Is urbanexcess.com Legit?

Placed an order with 2 day shipping and received immediate confirmation but did not actually receive the dispatch details for 3 weeks. Customer service took up to 2 days to reply each time I emailed and the only way I found help was through the brand's instagram DMS. While the experience was poor, the item was in good condition when I bought it and the alternate size I requested was provided which was nice.Would not recommend shopping here unless you can wait almost a month for your product.

Purchased a Stetson Hatteras flat cap to add to my collection! Urban Excess was the best price I’ve ever found them for. Arrived on time, well packaged, and at an unbeatable price! No complaints from me. Very happy with whole experience!

Being based in the EU, since Brexit I tend to avoid shopping from the UK (tax/VAT, costly returns etc). The website, however, said all taxes included, and in fact I wasn't charged with any import tax (very fast delivery too). Unfortunately, I had to return one item, and was expecting to get it without VAT. Instead, I received a full refund. Overall very impressed with this company, especially because they stock a lot of brands I am interested in. Highly recommended.

Order was placed as next day delivery, 5 days later status was still showing as order placed. Only once I emailed them did they reply and tell me the order can’t be carried out as they don’t have the stock. Should have read the reviews before purchasing as the majority are the same situation.

Received only part of my order, when notifying the company about this I was told by the woman behind the service email Mille that there was no fault on their end and there was nothing to be done further about it. I am now out of pocket for something I didn’t get. I should have looked at the reviews on here before ordering as I see others have had the same issue. Avoid this place at all costs, you can shop for the same items elsewhere.

Terrible company avoid!Returned jacket value £535 via Royal Mail special delivery heard nothing from customer service after numerous emails,no phone contact.Managed to get money back via PayPal,honestly avoid stress and hassle.Don’t think they will be trading much longer.

I placed an order, Urban Excess took payment of £96 out of my bank straight away but the parcel wasn’t delivered. They did provide Royal Mail tracking information but it appeared that they never actually posted the parcel. Apparently they’re now sending a refund which takes 10 days (odd how it takes about 5 minutes to take money out of my bank but 10 days to give it back). There’s no phone number so you can’t talk to anyone to resolve any issues. Won’t ever order from this company again.

Great service, fast delivery. I love the Stetson Hatteras Newsboy Cap, it feels like I've always worn it.Perfect fit as well. The retailer's site provided its circumference, which helped with my purchase decision.

Seven days after I placed my order, they told me they had cancelled it because they had no stock. But that was clearly a lie because I saw they continued to sell the exact items with the exact sizes on their website but at a higher price! I suppose they didn't want to sell those to me at the price I ordered. They didn't reply to my queries asking for further explanation. They are not trustworthy.

Was nervous about returning an item after reading some of the other comments. But my experience was a good one. The follow up emails were really polite and prompt. And the refund arrived within 5 days.

I bought two similar items, one of which had to be returned. Customer services were great when I contacted them to see if they had received it after a bit of a Royal Mail failure! They replied to my emails promptly and issued a refund. I bought some Cahartt cargo pants which were great and my Grandson loved them.

Absolutely terrible company. DO NOT BUY from them. Order returned on 3rd January and no communication. Now passed the 5-10 working days. Order value over £400. I will never use again. not acceptable to have no telephone customer support or at least better email communication. In this day and age, not the way to do business. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I've purchased a number of items over the years form urbanexcess. Nice independent business with an awesome range of brands. Delivery and packaging is always on point. Pricing is really good. When I've had to return something due to ordering the wrong size that was super easy too, so highly recommend

Service from Urban Excess was outstanding. The service from DPD not so good but that’s another story. Worth mentioning that Urban Excess dispatched the jacket on the day of order and did what they could to resolve the delivery problem. As for the jacket… I love it. A fine piece of French workwear

I returned my order over 5 weeks ago. Followed their returns process to the letter. Royal Mail’s system confirms my return was sent but no refund received.Awful customer service, they take days to respond and they say no one is available to call me to discuss.An utter shambles of a company and I would strongly advise against using them. A really bad experience. They type of scam you see on these consumer programs on TV. Avoid.

I made a purchase from urbanexcess that I had to send back , unfortunately I didn’t return it properly and it got lost , the girls on the customer service team were amazing, they kept in contact with me and eventually they located my parcel and gave me a full refund Thank you to you all for helping so much Liz x

Charged me nearly £10 to try on a pair of shoes. Paid £144.99 and was refunded £135.50 after returning. Prepare to be short changed if your items don't fit and they don't have stock in the next sizes. The site claims "28-day try on period • Instant Returns via Swap" I feel this is misleading. The cost of delivery is not refunded and you get charged on top for returning the items. Feels a little behind the times when most other retailers offer free returns. If they had the next size up in stock I would have exchanged them, instead I bought them elsewhere. Contacted their customer services team but they were useless.I won't shop here again now purely out of principle.Order No: 145864

Paid for next day delivery, a week goes by and still nothing. Customer service apologised but the item was out of stock, I asked if they would arrange a free return if I order the next size down, in the event it didn’t fit I could return it, they said no. I understand it’s a busy time and mistakes happen but there are so many online retailers selling the same brands that have offered things that could make a real difference in making up for mistakes.
