about $5 at most. If they stole my identity it'll cost me a lot more than $39.

“Taltal Scam”

Site has small print that it is not a government agency. I am 88 years old and have a tablet computer. As a result I could not read this hidden small print. I gave all of my present passport information on their website. Later when I read their privacy policy, I learned that they, and anyone else they sell my information to, can use my data for any purpose (e.g. Illegitimate). To opt out, they provide a fake email site which doesn't work; you can't trust them anyway even if they accept your opt out. I changed my credit card to a new number and posted a free fraud alert on Equifax. Tip for consumers:This is a total and dangerous scam. Products used:None Service Value

“SCAM”

I filled out all my info on my phone and when I went back to the tab it was all gone and then after looking through the website I saw the "not affiliated with the gov" like I paid almost 60 and this is my first time filing out an application for a passport so of course I was very confused currently on the phone to do a charge back and trying to freeze my ssn pls don't do what many of us did Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scam”

Pretending to be a non profit government agency by using the. Org rather than. Com tag to their address, they offer nothing other than taking your personal information and sending it back to you after you do the work of completing their form. Stay away from this site.

“I fell for it.”

Make sure you do a credit freeze or something. I contacted the Social Security office and they gave me this number to call 1 *******338. Then they told me you need to make a police report and mail it out to P. O Box ******* Atlanta Georgia *******. I already have bad credit so there isn't much they can do with my social but this should not have happened to begin with. I am very disappointed with myself. Lesson learned. Make sure you double check the information I provided above.

“Crooks”

Beware, I did not realize that I was visiting a non-governmental site. These people are dishonest and charge almost $50 for nothing. They make you believe that you are on a site that will process your passport, all they do is collect information that you give them and put it on a form which they send back to you. What's really bad is they have all your information including your Social Security number. I have since put a freeze on my credit reporting company. This is a real hassle

“They refunded my money”

I submitted a review of the company in which I expressed a great deal of dissatisfaction with them. I am still concerned about the potential for identity theft when you give a "Private Company" as much personal information as you put on a passport application. However they did refund my money when I complained about feeling like I had been conned At least they said they did.

“Don't be fooled”

I was in a hurry to get an online form on my way to an appt to apply for passport as I misplaced the one I had and I was late. This website came up first when I Google renew us passport! That should never happen, Google! The lock and the. Org fooled me. I immediately called my credit card company and cancelled account and charge was already on there! Please tell me if you had identity theft or if they just scam $49. I am having a cow! I could not find a phone number to call them

“A total scam”

I foolishly fell into the trap buy paying this company $49.00 for a form which I could have received free in addition to supplying this company my personal information. I did open a dispute with my credit card company and am awaiting the results. Tom C

“Scam Site”

This is a scam site for identity theft, it's a private company supposedly based in Barcelona, Spain. It is not the US government's passport renewal site. Do not use, and freeze your credit if you get scammed!

“SCAM - RIPS OFF ELDERLY”

I am older and not real great on the computer when I was looking for the Government site to fill out passport paperwork I accidently got on this site. I didn't know until after I paid the $89 that is was the charge for paperwork that is free on the Government website. I couldn't find this place again to request money back so I contacted my bank to stop payment. They contacted the bank saying the are ligament and I owed the fee. This place is actually out of SPAIN not even in the US. Please whatever you do don't give them your money. They say 120 days to refund but they won't refund my money because I notified my bank first. Great excuse to keep money from a senior citizen who is barely able to make ends meat. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY! Tip for consumers:The paperwork is free on the Government website for passports and they would not refund my money even thought they say there is 120 days to get a refund. It was $89 Products used:This was for paperwork only which I did not use

“Scam”

Scam, don't be fooled by this stupid company. They will make you feel so dumb for ever trusting them. The smack in the face at the end of the submitting and final transaction for them to make the title of the website tab, "THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING US". If it weren't for that sketchy title I would have never looked farther into this SCAM. It's disgusting that things are out there like this and so perfectly hidden in plain sight. It really makes you wonder how Google has them at the top of their search list instead of an actual GOVERNMENT WEBSITE? It's as if google can get away with anything... Now, I've had to go to the three major Credit card Bureaus and put a freeze on all my accounts. I'm currently trying to become a DR. and need to go off to another country for school and this stupid website only made the process DUMBER AND LONGER. This website is set up perfectly to be a super scam. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scam. Do not input your personal info.”

Everything this website offers is FREE on the government website (travel.state.gov). usa-passport.org is impersonating government properties, charging a fee for free information and forms, and steals your info. Do not use this or fall for it like I did. Service Value Shipping Quality

“SCAM”

SCAM SCAM SACM. Do not ever use this. When I went to the post office to get my passport they told me that they do everything there and you shouldn't have to pay for anything prior. If you get scammed by these POS low life's then call the number present on the bank transaction and they will give you a refund very easily. Hm, imagine that. They don't even ask why you are wanting a refund. What low life's. This review deserves a zero stars option. Service Value Quality

“USA-Passport.Org Is A SCAM!”

This company is impersonating the US State Department. They charged me $49.00 for information I could have received for free from the US State Department. It was my mistake for not doing more research on the US Passport renewal process. Don't make the same mistaake.

“My fault :/”

Total scam of a website impersonating the US gov, 49 bucks for something you could do on your own. A private company stealing info from Spain, STAY AWAY. I will contact my bank in the morning for fraud so I get my money back, ridiculous Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“A scam, but they're easy to work with!”

I also fell for the scam… But when I called to get a refund no questions were asked and they gave me a full refund. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Very helpful”

They made it very quickly for me because it was very hard for me as an old man to fill out the passport form Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
