Is the-foldie.co.uk Legit?

Still waiting over a week since I ordered to receive the item. I would expect to receive the item with 5 business days. Have now received shipping notification from ChinaAppalled as this company promote climate friendly delivery dispatch. Very surprised that the item is dispatched from China and not held in stock in the UK. You are not advised of this on ordering. I would not have ordered had this fact been clearly communicated on the website. Feels like company has over marketed the item and cannot keep up with demand. Item if it ever arrives will be way too late as it was a gift and the person is now overseas travelling without the foldie. I’m sure she will survive without one, like the rest of us have.

I placed my order over a week ago and still haven’t received the item. I expected it to arrive within five business days, but I only just got a shipping notice—and it’s coming from China. No mention of this on the website anywhere. Seems like a dropshipping SCAMIt’s really disappointing that the item isn’t stocked in the UK, and there’s no mention of this when you place the order. If I had known, I would never have made the purchase. By the time the item eventually arrives (if it comes at all, which I doubt), it will be far too late. I have contacted them multiple times, all thr response I get is “ We apologize for the inconvenience! Unfortunately, we are experiencing some issues with the shipping.”Very dishonest practices!

I purchased 2 crossover bags on the BOGOF offer. I intended to keep one for myself and give one as a birthday gift. I was surprised to find they were shipped from China which took 2 weeks. I had however left enough time before her birthday.Upon arrival the birthday gift crossover bag was damaged. Stitching on the strap was not completed and the bag was unusable. I emailed foldieuk and sent photos of the damage. They replied the same day and were very apologetic. They reordered the bag. The replacement bag arrived today, a week and a half later, in good condition. Thankfully still in time for her Birthday. I found the UK branch of Foldie very helpful in sorting out my problem. Everything they tell you don't believe,I placed a order 9 days ago,bank shows payment taken,no acknowledgement of order just notifications saying I need to complete my order.I completed it and you got my money.Website says E Mail us with any concerns or questions and we will respond within 12 hours,not a word from them I have E Mailed twice,no response.Avoid them like the plague absolutely useless company.on Foldie website it says 4.8 out of 5 reviews REALLY LOL.

Very surprised at the bad reviews. I ordered 3 Foldie crossbody bags in different colours (2 were BOGOF and the third was offered at under half price at checkout). Ordered on September 4th 2024 and delivered on September 13th and I followed progress via tracking. I don’t have an issue with them coming from China. And the BOGOF promotion seems to be an ongoing advertising thing, much like other sellers use on social media. Anyway, the bags are lovely quality, just the right size for my needs, perfect for everyday use and I’m delighted with them!

Well I think I will be joining others. It is an absolute minefield out there now when buying products and although mine hasn't arrived I don't think it will be any good when it does. I haven't received an email or anything so can't even cancel order. Morale of story check reviews before purchasing!

I read all the negative reviews AFTER ordering my Foldie cross over bags x 2, and thought I'd never see the bags or my money again!!! Wrong.I love my bags! They arrived within a week of ordering. They are good quality, thick waterproof material (or certainly very shower proof) and a great size for money/wallet and phone and other small bits. I bought the BOGOF deal in fawn and black and really very pleased with them. I like to be hands free when walking the dog, and will definitely be using these for travelling. Excellent customer service also, I emailed to ask for a receipt/invoice and had an almost immediate reply from a very polite 'real person' at the other end. Couldn't fault the service and I feel bad for The Foldie that they've had such negative reviews on here. Perhaps they have upped their game recently, but I can vouch for them as of September 2024. I would buy again.

Cross shoulder bag is too small to hold essentials ie, phone,purse,glasses,car keys without it bulging about. The offer of buy one get one free always says "ending soon". This is rubbish. I kinda rushed order because of this and yet it's still on offer. Do not pay 39.99 for one bag whatever. There are better items on Amazon at much better price. Finally,it came late for a birthday present and is shipped all the way from china which isn't clear on the UK website

My order came, but there was a product fault on one of the cross body bags ( the zipper closing was at the opposite end to the security clasp so could not be securely closed). I have tried to contact Foldie (over 7 emails) but no response. So despite promises of returns etc on the advertising there is no answer to an issue.

I am seriously unhappy with this company. I have been looking for good bum/chest bag to keep my belongings save when travelling and honestly, didn’t have a clue that it will be made and shipped from China as it doesn’t say it! When bag came I immediately knew it is useless as it is weird shape and actually not secure at all as when you want to open the zip, your stuff will be falling out. I have contacted the company and asked for address where to send it back and money back.To my surprise I was told I can have just 50% of it back and keep bag. I didn’t agree as bag is useless. Just received another email when I was strictly told that only 50% can be refund as they care about environment? What the hell?Literally this company is scamming !

I bought the cross body bag on buy one get one free. The offer says will finish that day but never does. What the website doesn’t say it will ship from China and take some time to arrive. Upon eventually getting my bags my first impression is that it is a lot smaller than it shows on their video and certainly could not fit a packet of biscuits along with everything else as shown. The quality of the material is ok but I wouldn’t say it is any better than other brands. I have another brand and it is far more stylish and of better quality. Would I say they are worth the price. At the supposedly original price definitely not. I suspect the buy one get one free will always be on and it’s a ploy to suck you in. Would I buy one at half the cost. Now I have it probably not. If you don’t have a bag like this then maybe give it a go but do your research there are better and cheaper similar bags out there.

Having read the previous reviews i am in exactly in the same boat. I purchased 2 foldie bags, BOGO, after a few days i received an email giving me tracking details, to my horror i realised my order was coming from China, obviously is was too late to cancel, the order arrived, i've not even opened the package, i emailed Foldie saying i didn't want the bags and asked for a label to return the goods, the following midnight i received a very informal email saying i can keep the order and get a 50% refund, i replied no thanks, i want 100% and a return label, i object to be addressed by my christian name, i am a customer and should be addressed accordingly, MR, MS or just the person's full name , warmest regards REALLY !!!, i made this abundantly clear in my numerous replies. Anyways 100% refund, don't want the bags, happy to take them to the charity shop? Foldie say 50% is all they'll do and they don't do returns to the UK. The website is total blx, it clearly states EASY RETURNS. I've noticed that FOLDIE UK have not responded to any TrustPilot reviews, yet FOLDIE USA reviews have all been acknowledged.My advice is do not buy FOLDIE BAGS if you live in the UK.JUST AN UPDATE, I'VE JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM FOLDIE, THEY HAVE NOW ISSUED A FULL REFUND.. I ALSO LEFT A REVIEW ON THE USA FOLDIE 🇺🇸 DETAILING THE WAY UK CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED. MAYBE THIS HELPED MY REFUND?

I also fell for their adverts the bags look cheap not at all sturdy like they advertise they look like cheap tack that I could buy from any online Chinese site & they took 2 weeks to arrive, so not coming from uk & little or no customer services help.

I fell for an advert on Instagram for these bags (Foldie Crossbody Bag) so decided to give them a go. It was a ‘buy one get one free’ offer. They took 2 weeks to arrive, from China, despite me using the UK website. I thought they wouldn’t arrive at all given it took so long. When they arrived the blue one was fine but more flimsy than I anticipated. The black one had a faulty zip and wouldn’t open beyond a few cms and the difference in quality of the two bags was noticeable, the blue one was better made. I’ve contacted the company to see if they’ll replace the black one although as yet I haven’t heard back from them but it is the weekend so maybe their staff don’t reply at the weekends. Unfortunately, if they do replace it, it’ll be too late for my holiday this coming week. Be wary of this company who are obviously based in China and not the UK. If they resolve this issue I’ll be happy to follow up with a revised review, but buyer beware!
