stayforless.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives stayforless.com a medium trust score on the platform: 60.7. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 60.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to stayforless.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning stayforless.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between stayforless.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of stayforless.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of stayforless.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. stayforless.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether stayforless.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether stayforless.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, stayforless.com.

I wanted to cancel my reservation they never answered the phone. Extended Stay America Select Suites - St Louis - Westport - East Lackland Rd. I hate to say it that this location was ghetto. First hour somebody hit the alarm so that was annoying. So then I paid for linen didn't get it until the last day. Second day started cooking that's when the roaches came out. They had dirty towels in the bathroom. So then I wanted to call down to the office but noticed that it didn't have a cord to the phone so I ask about it but they said maintenance doesn't work on the weekend. So this will be the last time at this location I ever will visit. I give this location a 0 stars
I booked a hotel stay in SF on their platform and they took money out of my bank but upon arriving at the hotel, Executive Hotel Vintage Court, the person at the front desk denied me service without cause (I have it on video recording and will also post online). When I emailed StayForLess for a refund, I was responded to in a separate email generated by Zendesk and it's been 3+ days and no one has gotten back to me on my refund. I'll need to spend time talking to my bank now to fix an issue that wasn't even mine to begin with. When I emailed them about ONE hotel stay that denied me service, Andelina convoluted my request by adding in an additional hotel reservation where I DID stay at and proceeded to make me wait several days before telling me that I won't be getting a refund since I stayed at the given hotels (the one I was not reporting). This site is a scam and I'm filing another ticket as well as contacting my bank.
I searched for a night in a hurry on Google maps, for the night of 21st august, and stayforless was the cheapest option.I quickly followed the SMS onboarding and go to the payment page. But as soon as I entered my credit card details, stayforless told me this price was no longer available, and presented me with a new offer, slightly more expensive.I found this already quite dubious, but I needed the night so I paid... Only to realize afterwards that these crooks' second offer was for a night 2 days later, which I didn't need at all !!!So they bait you with good price, withdraw their offer, and then make you pay for a night you don't need, relying on the customer being confident that the new offer is for the same night, which is a reasonable expectation.Of course, nights are not refundable once booked, so I lost my 100€ to this scam service. Customer service never answered my complaint.Never ever book anything from stayforless.com
Tried to book a hotel through stayforless. When I checked out it said the rate I had was no longer available and I had to book again. When I tried again it gave me an error saying it wasn't able to confirm if the booking went through! Useless website double charged and double booked me. I was unable to get any help from calling or emailing and ended up doing a charge back through my bank.
I booked the wrong dates for my hotel, customer service was excellent and very attentive. They refunded me my money and everything went smoothly. 10/10 would recommend.
Awful experience. I arrived at the hotel to find out they have no record of our reservation. Waited over an hour for customer service, stay for less, to fix the issue at which time I asked for a refund. They say they are processing it, hopefully they are. Will never use again.
Please do not use the company at all. We booked a suite with executive access at the Sofitel in Abu Dhabi for a 40th celebration and they didn’t arrange the second room for us. We then spend over two hours trying to sort a room on arrival at the hotel and then managed to sort a standard room. We are having to communicate with the customer care who are diabolical and were unable to resolve this problem on the phone. One month on, and the email communication has not been helpful and the team have only offered us £20 remuneration despite paying more than that initially for the premium suite and executive access (which we didn’t get)! The company are a nightmare and are very difficult to communicate with when the problem arose. We are now raising a chargeback with our credit card company due to sales of goods act and under section 75. Please reconsider any prospective bookings with this company.
I book online with stayforless. Arrived at the hotel and yes sure enough the hotel had my reservation but through Agoda, not stayforless as according to online and my email reservation. The hotel could not process the booking because someone forgot to give the hotel the CVV. I called Agoda thinking it would be easy, but noooo, Agoda told me they could not even find my booking with the booking number nor the code reservation number, but did find it under my name, but they could not do anything because stayforless was a third party company partner and that I had to go through another middle person Priceline who is supposed to be another partner company between the above two clowns. I tried calling Priceline with no success in getting their number, I then called Agoda to speak to someone else, but since it was another party partner who initiated the transaction, they would have to wait for stayforless to give them permission in order for Agoda to call the hotel on my behalf. I them tried to call stayforless with too long of a wait that I simply hanged the phone. I will try and write to all three clowns to see if they will dance together to resolve this stressful situation. I ended up paying the hotel directly to avoid staying up in the lobby moaning and groaning in frustration. Even if Agoda told me that those companies are their partners and they work together, they still didn't have any phone numbers of those partner companies. Imagine how stupid that sounds in 2024, how worst is it going to be the following years...
We had an amazing experience with Stay For Less. This travel agency is very considerate. I spoke with Sharon, one of their staff & she is very kind and accommodating. We weren't able to push through with our trip because my husband John got sick so suddenly and to our surprise we got a full refund of our ticket that's non-refundable considering our situation. Thank you, StayForLess and your team. Great job!
Tried to book a room using this company, as I paid they said that the room wasn’t available at that price anymore but still took my money, I’ve emailed and called them but had no response, absolute scam of a company and should be looked into
Do NOT use this site!!! I recently booked a hotel through "stayforless.com" and 3 days later, my credit card was compromised. Someone booked themselves an Expedia trip for over $1300... scammers
Stay for less do not used this site they are a rip off warning do not use.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
