Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 61.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to uniplaces.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning uniplaces.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between uniplaces.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of uniplaces.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of uniplaces.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. uniplaces.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether uniplaces.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether uniplaces.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, uniplaces.com.

I moved after payed 1 month rent and tax of uniplace and the owner of apartment said don’t received the first month payment! I contacted and don’t received any reply from Uniplace! I need help because the owner want I pay the first rent again
Thanks to Uniplaces I have found a room for the Erasmus Exchange in Coimbra. There was a small problem with my payment by debit card but thankfully I got a message from Sara, who works for Uniplaces and she offered help. Fortunately I fixed problem by myself but I strongly appreciate even the offer of this support. Thanks to this message I have my room booked:)
The process was easy but having no info about the landlord previous to book in a city like Rome its treaky. Furthermore the attention service doesn’t answer fast and the platform fails a lot. However overall smooth process, fingers crossed for me…
I will give my honest real rating after i move in. thanks for ll the help and assistance during process?
The website is built in a very clear, tidy way, without any unnecessary features. The apartments are very well shown, especially the ones with professional photos. It's good to have an agency that watches over the process of renting an apartment in a foreign country.
It was a good experience to work with youWe had some technical issues with the system but your customer service team help me to resolve itBest RegardsArturo
Really bad! It was my first time booking with you and it was the worst, the room i booked it's not like i thought, if you use edit or filter (photoshop) images it's not possible to see if is truth what you're renting. And of course my room doesn't fulfill the minimum standards of maintenance and cleanliness, this can be considerated as false advertising since it says it was verified by you. I want a refund.
It's a safe place to search for accomodation and the options are qutie great. However, once the site didn't reply and also, on numerous occasions a listing is considered eligable for a year than if I want to make a resevartion they write that you can move in only in July/August. For an Erasmus student, this is not optional and from most countries students can't pay 2 months of additional rent, also it's a bit misinforming.
The worst experience of my life. The apartment was completely different from the pictures presented on the website. On the website, the apartment looked cozy, beautiful, and seemed to be renovated. But the real apartment was old, with different and outdated furniture, smelling like tobacco and sewage, a leaky shower, a moldy curtain, and a kitchen socket with exposed wires.I was shocked when I arrived at the studio and contacted Uniplaces to cancel the reservation because it was very different from what was advertised. Uniplaces replied that there were no differences compared to the pictures and that my complaint was not valid. However, I had paid 600 euros for the website to check the apartment because they don't allow visits beforehand. Even after explaining that I have asthma and that it was impossible to stay in that apartment, they didn't care. They only allowed me to leave early but didn't refund any of the money I had paid. I paid a 600 euro Uniplaces fee, 750 euros for the first month's rent, and a 750 euro security deposit, which the landlord didn't return, claiming I left early. I ended up spending 2100 euros for being deceived. I don't recommend this website to anyone. It’s not reliable. To make matters worse, the website continued to use the same misleading pictures for future listings. It’s absurd.
Easy access and reliable! I rented a room and found it same as the pictures.Plus Chiara the assistance was really nice, kind and helpful! She made it easier for me !Thank you very much!
Easy site to navigate, great backoffice support and attention, and super easy to rent a place abroad. The listing are current, up to date, clear descriptions and availability, especially in quick easy way that listings show date availability, price, fees, utilities information. Site is very easy to navigate and search. Clean, uncluttered site, visually intuitive. All the key information a client needs is contained in the individual listing icons. Secure, confident renting and payment. I liked the fact "real" people in the backoffice contact you to make sure the process is going ok. My 2 suggestions for fixes are:1. some of the listings (landlord descriptions) do NOT provide clear information whether apartment includes certain amenities (laundry, dishwasher, etc) and the pictures do not show. Maybe a separate listing of all appliances is needed.2. Allow client to make final decision before automatically charging the credit card once landlord agrees. The instructions were not clear on this (especially since site encourages clients to submit multiple selections). I was surprised that my credit card was charged soon as the landlord accepted - without giving me a chance to make final decision. I wanted the apartment regardless, but point is that before client is charged, they should have final say (accept, do not accept) after landlord accepts -- people change their minds or multiple landlords may accept, etc.
It would be nicer if the uniplaces tax was explained sooner in the process .The Searching experience is good, but I feel the payment method could be somehow more clear since the beginning of the research.
Quick and painless and now i am at peace knowing my son has a place to stay during his first year at university.
The website have an easygoing page, although the proof of reserve as you book a place should be more complete and concise for visa purposes.
Best website for student accomodation. Costumer service is absolutely top notch. Uniplaces informed me through every step of the process. They're customer service agents were so nice and patient. The website is very easy to navigate. Offers the cheapest prices on the web, very competitive prices. Everything went smoothly and hopefully I'll be moving to my apartment soon.
According my experience with uniplaces The best was the support, it was quickly, reasonble and effective. It is not easy to manage some situations in apartments with tenants even with owners. I'm grateful for their help to solve some troubles of understanding between both tenants and owner maybe the worst part was the difficult with the language. because the language. I prefer a tenant who speak Spanish or English. Best regards
Got sent a message from houseowner (after he accepted and they took my money?) saying it actually wasn't available, even thought he accepted my request.
Up to date I just used this platform for a booking which went well. Cannot give an opinion about further services or support.
Tamara was very kind and helped me in the process of getting the apartment
The web doesn’t work at all if you are not in a computer , you lose basically half of the experience because of it, not letting you even see the map, or the hole page, the same goes for the app I was not able to change or go back, not because it didn’t let me but because the structure was cut by half and couldn’t reach the top or the end of the web or write the city you want to research, it was really bad until I tried in the computer

“Bad customer service - I recommend Idealista instead”
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my booking and the room was seamlessly re-let to another student I knew. Nevertheless, Uniplaces insisted on its strict cancellation policy, which meant that I lost the booking fee and the first month's rent (€700 in total) without anything in return. Very unfriendly and unresponsive customer service, out to maximise profit, unfortunately I cannot recommend. In future I can recommend everyone to use idealista. “The primary mission of this company seems to be taking your money without any intention of returning”
The primary mission of this company seems to be taking your money without any intention of returning it. Here's what happened in my case: I urgently needed to book an entire apartment for the same day. They responded with an alternative option from the same host at the same price. I clicked "Book" directly from the email. Immediately, they charged me €932.00 (€252.00 - is a servive fee). When I checked my booking on their site, I discovered that I had actually booked just a single room in a three-room apartment shared with students – at the same price as the whole apartment! This was completely unsuitable as I was planning to stay with my wife and did not need a shared space. Within 10 minutes, I contacted their support team. After some back and forth, they redirected me to another department via email, requiring me to explain everything from scratch, wasting valuable time on the same day I was supposed to check in. Their final response was, "We are really sorry, but you clicked the button, so we can't help you or return your money." This left us €932.00 out of pocket and forced my wife and me to share an apartment with students, including all shared spaces. It's incredibly frustrating and misleading to request the whole apartment and had a proposition to book an alternative with same price but just a room and end up with just a room with a same price, especially when they refuse to help refund the money.
“Uniplaces do not care about their customers”
My experience has been terrible, so far I consider it to be the worst travel platform. I strongly recommend avoiding hiring! Information about properties is sparse and unverified. The platform charges very high fees supposedly for mediation services, but, in practice, landlords can do whatever they want with tenants, placing them in delicate, unsafe, unethical, and illegal situations. Even reporting the problems I have been having with the platform, I am still waiting for some reasonable mediation. Don't use it! Products used:apartment rental Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Useless in case of difficulties”
I have a really bad experience about renting a home in milan by them. The owner refuses to pay me back my deposit. When I informed them, they just sent an email to the owner for more information and the owner even didn't reply them. But they still have the house advertisement on their website. I don't recommend it. Basically, they don't fix your problem if you face any. Products used:Renting a room in Milan, Lorenzo Bartolini Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“This website is a scam”
I booked a room with uniplaces in Madrid which had an ensuite. As soon as I booked i realised the link no longer worked and it took me to a slightly different page that did not have the same bedroom details as I booked. I waited for the contract which arrived 3 days later and realised it did not have the right bedroom details again, so tried to cancel - but it was after 24 hours of booking which is ridiculous as they lied on their website and made me pay for a room that doesn't match the description, so I have lost £1500. Now uniplaces are not responding to me at all, so I would highly recommend avoiding this website at all costs! They are awful I can't believe people exist to be horrible in this world- students, workers and young professionals should avoid too. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Uniplaces does not help you with Landlord trying to steal your initial deposit”
Emailing every single day to the Landlord, reminding them to give back the initial deposit after we left the house 30 days ago, tired to this surreal situation, i told them i would hire a lawyer and sue the landlord. After this day, the landlord gave a lame excuse and return back the money. I contact again Uniplaces to make a review in their site but they said tha after 30 days, reviews are not allowed. That's it, Uniplace is just a lame service sitting in a pile of golden eggs (real state in Portugal) not giving sh*t to their final customers, only the landlords. Do not recommend this tool! Tip for consumers:do not use this service. seems to make easy your life for a while but it just a fee you pay for them. try to look for yourself house. “No refund when everything went wrong”
I had to leave my apartment after six days because it was unsafe (threats from landlord, no electricity, physical violence), and spent a lot of money on airbnbs until I managed to find a new place. I contacted uniplaces and they were very unsympathetic, they clearly didn't care, and didn't get a refund of anything, not the rent, not the deposit, not the €300 service fee I paid to uniplaces to "guarantee my safety at every step" lol what a joke! Service Value Quality
“Avoid this at all costs.”
I did a reservation for an apartment for myself and ended up with a Room... ok, my fault here. I told myself "ok, I'll stay with the room". The demonstrated price was 2k for 80 days... to then, find out that I would have to give a deposit and even pay for the other months. And when I decided to cancel, guess what? You need to have 60 days ahead of the start date to get any refunds, with the exception of their refund... which was an absolute bull$#*! of 750 euros, to do NOTHING. So I'd still have to pay 2900 bucks to stay those 80 days. For the same period, I can get by 1300 on airbnb. I just canceled and accepted the 2k money loss (huge money loss), since they won't reply any attempts of communication. Disgusting service, stay away. Tip for consumers:Nope, just stay away from this bull$#*!. Products used:Room rental Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Scammers! Beaware”
I've booked a room via uniplaces and when I went to move in and i was disappointed to see that the room and the whole place was so filthy so i just walked out and complaint uniplaces about that situation immediately. However they refused to refund or relocate me somewhere! And stole my money (my rent and their fee). They forget that - God does exist! Until how long will they digest that money! “The trusted landlord is not trustable at all”
I rented a room in Milan, Lorenzo Bartolini, by uniplaces and the owner was trustable. At the end she refused to give me back my deposit. I didn't cause any damages or anything. They also didn't help me at all. It's just wasting money. Never trust. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Exchange student in Rome”
Uniplaces nor the landlord don't deserve any stars. Both are unreliable. I don't recomend anyone to use Uniplaces. Everything is fine when things go smoothly but in case of any trouble they always take the landlords site against the contract. The landlord doesn't follow the contract at all and only functions with money. He tries to take advantage of you in any way he can if he earns some extra money. He also blamed me for many things that I didn't do or wasn't correct. And soo many other illegal stuff. Horrible experience!
“You can't trust uniplaces”
I booked a room two or three month before my exchange in Porto on their website. They confirmed that I got the room and two weeks before my flight to Porto they declined my booking. They didn't help me just offered me a discount. So I booked again on their website and they confirmed it. Big mistake... two days before my flight they declined again and I needed to fly to Porto without a room and needed to pay extra money for a Hotel and had to get a more expensive room. They don't check their landlords. You can have luck when you book the room from a good landlord, but when the landlord wants to scam you, uniplaces will do nothing and will even offer the scamy room again on their website... “Never use this website!”
I booked a room that looked nothing like the pictures. The walls were mouldy, the door was broken, the floor was cracked and the kitchen was not as described.I reported the problem to the site within 24 hours of arrival, with pictures to prove it, and the owner admitted the faults but they were not fixed. I didn't stay in a place that was harmful to my health, but I still didn't get my money back. The costumer servise is not helpfull at all they never want to give you compensation. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Thinking of booking with Uniplaces? DON´T”
Don´t trust Uniplaces! I booked what looked like a beautiful, clean little flat with a trusted landlord for 3 months in Porto. When I arrived, I realized the apartment had not been properly cleaned, there were hairs all around the apartment, the "outside area" that they advertised was completely covered in algae (so much so I nearly slipped & fell) and the cherry on top - bed bugs! I contacted Uniplaces within the first 24 hours & was told the complaints I had did not entitle me to cancel my stay & receive my money back. If bed bugs are not enough reason for compensation, I don´t want to imagine what they do consider valid. Avoid them at all costs if you value your health & your money. They refuse to take responsibility & they don´t have any regard for their customers.
“Worst company, unethical and racial practices- pls AVOID at all costs”
One of the worst unethical companies that I have ever dealt with in my 38 years on this planet. I told them that I had a medical emergency and that I needed to cancel - 60 days in advance. I provided solid evidence by a doctor from my country, but it was "invalid". Was this because it was from a middle eastern country? A very racist behavior that's keeping a disgusting taste in my mouth. Uniplaces is trying to scam and until now I have not seen my money back. I will do everything in my power to expose this company to regulators in the UK, the EU and wherever they operate. I will make sure that media cover their unethical practices until this company revisits its consumer laws and hire an ethical committee to help them to stop exploiting people or shut its doors once and for all to keep the public safe. Tip for consumers:Avoid this company. Pay more if needed. They do not have a number to contact them. Their customer service is non-existent. If you want to lose your money and fall into a scam and money trap, deal with them. Products used:I tried to cancel my stay 60 days in advance due to Illness/ future surgery and yet Uniplaces is still refusing to give me back my money. Incredibly exploitative without any ethics or moral compass to abide by. Greedy corporate practices that needs to be stoppped. Service Value Returns Quality
“Uniplaces will steal your money”
$1,183.96 was taken out of my account and everything seemed as though my reservation was going ahead, until the day before I moved, when the host decided to cancel the booking, claiming he hasn't lived there for a year. If I don't get all of my money back, I will go to the UK small claims court.
“Transaction ID: CRS54924083”
Sent the amount of money to their bank as the landlord asked me then they said If your payment is approved within 36 hours, i will receive an email confirming that me payment is approved and they will send the key of the apartment by post to me address but that's dose not happen and its already 2 week after me payment done, i wrote them an email but there's no replay from their side. I know that is my problem cause i found bad reputation of this company on the network but the landlord convinced me that every things will be secured and i believed what the company said about them self on their website Tip for consumers:Do not believe whatever website said about them self always be skeptical even when you read reviews
“Do not book with this platform. They only provide good customer support until you book.”
They only show good customer support until you book with them. After moving to the apartment I found out that the apartment was not as advertised, I contacted them the second day to cancel it but they did not show any support, the 24 hrs guarantee period is not correct. Then, I requested to check out early (after 2 months) but the landlord kept part of the deposit with him, and I have contacted uniplaces then but still they did not help me. “Uniplaces not only tried to steal over 1000 dollars...”
Uniplaces not only tried to steal over 1000 dollars from me, they let the landlady steal half a month's rent because I didn't complain within 24 hours. So if the lady steals money after two weeks, then you're out of luck. Quite horrible experience, not worth the risk.
“Great experience - fast & reliable!”
I had a great experience using Uniplaces to book a place for 6 months. Very quick to find the right place - all the info is online. When I arrived the place was exactly as described. Thank you Uniplaces! Service Value Quality
“Fantastic service”
I used Uniplaces to find my house in France and, at first, I was a bit afraid but once I spoke with Maria everything went smoothly. I got rejected once but Maria sent me an option right away and the second time I was accepted with no problems. Very helpful service when you're far from the city you're moving in. “I had a problem with my landlord and Uniplaces solved the problem.”
I booked a room on Uniplace (ID *******) in September 2021. I paid 843 euros, 650€ corresponding to the first month of rent and 193€ for service fees. I receive a confirmation email saying you are moving on this date, you will have to pay one month deposit and including the details of my landlord. Then, I spoke with the landlord on WhatsApp and he asked me to pay him 2 months' rent up-front to get this room and told me that this wasn't negotiable. I told him that it was not specified in the ad and I would prefer to cancel my booking. He replied to me « There are many things which are not described in the advertising »... So i contacted the Uniplaces « support » by email and via their website it took sometime for them to reply but at the end they solved my problem.
“Recommend”
After I got rejected from the landlord 1 time, I was already scared that I will never see my money back. Well it took 7 working days but I recieved it back. Thanks to Miguel for helping my through the process.
“This is an online platform for international students...”
This is an online platform for international students like me to book and pay for rooms in London directly. It was easy to search for properties around my uni, the payment was secure and I am currently living in the room i paid for. The pictures of the property were a very true and real representation of the room. It is easy to navigate the site and i would recommend it to any student looking for accommodation in london from anypart of the world/

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

- They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
- Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.
For the Black Friday promotion, Surfshark offers 86% off + up to 5 months free to Scam Detector readers. You can get the deal only this week HERE or by clicking the button below.

If you own uniplaces.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").
When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:
* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).
* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).
* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.
We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
