We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 74.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to timsons.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning timsons.co.uk, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between timsons.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of timsons.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of timsons.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. timsons.co.uk is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether timsons.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

Went in to get new replacement soles for a pair of leather boots at a Timpsons concession in Morrisons Dumbarton The employee took two seconds to look at the soles and then quoted £50 for them. Felt like asking him if he was having a laugh!! Honestly where do they get those prices from? Needless to say I declined. He did wish me a good day so brownie points for manners but come on….. get real!! How on earth can a couple of soles cost £50??
I know, I know! I should have known better. I took a pair of LK Bennet shoes into Timpson situated next to Sainsbury’s The Willows Torquay. I asked for the shoes to be resoled (the soles are leather). When I went to collect them they’d placed a black plastic coving over the original leather sole. Not what I’d asked for. The man who served me was indignant to say the least when I said it was not what I’d asked for. Went in a week later and the man who’d originally served me stated it was what I’d asked for. I most certainly didn’t. When checking the shoes the new leather sole was badly applied, and just glued over the existing sole (not what I’d asked for) . The male was rude and obnoxious. I pointed out that they’d got paint on the sole and had also the thing they’d stuck onto the shoes was rough and obviously not finished properly. As we left, he stood there glaring at us, trying to intimidate us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I’m too scared to go back and get my shoes because of their aggressive attitude.
After a 12 week wait for a quote to repair my watch-strap and a visit by my wife to enquire after progress, I had received no quote. When I telephoned I was told the repair to the strap would cost just under £4,000, Yes, four thousand pounds!!! I was told the watch would be returned to the shop and I would be informed. After a further two weeks I have still not heard. What kind of service is this?
utterly disgusted with the service I received at Timpson's recently. I took my watch in on 30/10/2024 for a simple buckle replacement, a task I assumed would be straightforward and swift. From the outset, I was given inaccurate estimates of when my watch would be ready. Despite repeated assurances and promises, the repair was constantly delayed. Each time I followed up, I was met with the same excuse: "We're still waiting for the order." It felt like I was constantly chasing them, rather than them proactively keeping me informed. To make matters worse, an employee named Chris displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. He repeatedly fobbed me off, promising to call me back with updates but never did. This blatant disregard for customer service is unacceptable.Overall, my experience with this Timpson branch was nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of false promises, constant delays, and unprofessional behavior has left me incredibly frustrated. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to think twice and avoid this branch altogether.
My wife paid £29 for them to replace a fob battery totally ripped off .. I bought 5 for £3.49 from Amazon
Wouldn't cut a key because it wasn't supplied by them,..even though the were out of stock. Won't be returning !
Had problems with nissan Duke key. Tried nissans(Acaster) Eltham se9 branch and told me 200 pds minimum and 10 day wait. Went to Timsons at Crayford shopping centre and the man sorted problem in 5 mins! Absolutely top notch service!!
Really poor quality keys from Stamford Timpsons. Four done. None work. Have receipt so will take back for full refund. Cutting felt slapdash - quite obviously not a good key match. Uncomfortable even putting in my door. Plus very pricey.
Went to my local Timpsons for replacement batteries for my car key fobs. Including fitting the two batteries cost £22.42. Staggering. Where does Timpsons get their pricing from? Will shop around next time and use an independent.
Too much disappointing behaviour of key cutting lady beside morrisons (Timson store hagley road birmingham ) .I paid £15 for 2 key and its not working , i asked her just to check even she is not listening to customer ??? Just shouting and said go any other store. Why? I paid just check it. But she didnot.I will change the lock or finding anyother solution but she had very harsh behaviour
Timpsons adjusted the bracelet on my Seiko watch, an hour later the watch fell off my wrist as the bracelet had been adjusted incorrectly and the pins fell out. As the pin collars were removed and not returned to me I have had to return this brand new watch to Seiko for repair. I contacted Timpsons customer service but had no response. Will likely need to pursue this in the small claims court.
said before timsons over priced but today paid 25 quid for 4 pretty standard door keys at tesco high woods colchester aman in shop had been quoted £9.50 to take links from watch told the guy branch in colchester charge £7.50 the reply was go there then this is not a franchise i charge as i like as i am the manager over priced rude poor customer relations i wish b&q still did keys timsons seem to have the monopoly since discovered b&q restarted key cutting these keys would have been around £10 -15
Terrible. Ordered something for my son's birthday which I needed today. It just didn't arrive, and when I eventually got through to customer service they said it hadn't even been sent, because of staff shortages. If they'd let me know I could have got something sorted elsewhere, but it's now too late. Rubbish.
Just needed a battery changed in my watch went to Goldsmiths where I bought it from quoted me 8 WEEKS to change a battery complete jokers! Saw the Timpson's branch in Bluewater and asked how long, 30 MINUTES they told me with a smile, left it with them and sure enough ready on time with a life time guarantee cheaper than Goldsmiths quoted for their poor service. Well done guys, keep up the smiles and service it's spot on!
Mick at Timpson Clifton Down is a true gem! His friendly and exceptional problem-solving skills made my recent experience a complete turnaround. After a disappointing visit to another Timpson location in Cribbs Causeway, Mick went above and beyond to resolve my issue. His kindness and professionalism are a testament to the positive impact employees can have on a business. Thanks, Mick!
I have shopped at Beaumont Leys Timpson for 5 years. Paul who is usually working on the days I go in is an absolute credit to the company. His customer service skills are second to none. He always looks smart. The knowledge he has on everything that Timpson’s do is extraordinary from key cutting, iPhone repairs, clothes, shoes, you name it he knows about it. He is always friendly and confident in his work. The specialist help and care given by Paul is the reason I shop at Timpson’s and will continue to. Thanks Paul and that is why you earn the name Mr Timpson, you are an absolute credit to the company. Keep up the good work
The member off staff that was there on Saturday 10/08/24 was extremely rude, could barely look up from eating her yogurt to serve me. When she did eventually speak she was rude with a bad attitude.
I visit Timmons at Morrison’s totton. The cleaning is magnificent. My bedspreads sparkle and come back in very handy bags which I can reuse for so many things. Recently they have had an addition in the car park if jet cutting shoe repairs and at repairs. The gentleman is just amazing g. He’s so friendly. Very knowledgable and so proud to work for Timsons. I highly recommend Timsons. Pleasure to visit.
I had a casio baby G battery replaced. It then fogged up in the shower (not even in a bath). It wpuld appear that it was not resealed properly after the battery was replaced. I have now been without a watch for 3 weeks as the shop had to send it to their service centre - in what world will a digital watch that has been exposed to condensation due to ill fitting seal work properly. I have so far not even been offered the cost of the replacement battery, for which I foolishly added lifetime guarantee. I am really angry at the service.I have not heard anything from them yetregarding wither its condition or any next steps if it is broken.
Excellent service at Timsons (Morrisons, Horndean). Took in leather flip-flops to have one sole re-stuck. chap called Warwick did the job, but it wasn't 100% perfect, as far as he was concerned - he wouldn't charge me even though I insisted - How's that for great, honest service. Thank you

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
