Is storyterrace.com Legit?

It’s been a worthwhile journey but would like to have been able to do it all on the I pad rather than PC.I found all the Story Terrace staff helpful but many authors will be “aged” ( I am) & some people want to write it without bringing the kids & grandkids into the production side- mostly for the positive reason that they want it to be as nice surprise. The costs of a hard copy- 40 quid a pop are too high & that aspect needs restructuring.The principle is very good & likely there will be more & more of the elderly using the service. You should review regularly making it easier for them.

CATASTROPHIC!A real scheme. Nothing is real. They are there ONLY to take the maximun amount of money- and it is not cheap!- nothing is catered or personal. The authors are reandom and not professional and they tag along to chrage more to complete a project. At this end, it was so FRUSTRATING that we dropped everything! they did NOTHING!

After a slightly sticky start to my book (I blame AI) this was soon rectified by Terri Gordon who advised me to take a different route to the writing of my book.Following on from this I enjoyed a trouble free, efficient and speedy conclusion to the writing of my book mainly due to the expert advice and help from my Project Editor Freya Coombes.I was involved with all decisions including the lay out, title, photographs and colour. I am delighted with the finished product and would certainly recommend StoryTerrace to my family and friends.

After badgering my Dad to write his story down for years I finally realised this wasn't going to happen and so brought in the professionals. StoryTerrace is a fantastic way to capture your story, the book really captures my dad's character and we now finally have a beautiful record that has already been shared with friends and family. Barnaby (writer) and Alicer (producer) were great. My dad struggled a little bit with being the main point of contact and he missed a few emails that came to him prompting him to carry out the next step but the process itself is not too complicated although still required some time. Overall I would highly recommend Story Terrace.

First heard about Story Terrace on Dragons Den but only followed up on that in January this year when I “stumbled” across their URL still open on my phone. Extremely professional people from Lucien who made the initial contact through to my writer Gill and Editor Alice who both captured my vulnerable story telling beautifully. The process and steps to be taken are very easy to follow, although as a very busy working woman I did find it hard to keep up with their pace! The book went to print (20 copies) on Tuesday 23.7.24 and I received them on Saturday 27.7!! Quality is exceptional, although at £60 per extra copy, it should be. I am delighted with the end result and would strongly recommend Story Terrace to anyone wanting a simple, practical, and friendly route to telling your own story.

A year ago my wife gifted me the opportunity to build my own autobiography with a company called StoryTerrace. StoryTerrace has a team of skilled writers who conducted an interview directly with myself to create a memorable"Biography" Our writer Fawad was absolutely fantastic, he understood our culture and I felt at ease sharing my journey with him.All in all it was a wonderful experience.

From the first telephone call through to the final edit of my story book I was thoroughly impressed by the professional and helpful approach of the Story Terrace editor and writer. At the outset I found the idea of writing my life story quite daunting but at every stage help was on hand. We had a terrible experience with these people. The gift was for a 90+ year old mother who has written over 30 books. The offering was unprofessional, not transparent and full of basic errors - one wonders if they use AI.So we could not go forward with the project but they took all the money! In my opinion to be avoided based on our terrible experience.

I purchased this as a gift for my 83 year old father. Dad was guided by Gill, his fantastic writer, through the interview and the review process. The website was clear and easy to use helping us to understand where we were in the process, and our editor was on hand to pick up anything we missed. Our proof reader was fantastic and raised some really interesting observations! I think it would be harder for someone less familiar with reviewing drafts but I would recommend StoryTerrace and thank Gill for helping Dad write his life story so beautifully.

It turned out well. Those who have read it seem impressed not just with the content.The only downside was occasionally the content for a section disappeared. This was sorted rapidly.The experience was a great one and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to give writing a try.
