Is swissquote.lu Legit?

I received the reply below from Swissquote and it's plain that they don't understand crypto. They have facilities to deposit crypto but don't understand what they are doing. 1. a private crypto wallet has no name and address associated with it, privacy is the entire purpose of crypto. The proof that I(and only I) made the deposit is that I securely logged into swissquote and got the unique swissquote crypto deposit address sent to me and me alone. I used that address to successfully make the deposit.2. The proof of all the transaction details is all on the blockchain, A crypto wallet is just a view of the blockchain. I have sent all those detailsto you. You wont get anymore details because that is all the details there are. So, what are you going to do about this ? If you don't understand crypto then you should not be in the business.

Very poor customer support service. I have phone their helpdesk multiple times and it's always busy or diverted to 'out of hours' voicemail. I've called the UK helpdesk and Hong Kong (my local) helpdesk with no answer at all on the HK desk.I've tried to lodge a support request with their online tool (from their website) and it reports their system is down/ unavailable.

!!The worst broker of Switzerland!! almost three weeks to open a simple account, I sent some documents they requested, never received any answer from them......... my account still blocked.... Furthermore, it s impossible to contact them via email (they don't give it), and when we call them we need to wait at least 35-40 minutes.... I m gonna keep my IBKR account that's for sure!!!

I have used Swissquote as bank and currency trading provider for 8 years and these folks are trustworthy--they can be communicated with, and they're genuine. The company is big and security goes first. Text messaging can sometimes be a bit chaotic and apps may have slight issues on occasion. But they can be phoned and this company is, imao, one of more high-integrity spots on the planet.

There are issues. Opening an account is tiresome and error-prone. The product itself can't decide if it's an asset management platform, a retail trading platform or a high street bank. And sometimes it's all of these things and sometimes neither. But 4 stars because having something new and innovative in Switzerland is a treat and should be supported.

While the functionality isn't perfect, and there are many restrictions for Russian users, Swissquote remains one of the most convenient and reliable options. Thank you, Swissquote.

It's a great online solution! I really appreciated the service and low price. The multi accounting with one IBAN number and 4 linked account chf, EUR, USD & XAU. Note I don't know if is possible to add more currencies with this IBAN ? The banking solutions and payment are also modern and simple to use. The virtual debit card is also working very well with the wallet application of Google. I trust as Swissquote is in advance with cryptocurrency although in this domain the things is changing very fast!

SQ is a great online bank, all my assets are in there and the support team is really helpful. So overall for my needs is the top. Unfortunately, the major CONS is the high cost of the Swiss federal stamp/tax for trading, despite SQ has massively dropped the buy/sell commission and this makes SQ not as attractive as other competitors.Cash transfers are as well not as cheap as E.G. Revolut

Reliable and trustworthy broker. Fees are low compared with Swiss banks but still very high compared with international competition. Mobile and web interfaces work well, and good enough for users that want a lot of information, detail, and control over the process. I was less happy that shortly after opening my account, they increased custody fees for assets over 1 million. A reason I had chosen them was low fees and low (capped) custody fees.

Swissquote provides us an easy to understand platform to trade in shares, ETFs etc. They used to provide credit cards. Now, they cancel this service and offer only debit cards. I hope this transition is swift and smooth. I wish they could offer a possibility to withdraw money from ATMs.

I am new to Swissquote, and when I called their helpline I was told I could go to their offices in Gland. Extremely unhelpful and redirected me to the helpline. Wasted time and effort

I am not enjoying my experience with Swissquote. It has not really been happening for me here the way it happens for me in other places. I can't even use my debit card anymore for now and there is no explanation on why this is happening or how it can be resolved. Avoid them, that's all I can advise.

I decided to invest with Swissquote about 6 months ago after being disappointed over the long term with the financial institution that I had been investing with. I am happy with the decision to go with Swissquote. What I like about Swissquote is (Pros):1. I am in control of my investment decisions.2. The desktop website is easy to use (user friendly).3. I am seeing a slow but sure increase in my portfolio and that is encouraging.Cons: What I don't like about Swissquote are the high-priced trading fees. I wish Swissquote would lower their trading fees. I think the high-priced trading fees are the only disadvantage in using Swissquote.

I have been an account holder since 2018 and never had any issues with Swissquote, their service is efficient and accurate. Their trading platform is very comprehensive and yet user friendly. I feel my assets are super safe with Swissquote and that the most important factor to me.

Swissquote bank is very transparent. There are no hidden fees or surprises. Highly recommended for investing in Forex. They have a secure platform, you can reach customer support easily and withdraw money within 24 hours.

Onboarding is relatively smooth, although I had to make a couple of phone calls. Security measures a bit extreme, accessing the account could be a little bit faster (even optionally, per-customer base). Fees are a little bit high, though there is no inactivity fee.

The good:The steps to create an account shows that the company takes security seriously.They are clear about the cost of purchasing stocks.The platform offers a lot of options and info that can be helpfulEasy to deposit and withdraw from your account.The bad:Fees Fees Fees. You even pay quarterly fees. Not a sensible move for smaller investors who may end up paying more fees than their gains, which may cause short-term liquidity problems.
