Is timbersource.co.uk Legit?

Ordered boards for express delivery. Followed up when didn't arrive and had some small board jointed - ok jointing, I'm guessing not used dominos, just glued up, some v. small gap, that I can live with.PAR boards though, I'd have expected to be flat - no cupping. Maybe that is unrealistic, not sure if you have to specify that the timber will be used for furniture. Will need to get the plane out.re: the cupping, not sure if the wood is kiln dried, but will require more work than I expected - which was basically pay for the timber so I could glue up a desk top. Maybe unrealistic, but painful when cupping means wood isn't at a point where I can just glue up right away. Edit - Just to clarify, I think the above sounds harsher than I intended. The boards were fine, I think the above sounds worse than I intended, it was a fine. It wasn't as if the boards were a semi circle :) It was a few minutes with an electric sander...

Pick up my timber less than 24 hours after placing order. When I arrived it was all ready and waiting and exactly what I had asked for. Good quality boards and the Timbersource team helped load it into my vehicle - which wasn’t easy as I had underestimated the length !

Really helpful and considerate staff. I went there wanting to buy some off cuts for a small project, and was given some free pieces of White Ash and American Oak as they had stopped selling small off cuts. They couldn't have been friendlier.

We ordered a cut version of its standard hardwood boards and they arrived exactly on time, undamaged and cut perfectly correctly. The price was very reasonable. What more can you want? Highly Recommended .

The colour of the wood was just right for making the top of my kitchen table. I was disappointed however that there were gaps between some of the planks when put together. With superior saws, I would have thought this would not happen. I will have to try and put this right before construction.

I've now used Timbersource's wood2size.com service twice. Both times the wood was cut really accurately in every dimension. In my case I was getting pine battens made. Price is very competitive with delivery included, and delivery itself is very fast. When I needed to query an order, customer service on the phone was great too. Will be using again for sure!

I purchased a really rather small piece of timber from Timbersource and was concerned about how they could send it through the post without being damaged.The item was so well packaged it arrived undamaged. There was no delay between my order and the delivery.I had not shopped with them before but did so because I was unable to find an outlet who stocked the species of timber I required. I'm always nervous when ordering online from a company for the first time, but I needn't have been.I placed my order on Thursday 3rd October 2024, scheduling it to arrive on Monday 7th October 2024.My order arrived on-time (via DX), very well packaged/protected, with high quality workmanship, and the dimensions were spot on!I ordered 4x pieces of "Pine, Redwood, Scandinavian, Kiln Dried, Unsorted grade PAR - Planed All Round", in two different sizes. As I no longer have access to tools to cut and plane wood to size, I relied on Timbersource to do this for me. Timbersource and Thomas in particular were brilliant at helping me with an unusual, bespoke request for cupboards for our bathroom cabinet. Thomas clearly advised on the best wood for the project, suggeting iroko over teak due to it's durability and quality finish rather than plantation teak. Not everything i ordered was in stock, which happens, but the company phone me to advise and gave me options, rather than just email like most companies do.My solution was to get them to send me a wood of their choice in place of cherry after I explained what I wanted it for.They were really helpful and human, which is rare at the moment.

Excellent service have used this company a few times now and will continue to do so. Sent an enquiry on the last order and they got straight back to me with the answer. Also from order to delivery was very prompt.

Faster delivery than expected but the piece of timber had a considerable bow in it. Just as well thar I'm cutting it down to 200mm pieces!
