travelup.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives travelup.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 77.5. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Standard. Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 77.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to travelup.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning travelup.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between travelup.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of travelup.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of travelup.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. travelup.com is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether travelup.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether travelup.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, travelup.com.

I had excellent booking experience however the actual price was up by £100 while making a payment. I was still happy as I was able to book the ticket without any issue. The overall booking process and payment was quick enough. I have done couple of bookings previously through TravelUp so I trust TravelUp and recommend others.- Sachin D.
I have been booking with Travel up for appx 15 years. I always had good prices and excellent customer service from travel up staff. I will again when travelling in the future.Thank you.Gurjit Gill
Shamas Nadeem was amazing in sorting out our trip after the airline (Lufthansa) cancelled a leg of our anniversary business class trip! Offered us a better option (faster) than our original booking and was really helpful, responsive and efficient throughout! I have used travel up before and following Shamas’ interventions they will be my go to place in the future. We’d give 6 stars if we could! Thanks so much. Please don’t ever leave!
Booking and transferring money was easy, I hope condition on the ticket remain the same until the journey is over
Good price for the flights and easy booking process although I would have liked to have been able to select seats while booking

Ease of booking. Less typing and tick offs. Great experience. Thank you.
Booked Manchester to JFK Business and saved £450 on the price. Very simple, everything worked and I couldn't give any better review, well done Travel Up and Aer Lingus!
website kept crashing every time I put in the promo code - eventually had to proceed without using it
I purchased a flight ticket from TravelUp because it was £20 cheaper than booking directly through the airline. Worst purchase I’ve ever made. When the airline cancelled the flight, they informed me I was eligible for a refund but needed to request it through my travel agent. An airline would usually give a full refund in this case. TravelUp’s website has a refund form that simply sends them an email. I waited five days for a response, only to be told my tickets were non-refundable. I called TravelUp’s customer service, enduring long waits and multiple dropped calls. Eventually, they promised to email me, but instead, I received repeated reminders about my non-existent flight. After finally speaking to someone, I was told my flight was indeed cancelled, and I could receive a partial refund, minus their booking fee (£45) and an additional processing fee of £50 if I wanted cash instead of a voucher. I asked where in the terms and conditions were these fees spelled out (especially the extra £50) and I never received a clear response. I found it incredibly frustrating that when I paid them, "processing" the payment was done online, quickly, easily and free-of-charge, but when it was their turn to pay me they needed to charge me extra. I nonetheless went for a cash refund, preferring to lose money than endure more of TravelUp nonsense. Despite being told the refund would take 4–5 days, it didn’t arrive until I chased them two months later.TravelUp’s ineptitude is staggering. The £20 I initially saved cost me far more in time, stress, and hidden fees. I will never use their services again and strongly urge others to avoid them. Just book directly with airlines or hotels—it’s not worth the risk. This is the last time I give them any more of my time in the hopes that I will save some other poor soul.TL;DR: TravelUp might be fine if nothing goes wrong (I don't know), but if anything does go wrong, prepare for poor communication, hidden fees, and endless frustration. If you value your time and money, avoid this terrible agent.
Website worked perfectly - no random re-directs, and limited attempts to tack on add-on fees.
I'd give it zero stars if I could. My parents are unable to travel due to a family member diagnosed with a terminal illness. We have been told by BA that we are entitled to the refund given the circumstances and the agent (TravelUp) should be able to process this given we provide all the relevant documentation. We provided all the relevant documentation, for TravelUp to say they cannot provide a refund. Firstly, what are you doing with all the sensitive data shared, and why ask for it, to say no. Secondly, a person working at the company said "stop wasting my time" and was extremely rude, this is such a traumatic time for our family, and this is the last thing we needed. All we want is a refund, and we'll gladly rebook as and when possible, however at this rate, would not recommend this company to anyone, absolute scam. Extremely rude, unhelpful and have stolen our money.
much easier to process the flights and payment than going directly through BA. painless!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  4. Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.
