taketours.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives taketours.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 69.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 69.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to taketours.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning taketours.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between taketours.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of taketours.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of taketours.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. taketours.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether taketours.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether taketours.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, taketours.com.

They never picked us up for the tour we'd booked. They didn't contact us They can't be reached on the phone. Totally scammed out of a lot of money. Ruined our trip from Australia.
Sean was our tour guide for Washington DC and Niagara Falls, he was very nice, and the pure Indian veg restaurant he recommended was also spot on. Sean's Buffalo city tour was a blast; he had us laughing the whole time with his jokes and was super informative too. Plus, Sean Sun and Joel showed us the coolest spots in Buffalo! They all spoke English well, and our hotels were clean and comfy. Totally recommend.
The hotel is not very good, and you can only expect to have a sleep over there. But actually we did not expect something fantastic since the price is very low. Luckliy, we went to a lot of places. It is a good recommendations for travelers not local and want to save times on driving. We paid for some “optional fee” to go to some places on tour. The attractions are free tho. But the tour guide provided us a lot of stories and history about those attractions and my family knew a lot after those paid activities. Seem worth. Just read the extra fee on the itinerary before the booking so you can expect how much you will need to pay.
Never trust them anywhere. Fraud people charging money for free attractions. Worst tour managers behaviour wise worst.
We went to a Banff trip, and our experience are good. It was awesome. We stayed in a hotel in Banff town, and we loved there. We joined a east coast tour last year and we decided to go Canada this year. The Canada tour is less rush but also covered all places we expected to go. Our tour guide is experienced and good at telling us what to do and what to see. I think it is better to join a tour if you are a traveler because you don't know all these gem places. Oh, you must walk on the ice! It is very funnnn!
Overall is good, but expect to have a very full schedule every day. We started at 7 every morning and end up very late. I think the reason is we have to travel a lot during 3 days. We are very tired on the night in Niagara Falls but we saw the fireworks and light show, which is deserved. If you only have a short weekend and wants to travel a lot of places, I highly recommend this tour. Btw, our guide Mark is very good.
I used this company to arrange a grand canyon and antelope canyon tour last month and the experience was good. We stayed in a very good hotel in Las Vegas. It was a bit hot in Antelope Canyon but the view is amazing!!!! Our tour guide Vincent is very nice. Lots of people in Antelope Canyon but we did not wait too long. I was a bit worried because the reviews is not very good, but I still booked it because the price is within my budget. I cant believe I stayed in such a good hotel.
WELL WHAT DO U PEOPLE EXPECT FROM THE CHEAPEST TOUR COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA Silly!! U GET WHAT U PAY FOR!! RIGHT! Lol. Their NOT running a FREE CHARITY! Right. :) Lol Wake up! Don’t book with them bc they primarily cater to their own Chinese patrons nor do they care much about what they offer? Basically think of it like your paying only for their FUEL to get to one place to another without anything else included; also be weary of pricey,TOUR COMPANIES bc sometimes I read it’s better to organize it on your own??? Pay more and do your research to find a decent sincere Tour. Okay. Thx
Love my guide Zoe! We joined a 6 day Grand Canyon tour. There are some old reviews and we wear very careful and a little bit scared actually... But Zoe just renew everything! She was very considerable and knew we are old, so she took a lot of care for us. She reminded us about the time difference and the departure time. Most of our groups are English speakers but there are another 4 people are Chinese. She also spoke Chinese to them to make them feel fair to be treated. We have to say, the optional fee is not hidden and forced to be paid. We wear very tired when we wear in Vegas so we do not want to take the night tour. But she said it is alright and no problem, all optional. We do not feel any pressure. She also told me some good place we can go by ourselves even we can't go them. I will definitely recommend everyone about this tour.
2 days to Washington DC become nightmare. This company has a really shady business: poor service, chip hotels (dirty towels, inability to lock front doors, poor drainage in toilets and sinks. etc.) and most important hiding fees for every steps of your vacation. Plus broken English with poor knowledge of subject provided by Chinese tour guide. That was made our 2 days vacation absolutely horrible. We felt cheated in every aspect of this vacation.
We joined a Niagara Falls tours. My guide Judy is very helpful and nice. Since we will need to travel to lots of places within 2 days, but Judy organized it very well. There was no breakfast in hotel, but Judy let us know earlier and helped us to prepare for that. Nice trip at this price.
Horrible terrible racist company, complete rip off, horrible customer care.,Doesn't deserve even 1*The tour driver JACK Las Vegas to Antelope (13th Dec 2018)was completely racist and womanizer in the coach,Company promised for a luxury bus for the tour, but a mini van arrived for the trip. The driver JACK was speaking to only Chinese girls in there language,Horrible seating in the mini van.We requested for veggie meal but these guys serves ham During booking even tough collected entry fees and mentioned $9 mandatory, driver JACK demanded for $ 14Abused Indians Driver JACK forced us to leave the tour in middle
Party of 4 signed up for Los Angeles City & Hollywood Star Homes. We were notified we were switched to the LA City and Muscle Beach tour when we were on the bus (that would not be going past stars’ homes.) Shawn, the driver from VIP Tours, did his best to accommodate both tours but no reason nor compensation was given for the change of tours with no notification.
booked the 4 d/3n new york , philly ,dc , niagara and boston trip. they cancelled it and booked us on the 3d/2n trip. once the trip started , they charged us 75$ per person for the dc capitol and waahington memorials tour whixh turned out to be free. at niagara , they charged us 35$ per person for night waterfall which is again free . this is SCAM !!! never book!!!
June 2023, booked an overnight tour for my retired parents from NYC to DC. These guides and tour operators are bad. Charging more and demanding cash to enter the bus for pickup came off as very shady practices when terms clearly stated a lesser amount and other payment options. There has to be a dozen other options and I'm quite confident others are a better choice. I had a post tour conversation with what I thought was a competent customer service manager to resolve overpayment issues and just genuine feedback and consideration. Nope. No follow through. The negative sentiment of other reviewers is real.
Everything is bad about this tour operator. The hotel provided was of low standards. They trick you into paying more on the bus on the pretext of showing something which might be free. They tell you to hire other local guides, which will be there members only. They abused a family and left them enroute. The family had to pay another $150 for his return trip. The chinese operating this tour are rude and running a scam.
Rocky mountain tour in May 2023:Taketours did not fulfil its commitment for airport pick up. Most of the places indicated in itinerary were passed by.It was 70% travel/hotel stay. Many photo shoot stops (15-20 mimnutes) on the way were skipped despite a request. Guide and driver were in a hurry to complete the day as early as possible(6PM). Food taste of non-Chinese tourists was not taken care of. Majority tourists were Chinese who will take side of the Chinese guide and will show adverse body language to other tourists.
Thank you taketours! To be honest I’m a human being not a random robot comment! I just received my refund $4,000++It took about 18 days refund processing back to my debit card account. I’m so happy and relieved it arrived. I would suggest to contact directly operator ms. Suzy Suzy@ gotobus.com; or email support@ gotobus.com. She Can help you with refund problems, she is understanding and a good Communicator. She explains in a calmly manner. Not like other chat operator Need more training. They considered a refund with processing fee deduction due to visa refusal. God is good. Taketours a good company you Can trust!
All fine except that we were not informed that entire tour group will be of Chinese language origin. Tour guides were talking mostly Chinese and did not have good English dialect skills. Bus driver was not able to speak English at all. Was disappointed that wifi was not working through most parts of the journey so googling about the place for information also became inaccessible. Felt as if I were in China more than USA.
East Coast tour 4 days by Taketours. Worst experience. Felt more like a school trip. Tour guide had bad time management. Do not recommend for families who need to relax and see attractions properly without hurry. Charged fees for even the free attractions. Not worth the money.

“Not highly worth”

They have all hidden charges that they ask for while you are in bus and has to be given to them in cash. They don't provide breakfast, water or even clean their bus on daily basis. They dont even inform us to be prepared with food while joining tour and then you are forced to stay hungry or eat if you find anything. Tours are super rushed, so why would you waste money when you don't find time to see attractions peacefully. I would recommend this tour only if you are ok with a rushed tour. But if you really want to enjoy then Dont go for these tours.

“Its my 3rd time taking Take Tour but had worst experience this time. Would recommend not to use this”

Its my 3rd time taking Take Tour but had worst experience this time. I would recommend not to use this tour. 1. Lunch was called at 9.30 AM and dinner at 7PM, too much gap on day between the meals. 2. Poor Accommodation, No microwave (Not even in reception) nor kettle to have hot water for drinking/to prepare handy breakfast (Since no Breakfast in the hotel). 3. Cost was changed at last min and it was much more than what was expected compared to last 2 trips i had with them. 4. Charged for Infant as well, Could not justify the reason for charging kids less than 3 years.

“Worst company of all Time Fraud”

Please avoid this company at any costs. They are a fraud website who post fake reviews. They will scam your money and even block you from posting real reviews on their page.

“Not worth what you pay”

PS: I wrote this review at their website (www.taketours.com) but they didn't display it. It looks like they display only the sweet review about them. Tour guy and driver are friendly and good. Bus is clean and comfortable. We are paying for the bus and service fee + tips but they are collecting money for everything though many of them are included as part of Itinerary. We need to come back to Flushing, NY but they asked us to move us to different bus at Niagara which was going to Corning Glass museum but we already visited Corning Glass museum while coming to Niagara and we would be missing visit of Watkins Glen Park more over we need to sit on the bus another 2 and Half hours to Corning. We said we can't move but on-way back to New York they moved us to different bus at a rest area which was really disappointing. I don't understand why are charging for non-ticketed places which are already included in the itinerary. 1. DC Tour: They showed couple of memorials and pentagon building while going on the high way but they charged $20 which is worth less. DON'T BUY 2. Niagara Falls Night Tour: This is part of itinerary, its not a tour (everyone get off from the bus and watch the falls) and It's not ticketed so everyone can go and see irrespective of paid/unpaid. Some people didn't pay but they also visited this night view. So DON'T PAY for this. 3. Touching Niagara Fall (Maid of Mist + Wind Cave + Whirlpool State Park + Niagara Power Vista): In these you need to get ticket only for Maid of Mist and Cave of Wind which cost $49.25 (Adult) and $33.5 (Kid) in total but they charged $75 (adult) and $73 (Kid). • This is too expensive I would suggest you to get tickets at Niagara Falls itself instead of buying from the tour person. • You are going to see the river and no other activities here. No tickets for Whirlpool state park so everyone can go and see the river • Niagara Power Vista: they just show the building from a mile distance so you won't see anything. Everyone can see irrespective of paid/unpaid. 4. Timing was insufficient: We need to drive and go for three hours to see a place but we get only 30-45 mins to visit which is barely enough time to explore the place but we spent many hours for coming/going on the bus. 5. No entertainment in the bus. They should put some movies for kids. 6. Unable to reach customer service for any queries/clarification after booking. 7. Charged for Included activities: They charged for everything and everyone went for everything irrespective of paid/unpaid. 8. Their website showed one amount and charged different amount. TIPs: • Ask him if it's ticketed and Don't pay for non-ticketed so you can watch them for free. • Buy Niagara Falls tickets at the counter instead of buying them from the tour guy. • If you are coming back to Flushing, NY, strictly inform to the tour guy that your destination would be Flushing, NY before you leave otherwise you need to make an alternate plan. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
