Is urbancompany.com.au Legit?

Urban Company appears to be a middle man and subcontracts the work to other companies. I hired Urban Company to clean my sofas. They left striation marks on the sofas and offered to send back the same team to fix the problem. The same team then discoloured my arm chair. I provided them with photos and they investigated and the solution was to refund AED 139 to my account for completely ruining my arm chair. The reason why they could not do more is because as per their policy if the “professional” denies any damage then it’s case closed.

First, I needed cleaning services. The company promises either the same cleaner every time or a free cleaning service. However, in three cleanings, I had three different cleaners. I pay for a subscription, but no one has refunded me. So, I canceled. When you register your phone, the company starts sending text messages: Why didn't you subscribe? Or why did you cancel? Next, I needed air conditioner cleaning. The technician arrived without a pass (entry permission from Emaar, which is their responsibility to arrange). He wasn’t allowed in, so he left. A week later, I decided to try my luck again and ordered an expensive deep cleaning. A guy arrived without an ID and without a pass (despite me notifying him via SMS that he wouldn’t be allowed in without it). He left as well. I wasted my time and two of my weekends waiting at home for them.

Home cleaning Very poor unhygienic service, even the basic level of cleaning is disastrous, with areas missed and totally disregarded. Paid for 4 hours finished in 3 hours. Customer service centre is message only NO TELEPHONE NUMBER, they totally mess you around and do not reply back even when promised. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Was delivered a service by Urban company on Friday 5th July. The cleaning professional came in 10 mins late. The service delivered was awful. The cleaner was unhygienic, did not follow instructions and even spoke back when told what to do. A very rude person. I was assured a call back from the team which they did . Sadly enough they kept calling saying they would check what went wrong and would get back. This went on for three times and then they never got back with a solution. The most unprofessional company where the people have no clue what is happening they do not have a phone number that you can call, you have to request for a call from them and they will hopefully call back such an awful way to operate. I don't think I would go back to them as it's purely a waste of time. They are only interested in getting clients and not in favour of making sure that their clients get what they paid for.

Undoubtedly the worst company in terms of home cleaning services. The designated individuals are always running far behind scheduled time and upon asking keep lying about being 10/15 mins away. Eventually they do not turn up. This has happened with me repeatedly and as a result of this I have decided not to use the services any more. If your credit card is attached there is a fee levied on the same despite the above hassle. This is not the level of service Dubai residents are used to.

Urban company is a fraudulent website that I would never recommend. The experience was horrible and is probably the worst experience for my mother on Mother’s Day. They were rude and misbehaved with my family. I would like to specially call out, their staff Nilofer who was loud and did not follow procedure and asked for money even though the service was prepaid. Thank you for nothing. I will recommend to never use their services unless you like being spoken rudely to, after spending so much money.

Very unprofessional team they only care about payments but if you have any problems with their technicians they literally dont care Stupid customer service they keep calling for the same issue that they dont bother to solve i have received 5 calls in 2 hours trying to ask why did i cancel my appointment when i have complained already about their service they sent me a trainee without equipments to do my nails they kept asking if i payed her..Stupid management hires stupid employee to literally waste your time

I never had an experience like this before worse company ever dont even trust them they will keep you hanging and then finally when you cant book from any other company they will say we cant come. Pathetic company i swear never going to trust them anymore waited for the professional more than 3 hours the call center agent says she will arrange another and i said please and after 1 hour they are again saying we cant come. Liars

Always my go to for cleaning services, recently had my carpets cleaned and the booking process is super smooth, you get assigned a cleaner very quickly and then you can chat to your cleaner if you need to let them know where to park etcPayment is a breeze on the system, and the end result has always been so clean! I like using urban company as it's trusted and safe!

It’s pretty easy to use the urban company app to book a regular clean. It would be good with some added functionality (e.g. easier to change booking details) but overall good. I like that you can see the reviews if your service professionals and make changes prior to them arriving. Our cleaners are well priced and trustworthy.

We had the majority of our flat cleaned - bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room. It was a delight to walk back into when Eric had finished. A thorough clean and we’ll definitely be using UC again. We’ve always been delighted with every UC member who has visited to clean.

Giving a 1 star because there's nothing lesser than that. We booked one month in advance and planned our flight tickets accordingly. 12 hours before the service, they cancelled on us due to apparent technical issues. We had to clean the entire house because it was too late to find anyone. Can't believe how ridiculous this company is. Last time they were late and now they never showed up. Wow. Highly recommend to shut it down rather than operate at this point. Our friends had a horrible experience too where the cleaners didn't clean the property efficiently.

I recently booked a first-time deep clean of my whole apartment and was impressed with the level of care and detail my assigned cleaner had gone to. The house was not only sparkling clean, but also smelt amazing. Will definitely book through Urban Company again for ongoing cleaning now. Added bonus, the App is very user-friendly and simple to book in services quickly.

The cleaners arrived almost an hour late and did not clean the place properly. They also tried cleaning areas which we did not specifically requested for (failure to follow instructions). There was still a lot of grease residue in the kitchen. They did not clean the toilet bowels, despite we paid for a deep clean. Further, they charged us an incorrect additional amount, which we had to take time to dispute for a refund. Horrible experience.

We had a cleaning booked for early Monday morning, and confirmed via text message several days in advance. We weren't at the property, but realized that the cleaner didn't show up about 4 hours after the appointment start time. There was zero communication from the cleaner or Urban Company. Emergencies happen, but the no communication is unacceptable. They even said they tried via their chat function, but couldn't provide receipts. Their chat function is also horrible. You must constantly refresh and if it needs to be refreshed before an agent reads it, it disappears. Don't work with this company.

Urban company has been so convenient to use, and I love the flexibility of being able to book through the app last minute if I need to. After a little trial and error I’ve found a regular cleaner who does an amazing job, is a great communicator and is also very nice and respectful. I’ll be booking her for a long time!

Biggest mistake of my life booking with them. Their "professional" tricked me out of the room asking water ( she was doing my hair) and stole valuable family jewelries. When i contacted urban company they politely sent me a message saying they were sorry for the inconvenience. They still charged me and didn't offer any kind of help. Case is with the police now. Be careful they have no idea who they work with

Great service from UC. I booked a cleaner to do a general clean of my kitchen and living area, and deep clean of my bathrooms. I’ve been time poor since welcoming a little girl into the family, and having my house cleaned for me was a real treat. I found the service excellent as well as cost effective. We’ve booked since for another clean and I plan to organise more in the future!

I used urban company for an end of lease clean of a newly renovated house and they were quite good. I had booked them for another end of lease clean but they didn’t have any professional available till last minute. So they gave a $30 credit but this caused a lot of inconvenience for us and we had to clean a 3 bedroom apartment ourselves in the middle of a move.

End of lease cleaning was great I have not received my bond back yet, but anticipate that I will. Service was quick and efficient.All rooms were spotless. Good communication skills - I was notified when clean was 30 minutes from completion and ensure I was satisfied.
