tripadviser.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives tripadviser.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 89.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 89.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to tripadviser.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning tripadviser.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between tripadviser.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of tripadviser.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of tripadviser.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. tripadviser.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether tripadviser.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether tripadviser.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, tripadviser.com.

Want to thank Elise from Elba sunset Mallorca …. For your kindness & wonderful hospitality… what a beautiful hotel with friendly staff we will certainly be back to see you all Michelle & Michael
Just wanted to write a review of this hotel some bad points some excellent.Get the bad out of the way very rude woman on guest relations no help whatsoever. Some of the people on the front desk not that helpful.Safe in room failed to open twice hotel took time to act.The good rest of people at hotel and I mean all cleaners pool guys restaurant staff people in the hotel shops truly excellent. So good in fact that we are looking at next year.Thank you all for a wonderful time see you next year x.
It's my first time ever in the Netherlands and I must say I did not regret one bit the thrilling experience I had. I came to the Hague with 9 students for the STEM Olympiad Grand Finals. We stayed at the Marriott Hotel for 6 nights and I must say I did not for once regret the room, the view and the calm atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and supportive to first timers like me.Tanisha was actually very nice and warm to speak to. I highly recommend Marriott Hotel to all visitors and traveller's.
Today I received an email saying a review I had given was being removed due to new management . I was curious and looked up the review. Well it’s still there with just two reviews on there both saying excellent 5 star reviews- FROM 2021!!! But what strikes me are the two reviews have the same photo as the contributor! 😂 What complete manipulation of reviews.I had trusted Tripadvisor in the past but now I know it’s absolute rubbish.Btw the review is for the hut bar and grill at Madeira beach Florida.A very amateur attempt at manipulation! I won’t trust trip adviser ever again
I do find Trip Adviser a very useful site to obtain insight into places I wish to visit. However my purpose today is to point out that they are supporting Ukraine and offering to match donations. Thank you Trip Advisor
An excellent website. I like posting my experience on it. every time I go out travelling, I will use it for searching foods or interesting places! it really helps a lot!
Brought car from sparahatts hedge end. Chris the sales guy was great and worked with our budget. Picked car up on the day we agreed paperwork was all ready to great service will definitely return
e quads were not the best condition that I have seen in Egypt. Secondly the guy who was taking us on the excursion was very rude. He shouted at my partner and said we were allowed no fun!!Furthermore to this we were only on the quads for 15 minutes and we were then left standing around for 35 minutes while the guide asked for people's camera so he could take photos to try get money out of them. Then it gets worse!!! Finally get back on the quads looking forward to it but then only to be riding 5 minutes to stop again!!! Was put in this dirty tent and men came over trying to get even more money out of us. Offering drinks & sculptures and camel rides. We was left here another 35 minutes. Then eventually got back on the biked to drive back to base?Really confused how you advertise 2 hours of quads when it's more of a scam to get money out of you.Stay clear use other company's. Sinai excursions or falcon 100%
I received a booking request but had to decline it. After informing the guest that my apartment was unavailable, I mistakenly pressed accept on my phone and money was instantly taken from the guests account. Tripadvisor are impossible to contact so I cancelled the booking but was sent an invoice for £120! Rather than the guest being out of pocket, I paid the money. This is disgusting profiteering because of an innocent mistake. I would advise any owner to tread carefully with this grasping company. I will not be using them again
They obviously don’t vet the reviews as the hotel I stayed in the don valley hotel Sheffield has a four star excellent. Their pub customers are obviously writing good review to cover the retro true reviews . I booked because of the reviews which were untrue and list £180 as the bed was so terrible we didn’t stay . Now fighting to get refund
Do not post reviews on these cowboy website. I am now convinced they are in the pocket of many hotels, restaurant chains and leisure sites where I believe they are paid money to filter the reviews. I have over 500 reviews with this mob and it would be over 600 if these cheats didn’t filter out poor reviews. There is no other conclusion .. this makes them money grabbing cheats. At least trust Pilot follows its integrity. So the next time you may post a review about some awful hotel or restaurant note one thing, if it doesn’t fit the Trip Advisor criteria agreed with those who pay them, it won’t get published. They are a disgrace
As a supplier on viator I don’t advise anyone to carry on it and if you are a Clint also don’t use it because your tour will be cancel without reason I use to work with viator from 2019 back then was a very trusted company but now it’s not they have deactivated my account with no mention reason ignore to reply to my emails even if I’m not the mean ones as they do it by mistake two times losing for existing booking and future booking was more than 30.000$ they broke their won rules as they should tell the reason but they never did it’s just happens in one day also even if you have done a tour for a Clint which you don’t get paid directly the Clint could ask their bank to not claim the payment for a TripAdvisor or viator they will send you email tell you that it will take 75 days to check it out but the actually time is maybe 12 weeks be safe and build your own website work with Google things to do avoid viator and TripAdvisor no mention for the high fees they charge now at the moment
Used to book activities on a trip to Belgium. They were cancelled last minute. Staff were rude and unhelpful and we didn't even receive a full refundAVOID
The management of a campsite carefully manage reviews and object to Tripadvisor the ones they do not like. They always get their way because they have a legal team. Tripadvisor will always defer to the business. Consequently I'm asked to trust Tripadvisor doing "business" with businesses who are heavily into deceit and censoring any complaints. NOT to be trusted!!
As a Business owner, TripAdvisor is by far the worst company out there. We have a average review on our page that is clearly ment for a Restaurant 2km from us. The review states they had Fillet Steak and Trout. We do not serve those dishes. As TripAdvisor to correct this and was told they are happy it's correct. They clearly Did Not look at my page and menu to confirm this. It's about time TripAdvisor was monitored or research disputes professionally. Diabolical Company.
Absolutely appalled by my "stay" at Iris Hotel Llandudno, we were unable to even stay in the hotel room because of the horrible stench that was coming from the drains! The poor receptionist tried to clean it with some bleach, but the smell would simply not go away, the carpets were filthy the beds were dirty, there was mould and grime all up the walls. The manager was nowhere in sight and since leaving the property because we was unable to stay we contacted the hotel in regards to a refund 0 response 0 care and compassion at the fact that we were unable to even stay at the property! we just paid a substantial amount for what it was avoid like the plague!!
I booked 3 event for Branson MO. Tripadvisor took my money, and sent me ticket vouchers to redeem at the door of these events. So I show up to redeem my vouchers and all 3 events were closed due to Covid-19.I went to cancel my tickets and Tripadvisor stated that since it was less than 24 hours before the event I would get NO refund. How can I use a ticket that I paid for, if the event has been cancelled?Tripadvisor is running a SCAM!!!
We have reported to tripadviser a false review posted by the resort itself on our tripadviser account, which is very worrying. We recieved a responce from tripadviser who claim that there is nothing amiss with the review and it will not removed it as we requested. We are convinced tripadviser are allowing these false reviews to be posted on there site its disgraceful, this implies that tripadviser have no morals what so ever and are basically complicit in these false reviews that appear on there site with there full blessing it would seem..
Tripadvisor Customer Care No 8388907932. Any payment related enquiry
AVOID After paying £200 / 40% deposit to Trip Adviser for holiday apartment it turned out property wasn't available at all. It took over 4 weeks, 20+ emails, & several phone calls repeatedly asking for return of deposit before they even started refund process and this despite having 1 message from property manager and 2 messages from T/A's own help centre stating that property not available. Help centre polite but totally useless. Overall, customer service absolutely pathetic.

“NAVTEC EXPEDITIONS Not trustworthy”

Navtec Expedtions advertises on Trip advisor. They have a web page but have to access it thru Trip Advisor It was September and I am still mad. Book an off road trip with Navtec for $182. Paid for with credit card. This was 6 weeks in advance. Called 4 days before scheduled off road trip as directed to verify. It was verified. Got to Moab, Utah. As we were looking around our first day saw the guide company so stopped in the see if we needed water or anything for the 6 AM trip... A bearded guy who said he was manager said no and asked my name to look up paid for expedition. It was then he stated you know it is 4 person minimum so I can't take you and wife unless to pay something like $100 more. I said WTF! Nobody told me that... his response "not his problem". I asked to speak to someone else and he said he was "the man" and there was nothing he could do. Well he got loud and I got louder. He refused refund stated I booked on line so it is "not his problem" to give refund I would have to go on line. I have never dealt with anyone so rude. I did get my refund but I will tell you. AVOID NAVTEC. There are many guides in Moab, Utah and I suggest do NOT book in advance wait and book when you are there. Lot of good, honest guides but NAVTEC is NOT one of them

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Protect Your Online Browsing From Installing Malware

After testing several fraud prevention products online, we could certainly say the winner is a browser extension called Guardio. It automatically blocks 100x more harmful websites than competitors and 10x more malicious downloads than any other security tool. It was tested and vetted by our Scam Detector team.

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
