Is tembomoney.com Legit?

Me and my partner used tembo for our first mortgage. From the start their service was quick, efficient and they really did make it as easy for us as possible. Saul, Joe, and Jodie were all fantastic; really knowledgeable and helped explain things throughout the process. Their service is also free for NHS staff. They really made a daunting process so much easier, we can't thank them enough.

My partner and I started working with Tembo to achieve our first mortgage. From the onset we received great customer service, they were very quick at their responses, and were always sure to keep us in the loop during each step. After only a couple of weeks, we received our mortgage offer, Tembo were incredibly quick with their services. We cannot recommend Tembo enough!

Mandy is absolutely fabulous! I recently got made redundant and unfortunately I had to take some out of my savings until I found new work in the new year! She kindly sped up the process and helped me so efficiently! Excited to start contributing in the future!

I had a LISA open with Tembo and recently bought a house. I used the funds to pay for my deposit. I found that I couldn’t access my interest until a certain day of the month which meant that although the deposit had been withdrawn, the interest was stuck in the account until the date it landed in the account. Abi was very quick to respond to my questions and in the end we managed to get my interest added to my deposit. Abi was very clear with her answers and responded well to both me and my solicitor, keeping us both in the loop. Great service but 4 stars because the interest was difficult to get out.

Really helpful service - I hadn't realised that I needed to give 30 days notice to withdraw my LISA so was in a bit of a stressy situation with 3 weeks left to completion. Fortunately a quick email to the team and Abi Smith was able to assure me that she would get on it as soon as she received the forms from my solicitor. They were able to process it in a matter of days! Very happy.

Heather K was my advisor today and can I say how impressed I was with her level of knowledge and exceptional customer service. Her advice was clear to understand, I asked so many questions and she took the time to answer each one carefully even when some seemed very obvious when she explained. I also loved the personal touch at the end when she wished me luck in my new first home. This is the one thing that has actually been easy in this whole process!!!!

Jo and Jon have been brilliant throughout the entire process! They have always been available to ask any questions and provided us with updates throughout. Truly can not thank them enough for what they have done, especially with us being first time buyers. I just wish we started with Tembo sooner in our journey as it would have made it less stressful in the beginning!

A second to none service provided by Bethany Lawrence and Callum Doherty. If I ever need to obtain another mortgage for an estate or other interest in freehold, leasehold then hands down they are my go to people.

Absolutely amazing service from Abi at Tembo. I act as a solicitor for a client using their company for an ISA. The completion date was agreed last minute which meant that there was a rush to get the ISA monies in as quickly as possible. Abi picked this up for my firm and managed to not only get this through for us against the odds, but she was very lovely to both myself and my assistant whilst she assisted us in completing the application to draw down the funds.

Rhys and Callum were amazing the whole way through sorting my first mortgage. It wasn’t the most straight forward case but they were very patient and communication was amazing. Have already recommended Tembo to my friends.

I was a little sceptical when I saw all the adverts about Tembo but I am so glad I clicked the link. I had discounted myself from being able to purchase my first home and probably would have kept saving and saving a few more years and continuing to be out run by the forever increasing house prices. Everything was just easy to do from first call to getting appointed my MA Matt. He was super responsive and educated me along the way. Then the icing on the cake was my case manager, Callum. He emailed me before I even thought of chasing anyone. I got my mortgage offer in a matter of days and it’s up to the solicitors now!

I stumbled across Tembo having not heard about them before and from start to finish they have been fantastic. Hayley took me on and had every faith in helping me find a mortgage. She understood my situation and filled me with confidence that she could help me… she wasn’t wrong! When I thought I wouldn’t stand a chance she made it happen! She was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. It’s been a 7 month process from start to finish but we got there! I would 100% recommend Tembo and their team. They understand “normal people’s” situations that the mainstream banks just brush off and won’t consider and hunt high and low to find you the product you need. A big thank you to Callum for wrapping up the final pieces. A huge thing for me is people replying quickly, regardless of the news I want to know I’m being dealt with, acknowledged and looked after. I initially contacted Tembo because I was in desperate need for an updated AIP to be completed within a couple of hours and the mortgage advisor I'd had my first conversation with was unavailable. I made an appointment online and less than an hour later, I'd had a conversation with Tembo expert Jason who took all my details and then booked me in with Jo- the mortgage advisor- for an appointment an hour later! Jo was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and emailed me with all the information I needed to secure my property (I'm doing shared ownership so the criteria was very strict) the same day.The reason I ended up staying with Tembo is because not only did Jo remain as responsive as she was in our first conversation, in her absence she had Paul and Callum to keep me informed. Once Jo had done her part, she passed me to Callum, the case manager who again was really great at keeping me informed throughout the process and very friendly to talk to as well. Despite my being randomly chosen to be audited by the lender (out of Tembo's control) I had a really smooth process with Jo, Callum, and the team, and also got a really great rate. Every time I talked to Jo it got lower and lower and I am VERY grateful for that! Thanks team! Side note: I did have a "protection review" with someone else but never got a call or email after our initial conversation. I'm not too bothered about that, so I won't dock a star, but it is something that may be more important to others so thought I'd mention it.
