I have had a Kanega watch for years and to begin with it was fantastic. The watch worked great and customer service was incredible. I recommended it to everyone.About a year ago I had to use the warranty service for a watch that turned out to be due to a software error in their database. They kept telling me it was my fault...and after 3 weeks, finally agreed to give me a new watch. The new watch was a piece of junk. The strap wouldn't stay closed (they had changed the style) and kept falling off. The batteries would pop off, their backings would break off, and finally one just hung by a wire after a usual fall off my wrist to the floor (as many as 3 times a day.)Today I discovered a charge on my Visa for the annual subscription. The subscription is in my brother's name and he has always paid for it. I asked for a refund (I had canceled my subscription 3 days prior) and they couldn't do that!!! They had to send me a check. They can debit an account and not credit it? I never heard of such lousy business practices, especially since I should never have been charged in the first place!They have gone from a 6 star to not even rating a one.

Service department was great when l had a problem, they resolved it promptly. I feel much more secure since l have been wearing my Kanega watch. L would recommend it for any senior person living alone.

And the reviews were positive.I began having an issue with the batteries around the middle of October. I was getting an alert to change batteries, even when mine were still about 50% charged. When I had trouble getting my normal time/date display, and the watch wouldn't give me any info at all on the current battery usage, I knew it was time to get in touch with UnaliWear.After a couple of phone calls to the support team, they made a decision to replace my watch - at no charge to me - and even paid for the postage to return my original watch.This type of customer service is what makes a company great. I felt secure wearing the watch, and now I feel more secure knowing that if problems arise, they will be addressed promptly and fairly.

I love my Kanega watch . It's quick to detect a fall or any problematic situation. I do not have a problem pressing the button to let them know that I'm OKA battery came apart in the watch & I couldn't remove it. I called & I was sent a video showing what to do. Then we discussed why the batteries were not lasting 24 hours . He asked me to take pictures of my phone & email them. With in an hour I had a return call telling me that they are sending a new phone & instructions for returning the old one. I would feel lost if I didn't have my Kanega watch on my wrist. It gives me a sense of security .

I find it very difficult to remove batteries. The magnetic band is difficult to attach. I often find the watch falling off snd receiving a notice from you snd it is just a loose band problem I understand the Apple Watch does not need batteries. When I go someplace I need to pack the charger. I just tried to remove a battery and I pulled the whole holder from the watch. I now unable to use the watch. What do you suggest.
Called on 10/14 re battery issue. Told he would check with engineering and would call me back "tomorrow". I still have not received a call back as of 10/18 evening. Hove soled issue by changing batteries twice a day.I would suggest that staff follow through as promised.
I love my Unaliwear watch! I have had 3 bracelets because they kept falling off. Costumer service went above & beyond to help me! I now have one that is great!! I would highly recommend this watch for anyone who lives alone & has a risk of falling! Great company to work with!
The watch functions well, and the one time I've talked to Support the rep was friendly. The reason I have not given this watch a better rating is the batteries. One of the batteries I received would not take a full charge, and I found I had to change batteries nearly every 12 hours. At the time of my call I asked the rep for a replacement, but did not get it. Instead she asked for pics of the contacts, etc but saw nothing wrong. I have now ordered a new one, paying out of pocket.
Overall, I am very happy with my experience. There are only two less than positive comments that I can make. The first is that my phone indicates a fall, even for such things as pushing hard on a knife to cut something or shaking a bottle in the kitchen. The second is that the two times I have tried to call Fred Astair, neither for an emergency, I was put on hold for a lengthy time before an operator came on the phone. I do appreciate being reminded to take my pills. I also appreciate that I am able to wear my phone in the shower.
