We benefited from 3 different carers during an unexpectedly difficult post-op period of disability and illness where things were hard to predict day by day. All 3 were good, capable, kind people. When one of them was not a good fit for the circumstance an early replacement was handled swiftly and kindly. Good care was taken to support both us and the carers, so although it was relatively expensive there was added value compared to direct employment. The only difficulty really was understanding the contractual framework and having to make decisions further ahead than we were really able to. But overall very glad we placed our trust in The Good Care Group.

Horrible place to work for!!! People please be aware don't apply to work for or don't be their client!!! OMG the worst thing happened to me working for this company!!! When you do the traning they're promising you so many things but never ever delivered! Lies lies lies all the time and covering up for each other! I did the whistleblowing about the neglect and lack of effort from the CM and they said: "You won't be continuing to work for us"... I was so happy hiring these words because it was pure torture to work for them! Where do I start people: I'll say that the only thing nice were the foreign ladies (just like me) who answer the phone in London office, always polite, helpful and kind and that's it. Nothing else or no one else!The Care Manager did so many mistakes with me, neglected me, totally disregarded me and my excellent work giving me lower scores on my review. I have asked for help with my work, constantly sending me cold hard emails instead of calling ones and ask if I need help, like a human being to human being! So when i complained to the National Manager, it was covered up, so that CM got help instead of me... Yes people, this is what happens when you're a foreigner and nobody in this country!I was new in the country (Scotland) new in the company and new to the client's system they had, and no one helped me with it, I was ignored and accused of giving a false information and not knowing the system!! YES i was new and didn't know a lot and I needed explaining and little human interaction, but instead I was thrown in the deep water and they've expected me to swim immediately without making mistakes and help from them!!!The family of the client was horrible to me, terrorised me in and lied about me and the things they've done to me, AND of course and the company took the family side because they pay good money to TGCG, yes I was disregarded and ignored and let go!!!They've abused their power to cover for each other mistakes!Organisational abuse people! Waste of time with this fake company 😔Awful experience overall, period!

We've been using GCG for over a year now to help care for my mother who lives in the Scottish Highlands. Carers have been kind, attentive and professional.Special mention should go to care managers Nyree, and Eilidh who have been superb. The various challenges that have occurred during the past year have been dealt with sensitively, quickly, and professionally.

We co-worked with THE GOOD CARE GROUP, when one of our clients needed more support towards the end of her life. We are a small community Care Company and did not have the capacity to put in a living in carer so we contacted The Good Care Group and had a very experienced, kind and supportive carer , perfectly matched to our client. Our carers still went in to support our client but we were very happy to have someone there all the time, right to the end.This enabled us to fulfil our clients wishes of dying in her own home.

Very thoughtful kind carers who have been with my mother in law for three years now. They provide home cooked food very day, with plenty of variety and patiently help her with feeding and personal care.Care manager has always been available even at weekends and emergency cover always provided despite challenging conditions. When circumstances difficult, we have been.able to talk through options. Care plan detailed and accessible to me.

The company is doing well from my point of view because I have an excellent care manager in place. She works hard to keep an eye on what is going on, is fair, helpful understanding and always ready to take on board and act on negative feedback if given. Her proactive involvement helps my job as health and welfare deputy run smoothly.

We'd tried another 24/7 company without joy. Good Care were recommended to us. They are very professional and our local manager Sylvia worked hard to understand both the needs and personality of our mother. They were responsive to our feedback and to mum's needs. After a short period our care team settled and this facilitated her living comfortably at her home.The Good Care team importantly thereon in supported our mum and us siblings until her death at home. I cannot speak more highly about Good Care Group.

From the moment I contacted the Good Care Group to the moment the carer walked in the door my sister and I were welcomed and steered through the process of finding the right live -in carer for our mum. All the staff, Ulrike, Elaine and Veronica, kept us informed and made the procedures easy. Mum is now secure and happy with the gentle caring of Rut. I cannot praise the team enough and look forward to mums review.

The present carers for my sister are excellent but we have experienced three instances where the Care was anything but satisfactory. In fact it resulted in a hospital stay for my sister. Communication is usually very good from the office.Expense is quite high and could become a problem.

Our daughter has two live-in carers who alternate. They are both highly capable, professional and fun, and she feels secure. They have a lot of responsibility, as we, her next-of-kin, live some distance away.TGCG answers any issues we may raise promptly and efficiently, and we are now confident, after a few inevitable early hiccups, that we work very well as a team. We are immensely grateful for all they do.

We contacted The Good Care Group in order to arrange respite care for my mother for a two week period. She was initially reluctant to have anyone living with her but as soon as she met our carer, Wafa, she was reassured and quickly settled into the new routine. Wafa was wonderful - kind, intuitive, sensitive and a brilliant cook. We couldn't have found a better person to support my mother.

I recently had a live-in carer for my husband so I could take a much needed week of respite. I have used The Good Care Group now on 3 occasions and it has been very professional in setting up the care plan and providing experienced carers to keep him relaxed and happy in his daily routine. He no longer has speech, but his smiles for the carer said it all.

The Good Care Group manages the quality of the care and also pays particular attention to the appropriateness of the carer for the particular situation.If you have a loved one who needs care there is nothing more satisfying than knowing they are getting the best.Another big advantage is the patient being able to stay at home which is worth a lot to them.The above is based on three years' experience!

Carole looked after my elderly mother on a visit to my house - her first trip out of her care home since the start of lockdown. Without Carole it would not have been possible. Unfortunately we all, including my mother and Carole contracted Covid, which made the whole thing a bit tricky. Carole was absolutely outstanding - patient, uncomplaining, attentive, kind, immensely competent and totally on top of her brief. It could have been a bit of a disaster, but we had a good visit. Thank you Carole.

My aunt was looked after for several years by two live-in carers who were with her for two week blocks at a time. She received fantastic care from them and very strong bonds grew between her and her carers. The management team were also good at keeping in touch and reviewing any changes in my aunt's requirements. No hesitation in recommending them.

The Good Care Group I cannot find fault with the care this company gives my father. The carers all know their job, especially as great efforts are taken to ascertain what my father likes or dislikes. Communication between the carers and the managers is comprehensive and constantly updated. Considerate, professional & hard working are words that come to mind to describe all members of the team I have had dealings with. Most certainly works for us.

To add to my earlier review, the carers are excellent, highly motivated and well supported by their employer. They keep house well, cook well and look after my father well. During Covid lockdown one pair of carers worked a 4-month stint without a day off, which helped to protect my father, their colleagues and themselves.

Although expensive, the care given is excellent.My father lost his wife of 73 years on New Years Eve 2019, he also suffers with dementia. TGCG were able to come and meet him, select carers and start within two weeks. They also made sure that I was closely involved with the selection process. I had had several bad experiences with private individuals and companies, who promised great care and failed miserably! I was anxious and afraid of leaving my father with strangers, but the two amazing ladies that were selected have both put so much effort in to making sure that my dad feels safe and happy that I also feel happy.Would recommend TGCG highly.

Excellent carers who are well trained, kind and caring. Care is expensive but the quality of care means that as a relative one has peace of mind and the knowledge that if a carer is ill or on holiday cover will be provided. The cover carers have also been good. Sometimes communication from the office is not a speedy as one might like but this is a relatively small matter.
